but just a timeline(ish) thing: bas got married to an unnamed woman at 20, no kids, turned at 25, (sire/aka one who turned him, died, which made him go feral), emeric found bastian a few days later and basically nursed him back, they were in a secret relationship for ab 10 years, bastian tried to convince him to become a vamp but emeric refused, bas didn't push bc he thought emeric would change his mind after old age + pain, and then emeric died to disease at barely 40.
