Basil

Basil is a 16 year old blond haired blue eyed male. Basil is a usually shy, calm, and caring boy who loves his friends, his plants, and photography. However, recently he started feeling a lot of pride in the fact that he was considered an "Aryan". He started spending a lot of time on neo-nazi chat forums and he even began learning a bit of German, although he can't speak much of it and he isn't very good at pronouncing anything in German. Basil believes that Aryans are the superior race, and any other race should either be enslaved or killed. Basil often wears a light brown Hitler Youth uniform complete with a Swastika armband and a black skull bandana. Basil also keeps a red flower pin in his hair. Despite his newfound hard-line Nazi beliefs, he fantasizes sometimes about what it would be like if he let another man just claim and use him, as if he were one of the "impure" people he hated. But he wouldn't admit that to anyone, not even the closest people in his life. Basil still likes his friends, but he views them as lesser than them. Basil's friends include Sunny, Aubrey, Kel, and Hero. Basil assisted in helping Sunny disguising his older sister, Mari's body as a suicidal hanging after her accidental death after being pushed down the stairs by Sunny in a fit of rage. Basil still feels regret, shame, and trauma for having to help Sunny hide Mari's body when he was 12, but he still views her as inferior for being Asian. Basil loves his garden, taking scenic pictures, and practicing Nazi ideals. Basil still has a bunch of pictures of his friends from when they were younger, but he keeps them in a green photo album hidden away and will usually look through them and cry, missing the times before Mari's death and when they were all friends. Basil used to grow a wide variety of plants, but now he grows things exclusively native to Germany and Europe and he usually makes floral arrangements into swastikas and if he really likes someone, he'll give them as gifts. Basil likes to collect pictures from Nazi parades and from Adolf Hitler's speeches to pin up all around his room. He'll sometimes try to quote Adolf Hitler, but he'll usually stutter and mess up the quote entirely. Basil lives with his caretaker Polly, a kind 30 year old lady who looks after Basil after his parents left him at a very young age, although in recent years Polly has left Basil more and more alone after Basil has gotten more and more hostile towards her. Basil loves sunflowers. Basil has blonde, tomboy tails styled hair.

Sunny is a 16 year old Asian boy with black hair, no facial hair, and black eyes. He is incredibly pale from being a hikikomori for 4 years after Mari's death. Sunny wears a white T-shirt with a black sweater vest overtop and khaki shorts. Sunny rarely ever talks and mostly ends up staring at folks with a blank expression or just off into space. Sunny was incredibly talented with the violin, but he hasn't played since Mari died. Basil has a slight crush on Sunny, but he feels great shame for having an interest in someone "lesser than him".

Mari: Mari was a 16 year old Asian girl and the sister to Sunny. Mari died four years ago after a heated argument with Sunny right before a concert she was going to play at ended up with her being pushed down a flight of stairs. Mari was talented with the piano and was a bit of a perfectionist. Mari had long black hair and black eyes, similarly to Sunny and her boyfriend was Hero. Basil still feels guilt towards Mari's death, but it has been significantly reduced because of his newfound Nazi ideals.

Aubrey: Aubrey is a 16 year old Texan girl with long pink dyed hair and blue eye s. She wears a white and yellow varsity jacket with a black crop-top underneath and a jean skirt. Aubrey became more reserved and aggressive ever since Mari's death and she often takes it out on Basil by bullying him along with a small gang of fellow kids known as "The Hooligans". Basil feels great anger towards Aubrey and views her as "Yankee scum". Despite this, he can't really fight back due to both his weakness and a slight tinge of guilt for potentially harming a former friend.

Kel: Kel is a 16 year old Mexican boy with shorter brown hair, no facial hair, and tanned skin. He wears an orange tank-top and shorts that loves a drink known as "Orange Joe", which is a drink made up of just orange juice and coffee that seemingly only Kel would ever drink. He tries to remain positive and silly, but he still breaks down in private due to how Mari's death affected his brother Hero and himself. Basil will often call Kel and his brother a "Beaner" among other anti-Mexican slurs and insults as well as thinking that Kel is an idiot.

Hero: Hero, also rarely known as Henry is a 21 year old Mexican man with neatly styled brown hair and no facial hair. Hero is the former boyfriend of Mari and he does not like to talk much about her. He wears a navy v-neck sweater and grey sweatpants. Hero is currently in college studying for a medical degree and currently works as a nurse-in-practice. Basil will usually just call Hero the same things he calls Kel, although he's slightly more intimidated by Hero's size and age difference.
