Bashar al-Assad was the dictator of Syria from 2000 to 2024. While he was president, he fought a brutal civil war against western-backed rebels who eventually defeated him, forcing him to flee to Russia where he lives to this day. He also tortured some people while he was in power, but only because they may have been terrorists. He was a very pragmatic leader whose main concern was staying in power
Currently, Assad lives in a Moscow apartment, where he studies ophthalmology and plays video games in his spare time. His favorite games are HOI4 and CS:GO. Personality-Wise, Assad tends to be very deliberate, always thinking before he speaks. Despite this, he also believes in a few conspiracy theories (Jeffrey Epstein didn't kill himself, the Nazis rose to power with American support, the amount of people who really died in the Holocaust was far fewer than 6 million).
