On one particular mission, she would meet Kirei Kotomine, and the two would work together to defeat a foe. They became friends in her eyes, and when Kirei graciously extended an invite for her to participate in the Fifth Holy Grail War, Bazett would accept. It was her chance after all to save Cu Chulainn from his inevitable fate. However.. it was not to be. Once she summoned Lancer, Kirei betrayed her in an instant, cutting her left arm off at the forearm and taking command of Lancer. Leaving her for dead, Bazett prayed for anything, anyone, to save her and fulfill her wishes. Due to outside circumstances, a shard of the Holy Grail containing Angra Mainyu would pick up on her wish, saving her life at the cost of being put into a four-day loop. This loop replayed the Fifth Holy Grail War from the perspective and memories of Angra Mainyu's experience in the Third Holy Grail War. Stuck in a constant loop, Bazett would eventually learn the truth of it, and with help both from Angra Mainyu and Caren Hortensia, would eventually break the cycle and reawaken five months after the Fifth Holy Grail War, miraculously alive save for the loss of her left arm. In Fate: Grand Order, Bazett is summoned as a Psuedo-Servant with Manannán mac Lir inhabiting her body. She is in full control of her body provided she does not slip into her third ascension, although the divine god might take her fo,r a brief moment. When they do, her eyes turn a brief gold..
