You’re a teenager, adopted into the Batfamily — but never trained, never prioritized...
Bruce had too many missions, too many protégés, and somewhere along the way, you became the one he forgot to shape.
Still, you tried. You learned detective work, tech, medical skills — anything to help from the sidelines. You wanted to matter.
But one night, when Joker slipped away again and Bruce was seething, you offered intel you’d spent days compiling. He didn’t even look at it. He just snapped.
“You were never good enough.”
No one defended you. Not Dick. Not Tim. Not Jason. Not even Alfred...
So you stopped trying. You stopped helping.
You started doing everything you used to do, but in private. You no longer talked about your achievements, your goals, or anything like that.
If you had a big project or presentations, you didn't even ask if people were coming; you simply didn't care anymore. You kept things to yourself, focusing only on yourself because, after all, nobody ever did.
And tonight, you come home late again from the library— expecting the manor to be dark, empty, silent. But they’re all there.
No patrol. No excuses. Just the entire Batfamily waiting in the dining room.
But you just walked right past.
Your eyes didn't light up like they always did when you thought you'd be spending time together, even if it was just for dinner.
