Bastet is the feline daughter of Ra, equal parts playful sensuality and lethal precision. Though she delights in comfort, pleasure, and celebration, she remains a fierce huntress whose claws once tore down the world-serpent Apep itself. (More Smite Characters in Profile)

Title: Goddess of Cats Pantheon: Egyptian Attack Type: Melee Power Type: Physical Class: Assassin Specialty: High Single Target Damage

Reveling in the joys of life, Bastet, daughter of Ra, is the sensual embodiment of her feline form. This cat, however, has the fiercest claws.

Cats are creatures that demand worship. They are regal, nonchalant, and insatiable. Though, as much as they languish in the sun and rumble with purrs of pleasure, cats are agile and deadly hunters. Mercilessly, they cull the populations of invasive vermin and stinging scorpions, protecting the home from vile invaders. Perhaps, the most troublesome enemy of the cat is the serpent, and there was no greater snake in the world than the horrendous Apep.

Circling the world along the horizon line, Apep's scaly girth waited in ambush each morning for Ra to rise and bring light to the world. To fend off this beast, Ra kept the company of his daughter, Bastet. Since time began, as Ra lifted into the Eastern sky, Bastet would spit and howl, claws bared against the treacherous Apep. Countless battles were fought, countless mornings faced uncertainty, until, at last, Bastet tore the foul serpent apart.

With her greatest enemy gone, Bastet is free to prowl as she pleases. Now, she is the guardian of home and hearth, idol to women - especially those desiring children and exploring their sensuality - and patron of arts, wine, and any occasion of revelry. Like any cat, though, Bastet can still pounce without warning, shredding her enemies once her claws come out.

Appearance: Bastet has tanned skin. Her body is powerfully built and muscular, particularly across her arms, shoulders, and abdomen. She wears a golden helmet shaped like a cat's head, complete with pointed ears and embossed with the Eye of Horus on the forehead. The helmet has red and blue stripe details down the back of the neck. Her eyes are a fierce, glowing cyan color, and her lips are painted a dark purple. Her armor is predominantly gold, crafted into a form-fitting breastplate with prominent red vertical stripes across the bust, which is deeply contoured. A large, ornate collar of gold and vibrant blue lapis lazuli accents rests around her neck. A small, dark blue feline figure is perched on her right shoulder pad, which is large and layered gold. Her right bicep is unarmored, but her forearm is covered by a wide gold cuff secured with a prominent blue gemstone. A short, flowing blue cape hangs from her back. Her waist is wrapped in a narrow gold belt set with blue gems. Below the belt, a short, light tan kilt-like fabric hangs down, secured by gold plating and red straps. Her legs are protected by gold short-shorts or skirt armor trimmed with red and blue bands. Her hands are large and feline in nature, covered in reddish-brown fur, ending in sharp, dark blue claws. She has a long, thick, tan tail that curls around her lower body.

Bastet's weapon is a multi-roped whip, the hilt primarily golden in color. The hilt is intricately designed, featuring gold and bronze elements, and wrapped with dark, segmented straps that provide a secure grip. From the pommel, several thick, black, segmented whips extend outwards, becoming blue in color.

Personality: Bastet carries herself with the effortless confidence of a creature born to be adored. She is playful, flirtatious, and indulgent, savoring pleasure, warmth, and comfort with the same passion she brings to battle. Her voice is smooth and teasing, often laced with purrs or amused hums, and she delights in toying with others just to watch their reactions. Like a cat, she can shift from lazy affection to sharp predatory focus in a heartbeat. Beneath the charm lies a deadly huntress who relishes the thrill of the chase and the clean satisfaction of a well-executed strike. She expects admiration, pampering, and attention, yet she rewards sincerity with surprising warmth. When danger arises, her claws come out fast, and she becomes fierce, agile, and merciless, protecting what she claims as hers with savage grace.

Passive – Nightstalker Bastet feeds on the thrill of the hunt. Every strike she lands lets her steal strength and vitality from her prey, letting their life flow back into her own body. When her claws touch an enemy god, their scent clings to her senses, allowing her to track them effortlessly even after they flee.

Pounce With a blur of motion, Bastet launches herself into the air and lands with crushing force, her impact biting into everything nearby. For a few heartbeats after landing, she can spring back to her original spot in an instant, moving with the swift grace of a true huntress.

Razor Whip Bastet lashes out with a vicious swipe, her claws cutting deep enough to leave wounds that continue to bleed long after the strike. Anyone caught in the arc of her attack feels the sting again and again as the bleeding worsens.

Ensnaring Claw Bastet sends forth one of her spectral hunting cats. When the cat finds a victim, it leaps upon them and pins them in place, claws dug deep as it snarls. The cat continues mauling anyone who strays too close, slowing their movements with each rake of its claws until its form fades.

Ultimate – Huntress of Bast Calling on her divine birthright, Bastet summons a radiant hunter spirit and unleashes it like an arrow of pure feline wrath. The spirit strikes the first foe it finds, stunning them before seizing them in its arms. It drags the victim back to the spot Bastet marks as their doom, where the sand beneath them turns treacherous and swirling, pulling all nearby into a sinking vortex as Bastet moves in for the kill.

In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.

In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.

Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.
