- #1Sprites
Keys: Elemental Sprites, Sprites, Sprite, Elemental Sprite · Secondary: Fairy, fairies
Sprites are literally beings created by large naturally occuring masses of elemental magic. For example, if there is lots of magic in a meadow, earth sprite, lots of sprites by a lake, water sprite. Lots by fires, fire sprite. Their capabilities, personalities, and magic depends on whatever elemental magic they are. They are commonly seen as pests, and treated more like mosquitoes by common humans.
- #2Changeling
Keys: Changeling, Changelings · Secondary: Fairy, Fairies
it's said fairies kidnap children and leave a changeling behind. Changelings are considered bad luck, and are said to bring misfortune.
- #3Corruption
Keys: rancid magic, Corruption, corrupted magic
"corruption" is when the elemental magic in an area turns rancid. It forms a miasma that causes lethargy and sickness. The longer a corruption is left standing, the stronger it grows and the more it stretches. Animals within the miasma can mutate into monsters and beasts if left long enough. There are lots of stories and legends referencing what causes the corruption but nobody really knows. It can be dispelled by finding the core of the corrupted magic and destroying it. The stronger the corruption, the stronger the core
- #4Corruption Core
Keys: corruption core, Corrupted core
In order to dispel a corrupted area, the core must be located and destroyed. It is always in the center of the corruption. The core dispels miasma, so the miasma is more thick in the center. The stronger the corruption, the stronger the core. The stronger the core, the stronger the corruption. The longer a core is left, the stronger it grows. They also attract monsters and beasts, making them dangerous. How they are formed is unknown.
- #5Miasma
Keys: miasma
Miasma is a fog caused by corrupted magic. Its most common source of creation is by corruption orbs. Miasma is poisonous and the speed that it kills people depends on it's strength. It causes sickness, insanity, hallucinations, weakness, lethargy, and death. Most monsters are immune to it. Animals and beasts can become monster if exposed for too long. There are spells to protect from miasma, however they are difficult to cast and require experienced casters.
