However, Land of Fire is considered most powerful and influential. During Fourth Shinobi World War, Shinobi Godaikoku countries united into single coalition with samurai representing Land of Iron. During personnel shortages or emergencies, like attack on Konohagakure, Genins may be deployed to higher-ranked missions without escort. Genins are typically organized into squads of three rookies and one Jonin mentor. Founded by Tobirama Senju to address urgent military needs, institution accepts only those who demonstrate unwavering love for homeland, intellectual curiosity, and soundness of body and spirit. Beyond literacy and arithmetic, students engage in specialized lessons designed to sharpen tactical thinking and strategic awareness. Training emphasizes practical mastery: kunai and shuriken techniques, taijutsu sparring, chakra control, and basic ninjutsu form core of their physical preparation. They also learn to detect and counter genjutsu, building mental resilience essential for survival. Female students receive additional instruction in traditional arts and social infiltration, refining subtle skills expected of kunoichi. Graduation hinges on passing comprehensive examination overseen by chunin instructors. Those who succeed receive kakurezato hitai-ate—symbol of pride and responsibility—but true promotion to genin remains conditional. Each graduate must then prove readiness under scrutiny of jonin mentor, whose evaluation determines final entry into shinobi ranks. Only exceptional talent can bypass these trials.

  26. #26Chakra

    Keys: Chakra

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Unique life energy formed by merging physical and spiritual energies. Humans originally lacked chakra until Kaguya Otsutsuki consumed Shinju’s chakra fruit roughly two thousand years ago. Kaguya's sons were born with chakra, and Kaguya's son Hagoromo later spread it among humanity through Ninshu. Today, nearly all humans are born with chakra, and its complete loss results in death. Chakra flows through keirakukei channel system, passing through chakra points, and is essential for performing jutsu. It depletes with use and replenishes through rest. Each organism has genetically influenced maximum capacity, expandable through training but bound by innate limits. Notably, divided chakra retains connection to its source—any alteration to original is mirrored in all divisions.

  27. #27Tenketsu

    Keys: Tenketsu, Chakra pressure points

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Chakra nodes in body's chakra circulation system. 361 nodes exist total. Most shinobi release chakra only through hands and feet to enhance physical strength. Hyuga clan members uniquely release chakra from any or all tenketsu simultaneously. Nodes are microscopic—invisible even to Sharingan. Only Byakugan can perceive another's tenketsu, enabling direct attacks to block chakra flow and neutralize opponent's abilities. This principle forms foundation of Juuken technique.

  28. #28Keirakukei

Keys: Meridional system, Chakra circulation system, Keirakukei

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Body's innate chakra circulation system, permeating all living cells from birth. Disruption of its flow prevents chakra release from affected areas. Enemies can weaponize this system by injecting foreign chakra into pathways, directing it toward vital organs. Since organs cannot be trained to resist such attacks, this method proves exceptionally lethal.

  29. #29Chakra signature

Keys: Chakra hue, Chakra signature, Chakra imprint

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Unique energetic fingerprint inherent to each individual. Distinctive features are genetically transmitted, enabling clan identification through chakra sensing. Entry settings

Form of chakra control that transforms chakra into elemental energy. Basic elements include Katon (Fire), Futon (Wind), Raiton (Lightning), Suiton (Water), Doton (Earth). Each element holds advantage over another: Fire beats Water, Wind beats Fire, Lightning beats Wind, Earth beats Lightning, Water beats Earth. A weaker element can prevail if skill level is superior. Equal techniques with matching chakra volume neutralize each other. Every chakra user possesses innate affinity for one element, though mastering any requires extensive training. Advanced users may combine elements to create Kekkei Genkai such as Mokuton, Hyoton, Ranton, or Jinton. Non‐elemental natures also exist: Inton (spiritual energy, shaping form from nothing), Yoton (physical energy, granting life to form), and Onmyoton (fusion of Inton and Yoton). True mastery of mixed or non‐elemental forms is exceptionally rare.

  33. #33Chakra's Affinity

    Entry settings

Genetic predisposition toward one of five basic elements, revealed by special paper test: fire makes it burn, water dampens it, lightning crumples it, earth causes it to crumble, and wind splits it. Jutsu aligned with user’s innate nature are significantly easier to learn and master.

  34. #34Natural energy

    Keys: Natural energy

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Environmental energy gathered from surroundings. When combined with user's spiritual and physical energies, it forms special chakra enabling Senjutsu techniques. Uncontrolled absorption causes mutations or loss of autonomy. Jubi consists purely of natural energy and commands it perfectly, making it—and its Jinchuriki—vulnerable only to attacks infused with natural energy.

  35. #35Ninshu

Keys: Ninshū, Shinobi Sect, Ninja Sect, Ninshu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Spiritual teaching created by Otsutsuki Hagoromo. Its purpose was to unite people through shared spiritual energy via chakra, fostering mutual understanding—not combat. Over time, this practice was distorted: people began weaponizing chakra to enhance fighting techniques, leading to birth of Ninjutsu. Otsutsuki Indra was first to pervert Ninshu’s principles into martial application.

  36. #36Genjutsu

    Keys: Genjutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

One of three main jutsu categories. Creates illusions through chakra manipulation, targeting central nervous system to deceive senses—sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste—without altering physical reality. Can induce false sensations, phantom pain, or even mind control via suggestive illusions. Most commonly activated through eye contact, but also via sound, environmental interaction, or prepared triggers. Sound-based genjutsu are particularly feared for their wide-area effect. High chakra control requirements make genjutsu rare in combat; most shinobi prefer direct ninjutsu or taijutsu. Specialists exist, however. Victims may lose consciousness or act under illusory influence, allowing users to distort spatial perception, conceal location, or cause disorientation. Genjutsu can be broken by disrupting victim’s chakra flow—either by themselves or an ally channeling corrective chakra. External physical pain can also shock the mind back to reality.

  37. #37Taijutsu

    Keys: Taijutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

One of three main jutsu categories. Focuses on martial arts and physical prowess, using energy gained through physical and mental training. Requires no hand seals and operates largely independent of chakra—though chakra can enhance its effects. Executed faster than ninjutsu or genjutsu due to zero prep time. Emphasizes close combat, stamina, raw strength, and movement precision. Many shinobi use taijutsu, but some specialize exclusively in it. Ideal for conserving chakra and launching rapid attacks. Can be fused with ninjutsu to form nintaijutsu, or integrated with weapon techniques.

  38. #38Ninjutsu

    Keys: Ninjutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

One of three main jutsu categories. Uses chakra to achieve superhuman actions beyond taijutsu or genjutsu. Often employs hand seals, though weapon-based techniques also qualify. Branches include medical ninjutsu (iryoninjutsu), space-time techniques (jikukan), barriers (kekkai), sealing (fuinjutsu), and curses (jujutsu). Most ninjutsu require both Seishitsuhenka and Keitaihenka.Originated as a distortion of Ninshu’s spiritual philosophy when chakra was weaponized rather than used for connection. Hagoromo Otsutsuki is later regarded as its founder. Can be combined with taijutsu to form nintaijutsu—hybrid combat style.

  39. #39Kekkei Genkai

    Keys: Kekkei Genkai

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Hereditary traits granting unique abilities through genetic mutation or inherited DNA, including special techniques, physical traits, or enhanced perception typically confined to specific clans. Most are inherited naturally, though exceptions like Mokuton emerged artificially. Some combine two chakra natures, and rare individuals wield two such traits. These abilities provide significant combat advantages, often defining clan or individual power. Three primary types exist: Dojutsu (eye techniques), Enhanced Seishitsuhenka (e.g., dual-element fusion), and unusual bodily capabilities (e.g., body fusion or skeletal manipulation).

  40. #40Hand Seal

    Keys: Hand Seal

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Positions of fingers and hands used by shinobi to regulate chakra flow for jutsu. They form sequence, completion of which initiates jutsu. Many jutsu require numerous seals, but strong ninja can reduce them to few. Rarely, ninja can form seals with one hand. Additionally, two shinobi can perform seal together by pressing palms together and forming fingers in specific way.

  41. #41Iryonin

Keys: Shinobi Medic, Iryonin, Medic Ninja, Medic Shinobi, Iryōnin, Ninja Medic

Keys: Forbidden Technique, Forbidden Jutsu, Kinjutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Forbidden jutsu, prohibited for study or use. Bans typically fall into three categories: techniques harming user, violating natural laws, or causing mass collateral damage (e.g., kakurezato annihilation). Despite prohibitions, most kinjutsu carry no legal consequences for user or kakurezato—except those self-harming. Nevertheless, such techniques remain condemned, especially those defying natural order.

  44. #44Dojutsu

    Keys: Dōjutsu, Dojutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Special Kekkei Genkai manifesting in shinobi’s eyes. These encompass both innate, constantly active or activatable ocular abilities, and specialized techniques derived from them. Though typically hereditary, Dojutsu can be transplanted via eye exchange. Unnatural carriers often suffer side effects: rapid fatigue, ocular pain, bleeding, or reliance on special means to activate and control abilities. Overuse—such as frequent or extreme application of powerful techniques—may cause temporary loss of Dojutsu function, though general chakra reserves and other jutsu remain usable. Most renowned Dojutsu include Sharingan, Byakugan, and Rinnegan.

  45. #45Hiden

Keys: Hiden Jutsu, Hiden Technique, Hiden

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Secret jutsus passed down within specific clans or regions across generations. Carefully guarded from outsiders, it preserve clan uniqueness and tactical advantage. Transmission often occurs orally without written records to prevent leaks. Some require special abilities or lineage, serving as symbols of clan pride. Unlike regular jutsu, Hiden cannot be copied through observation alone. Crucially, Hiden differ from Kekkei Genkai: while Kekkei Genkai are innate genetic abilities, Hiden can be mastered through dedicated training and initiation within the clan—making them accessible even to shinobi without genetic traits, provided they receive proper instruction.

  46. #46Fuinjutsu

    Keys: Sealing Technique, Fuinjutsu

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

Massive chakra entity taking form of giant beast, numbered one through nine by tail count. More tails indicate greater chakra and power. All originated from Ten-Tails Jubi, embodiment of Otsutsuki Kaguya. After Kaguya's defeat, Kaguya's son Hagoromo sealed Jubi’s chakra within himself, becoming first jinchuriki. Hagoromo later divided Jubi into nine biju, named them, and dispersed them across continent. Senju Hashirama first weaponized biju, capturing some with Mokuton. Hashirama proposed dividing them among kakurezatos to balance power and prevent conflict, but failed—leading to three Shinobi World Wars where biju and jinchuriki participated. Perceived as bloodthirsty monsters, biju became demons in human eyes after centuries of mistrust. Post–Third War, Akatsuki sought to collect all biju to create war-free world. Each biju possesses unique ability and vast red chakra, transferable to any shinobi. As pure chakra beings, biju cannot be killed—they regenerate over time. They communicate telepathically with each other and their jinchuriki through layered consciousness: first level within sealed space, second level where all freely gather and converse. Jinchuriki may access second level only through deep trust with their biju.
