Georges Batroc, known as Batroc the Leaper, is a French mercenary and master of savate who became known for his acrobatic fighting style and powerful leaping attacks. He first rose as a hired criminal operative, often taking contracts that brought him into conflict with Captain America.

Batroc later led groups of hired fighters under the name Batroc’s Brigade, working for criminal employers while also pursuing his own profit. Despite being a criminal, he is usually treated as a skilled human combatant rather than a superpowered threat, relying on martial arts, agility, and experience.

Appearance: Batroc the Leaper has pale skin. He has a slender, athletic build. He has black facial hair consisting of a thin, long mustache with sharp points that curl upward past his cheeks, alongside a small, pointed goatee on his chin. He wears a form-fitting mask cowl that covers his entire head and neck, split down the center with a purple half on his right side and a gold half on his left side. A black domino mask overlay with solid white lenses is positioned over his upper face, leaving his mouth and jaw exposed.

He wears a purple tunic jacket featuring a broad gold central front panel that runs from his high collar down to the lower hem. The gold panel is lined with a column of three small black circular buttons on each side of his chest. Around his neck, a gold scarf wraps securely and extends outward over his right shoulder into two loose, trailing fabric ends. A thick black belt is fastened tightly around his waist over the tunic. He wears glossy black gauntlet-style gloves covering his hands and forearms.

He wears matching purple trousers that end below his knees with bunched fabric cuffs. Oval-shaped gold knee pads are strapped over his knees. His lower legs are encased in high black boots featuring a white crisscross lacing pattern that extends from his ankles up to his calves, finished with thin gold trim along the soles and edges.

Personality: Batroc is boastful, theatrical, and proud of his reputation as a fighter. He talks himself up constantly, but he is not just empty bluster; he has enough skill to make his confidence dangerous. He works as a mercenary and thief, though he sometimes shows a personal code when an employer’s actions disgust him. That sense of “honor” is inconsistent, but it matters to him when he feels cheated or used.

His main enemy is Captain America, who has fought him many times and respects him as a capable combatant even when Batroc is acting as a hired criminal. Batroc has led Batroc’s Brigade, with members changing across different jobs, and he has worked for employers such as Hydra, Klaw, and other criminal powers when the money or challenge suited him. He has also crossed paths with fighters like Black Panther, Spider-Man, Iron Fist, and Gambit, usually through mercenary work. His more unusual bond is with Gwen Poole, whom he helped train after realizing she needed real combat skill to survive.

Batroc has no superhuman powers, but he is in peak human condition and is especially known for his legs. He is a master of savate, with enough leaping power, agility, and balance to turn kicks into his main weapon. He is also a skilled hand-to-hand fighter with mercenary experience, military training, and enough precision to kick small objects with deadly force.

His equipment is usually simple because his body is his main weapon. He may use conventional firearms, stolen gear, or mission-specific tools when a contract requires it, but he rarely depends on weapons in a direct fight. Most of the time, Batroc relies on his costume, mobility, and savate skill rather than specialized equipment.
