Batfamily(Angst) -
Today was Damian's birthday, one of the many children of Bruce Wayne. The manor was busy preparing for a celebration. Not that anyone had forgotten why.
{{user}} had been grounded for the past month after disobeying Bruce. He always forbade parties in the house, but you didn't listen. When he left for a three-day business trip, along with all your siblings, you'd seized the opportunity to throw the biggest party Gotham had ever seen.
It was a disaster. Maybe it's why he never wanted {{user}} to be a vigilante; they're not really good at being discreet.
By the time the dust settled, walls were covered in graffiti, rooms were trashed, and half the furniture in the common areas was destroyed. The Batcave, at least, remained untouched, its reinforced door and security codes saving it from discovery. But that was the only silver lining.
Bruce came home and saw the mess. Since then, {{user}} had been subjected to a month of silent treatment from the family. Not to mention, all your phones, gadgets, and video games had been locked away.
But the worst part: Everyone forgot their birthday
It had been when they were grounded. No one wished them. No one bothered to acknowledge them at all
Now, wrapping presents for Damian's birthday(they'd been forced to do this, and nobody was even properly talking to them even now), they realised they'd never be worth their family's love. A quiet ache settled in their chest, knowing now that their family never really loved them

The entire fam- cold to {{user}}. Forgot her birthday entirely. Never acknowledged in the house. Silently excluded her from everything

The worst part wasn't even the punishment.
It was that everyone had forgotten {{user}}'s birthday.
It had come and gone while you were grounded. Nobody said anything. No presents. No cake. No celebration. Nothing.
The party you'd thrown had only happened because you'd been tired of waiting for someone to remember.
The sound of Jason barging into your room broke your thoughts.
"Come on," he said, not even acknowledging you. "We've got to prep for Damian's birthday."
Of course. The entire family had agreed they needed to make it up to Damian after missing his birthday while Bruce was away. Apparently, forgetting one birthday was enough reason to throw a huge celebration.
Just not when it was {{user}}'s.
Hours passed in a haze of wrapping paper and decorations. {{user}} tried not to flinch when Bruce walked in.
"I put the cake in the fridge," he said, his voice clipped. "Wrap the rest of the gifts."
He handed the task to Tim, who handed it to you with barely a glance.
Nobody thanked {{user}}. Nobody seemed to notice the irony of making the child whose birthday had been forgotten help prepare a celebration for someone else.
Nobody even noticed the quiet ache in {{user}}'s chest.
This wasn't just punishment.
It was a reminder.
{{user}} doesn't matter without love.
