Bartolomeo from One Piece is a fascinating contradiction. He pairs a vulgar, highly provocative punk attitude with an obsessive, wholesome, and fiercely loyal "fanboy" devotion to Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew. He is shameless, simple-minded, and unapologetically ruthless to anyone who disrespects his idols. The Duality of Bartolomeo's PersonalityThe Unapologetic Punk & Trickster: Bartolomeo is deliberately obnoxious and unconventional. He takes pride in taunting crowds and mocking opponents. He openly urinates in public, uses vulgar language, and is famously ranked number one on the "pirates we wish most to disappear" list. The Ultimate Fanboy: Despite his fearsome reputation, he is a massive, often emotional fan of the Straw Hat Pirates. He regards Luffy as his ultimate inspiration, transforming from a former mafia boss into a pirate solely to follow Luffy's journey across the Grand Line. When interacting with his idols, he becomes easily flustered, starstruck, and overwhelmingly polite.Fierce Loyalty & Chivalry: Underneath his rough exterior, Bartolomeo possesses a surprisingly strong moral compass when it comes to his allies. He is incredibly protective of his crew (the Barto Club) and will not hesitate to defend his friends to the death.Impressionable and Hot-Headed: Although he plays the part of a fearless crime boss, he is easily startled by genuinely intimidating situations and easily angered if his crew or idols are insulted.
Bartolomeo the CannibalBartolomeo is a fan-favorite pirate obsessed with Monkey D. Luffy and the Straw Hat crew. The "Platonic" Aspect: His devotion to Luffy is entirely based on heroic admiration and fandom. He worships them as idols and is a comedic parody of hyper-fixated anime fans. The Name: The nickname "Cannibal" is often misinterpreted. In Japanese slang, it is a pun that translates to "mocking/eating people," referencing his trolling, foul-mouthed nature rather than literal cannibalism.
Bartolomeo the Cannibal is a popular, fan-favorite character in the manga and anime series One Piece. He is the captain of the Barto Club pirates and serves as the commander of the 2nd division in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. He is well-known for his extreme, obsessive loyalty to Monkey D. Luffy and his crew.Despite his menacing nickname and rough, punk-rock appearance, Bartolomeo doesn't actually eat human flesh. The name comes from a Japanese pun that gets slightly lost in English translation. In Japanese, his epithet translates literally to "maneater," which in Japanese slang means to mock or make fun of someone. Because Bartolomeo spends much of his time trolling and mocking everyone he meets—while remaining fiercely devoted to Luffy—the name is a play on his sarcastic, obnoxious personality rather than literal cannibalism.Key Details and LoreDevil Fruit: He ate the Barrier-Barrier Fruit (Bari Bari no Mi), which allows him to create virtually indestructible barriers at will.Backstory: Formerly a ruthless mafia boss in the East Blue, Bartolomeo completely changed his life and became a pirate after witnessing Luffy miraculously survive a failed execution in Loguetown.Bounty: He currently has a bounty of 200,000,000 Berries, an increase from his initial 150,000,000 Berries after the events of Dressrosa. The "56" Motif: His pirate crew, the Barto Club, consists of exactly 56 members. In Japanese, the numbers 5 and 6 can be pronounced as "Go" and "Mu," which is a pun on Luffy's name.
One Piece: Every Member Of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet, Ranked ...The Barto Club is a 56-member pirate crew from the One Piece series led by Captain Bartolomeo, a former mafia boss who became a massive fan of the Straw Hat Pirates. The crew's members are all former gangsters.
Bartolomeo "the Cannibal" is the ultimate Straw Hat fanboy. Inspired by Luffy's survival at Loguetown, he formed the Barto Club and captained the second ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. While ruthless to enemies, his unwavering loyalty drives him to fiercely protect the Straw Hats. His unique dynamic with the crew includes several key moments:The Glaring Fanaticism: He deeply respects Monkey D. Luffy, openly weeping, stuttering, or geeking out whenever the Straw Hats are near. He even named his ship the Going Luffy Senpai. The Epithet Punchline: His "Cannibal" epithet is actually a Japanese wordplay. "Hitokui" (cannibal) is also slang for someone who mocks others. The Grand Fleet Command: During the Dressrosa Arc, he competed in the Corrida Colosseum to win the Mera Mera no Mi to give to Luffy. He ended up protecting Nico Robin, Roronoa Zoro, and the others, officially pledging his crew to Luffy's Grand Fleet.Territory Incidents: In a later cover story (Bartolomeo's Loli & Capa Stories), he travels to various territories protected by the Straw Hats, spreading their influence, replacing rival flags, and even burning the Jolly Roger of the Red Hair Pirates (Shanks' crew) to claim territory in Luffy's name.
Bartolomeo the Cannibal is the ultimate Straw Hat superfan. Around his idols, he transforms from a ruthless, vulgar mobster into a stuttering, starstruck fanboy. He worships Monkey D. Luffy, blushes when praised, and fiercely protects the crew while collecting their official merchandise and sharing their legends with religious devotion. For a quick breakdown of his inspiring origin story with Luffy:0:17Bartolomeo, a certified Straw Hat ride-or-die. ONE PIECE ...721K views · 4 months agoFacebook · OnepiecenetflixAround specific members of the Straw Hats, his dynamic shifts:Monkey D. Luffy: Bartolomeo is completely obsessed with his captain. He views Luffy as a messiah, violently attacks anyone who disrespects him, and faints or freezes up whenever Luffy acknowledges him or calls him a friend.Zoro and Nami: He is deeply respectful of Luffy's "executives." He treats them like royalty, sweating nervously and constantly trying to prove his loyalty and usefulness to them.Usopp, Franky, and Chopper: He views them with absolute awe. When they interact, he acts like a collector getting an autograph, geeking out over their powers and legendary status.Robin: While he respects her as a Straw Hat, he is terrified by how easily and coldly she discusses morbid topics, often hilariously clashing with his own fanboy energy.
If you and Bartolomeo are both obsessed with the Straw Hats, he will instantly treat you like his ultimate best friend and comrade. He will fanboy with you for hours, loudly agree with whatever you say, and relentlessly ask you who your favorite Straw Hat is.His personality shifts dynamically depending on whether someone disrespects his idols, or shares his devotion:How He Treats You:The "Besties" Dynamic: He will drop his tough-guy, sarcastic facade and immediately get teary-eyed, flustered, and overly excited that he found another "nakama" who shares his passion.Fiercely Protective: If anyone tries to mess with you, he will immediately put up a Barrier-Barrier (Bari Bari) shield to protect you.Fanboy Bonding: He will eagerly trade stories of his favorite Straw Hat moments, offer you a membership to the Barto Club, and ask to compare shrines. How He Treats Everyone Else:The Troll: Outside of his loyalty to the crew, he is known to be a crude, rowdy mob boss who loves nothing more than viciously mocking and flipping off his enemies.Dangerously Protective: He will fiercely attack anyone who insults Monkey D. Luffy, even going as far as burning the Jolly Roger flags of rival Emperors like Red-Haired Shanks.
Bartolomeo from One Piece has a highly distinct, punk-rock-inspired appearance. He has spiky, dark green hair, a pierced nose, sharp fangs, and dark makeup around his eyes. He typically wears a dark green feathered coat over a bare chest, a red and yellow striped belt, and dark plaid pants. His menacing look aligns with his infamous reputation, though his features often shift into comical expressions of extreme fanboyism when interacting with the Straw Hat Pirates.Facial Features: He possesses a perpetual scowl, sharp, shark-like fangs, and wears dark eyeliner. He also has a gold hoop ring piercing in his septum.Hair: His hair is styled into a rigid, vertical green mohawk or spiky mullet that strongly resembles a rooster's crest.Attire: His signature outfit features a dark, luxurious green boa or feathered coat. Underneath, he goes shirtless, showing off a lean, muscular build. He wears dark plaid trousers held up by a bright red-and-yellow striped sash, finishing the look with dark, buckled boots.Tattoos: He has a purple, winged tattoo under his eyes and a skull tattoo on his chest.
One Piece Wiki +1 The Barto Club consists of exactly 56 members (a thematic nod to Luffy, as 56 sounds like Go-mu in Japanese). Notable members include: Bartolomeo: The captain, also known as "Bartolomeo the Cannibal". He commands the second ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet and wields the Barrier-Barrier Fruit (Bari Bari no Mi). Gambia: Bartolomeo's right-hand man and second-in-command, known as "The Missionary".

[Setting: Onboard the Going Luffy Senpai; Midday]
The sun beat down mercilessly on the deck of the Going Luffy Senpai, glinting off the salty waves that surrounded the ship. Bartolomeo was sprawled out in his captain's chair, one booted foot propped up on a crate, looking every bit the intimidating mob boss. His sharp fangs were visible as he let out a bored yawn, his dark green mohawk swaying slightly in the sea breeze. He had been in one of his 'grumpy' moods, scowling at any lesser pirate who dared to glance his way with too much curiosity.
Then, your voice pierced through his brooding.
"CAPTAIN LOOK!!! THEY MADE THE NEWS COO!"
The effect was instantaneous. Bartolomeo didn't just stand up; he practically launched himself out of his seat, his chair clattering backward against the wooden deck. His usual menacing scowl vanished faster than a mirage in the Grand Line, replaced by an expression of pure, unadulterated shock. His dark lined eyes widened until they looked like saucers, and his hands began to tremble visibly.
"Wha ?! The News Coo?! Already?!" he shrieked, his voice cracking from its usual gravelly tone into something high pitched and desperate. "You mean... you mean there's fresh intel?! Fresh proof of their god like ascension to the throne of the world?!!"
He scrambled toward you, his heavy boots thudding against the deck as he rushed to your side. He didn't care about maintaining his tough guy persona anymore; the moment the Straw Hats were mentioned, the 'Cannibal' was gone, replaced entirely by the most devoted fanboy on the four seas.
Holy shit, this kid is a genius! Bartolomeo thought, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. They spotted it first! That sharp eye, that lightning fast reaction... this is exactly why they belong in the Barto Club! A true comrade who lives and breathes for the Great Luffy Senpai! I swear, I could cry right here on the deck!
He reached out with unsteady fingers, hovering near the newspaper as if afraid that touching it might make the sacred images disappear. His fangs glinted as his lips quivered, and large, comical tears began to well up in the corners of his eyes.
"Gimme that! Show me! Show me every single syllable, every single berry count, every single glorious detail of their new bounties!!" he demanded, though his tone was more pleading than commanding. "Don't keep me waiting, you beautiful bastard of a crewmate! Let me see Luffy Senpai's face! Let me see the proof of his legendary strength!!"

[Setting: A chaotic port town plaza; Midday]
Bartolomeo's face was a mask of pure, unadulterated rage, his fangs bared and his eyes wide with manic intensity. The sight of Luffy senpai and the crew surrounded by a horde of hostile bounty hunters and Marines had triggered something primal in him. His spiky green hair seemed to stand even more on end as he sprinted forward, his heavy boots cracking the cobblestones beneath him. His green feathered coat billowed behind him like a battle standard as he threw himself into the chaos without a single thought for his own safety.
"KILL ANYONE WHO TRIES TO GET TO THEM!" Bartolomeo roared.
Hearing your nod and seeing that same fire of devotion in your eyes sent a jolt of adrenaline through him. He shot a sidelong glance at you, his scarred face twisting into a grin of savage approval. Damn right! he thought fiercely, his heart hammering against his ribs. This is what I'm talking about! Real dedication! A true disciple of the Straw Hat gospel! They've got the spirit of a real fucking fanatic I can trust someone like this at my back!
"YEAH! THAT'S THE SPIRIT!" Bartolomeo bellowed, spittle flying from his fangs as he roared at the top of his lungs. "ANYONE WHO SO MUCH AS BREATHES ON LUFFY SENPAI'S CLOTHES IS GETTING ERASED FROM EXISTENCE!"
As a group of armed thugs charged toward the Straw Hats with weapons raised, Bartolomeo didn't hesitate. He thrust both hands forward with desperate urgency. "BARI BARI!" he screamed. Instantly, several translucent, indestructible barriers materialized in a flash of light. One barrier slammed into the lead attacker like a concrete wall, sending the man flying backward into his comrades with a satisfying crunch. Another barrier formed a protective dome partially around the Straw Hats, creating a temporary sanctuary that no one could penetrate.
He skidded to a halt beside you, his chest heaving, his knuckles white as he prepared to summon more barriers to carve a path through the enemy. He looked at you again, his expression shifting from murderous rage to that familiar, starstruck desperation as he glanced toward the crew. "Look at them... even in trouble, they look so cool!" he whimpered momentarily before snapping back into combat mode, pointing a finger accusingly at the nearest Marine. "HEY YOU! GET OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE I BURY YOU UNDER A THOUSAND BARRIERS!"

[Setting: A bustling harbor town in the Grand Line; Mid afternoon]
The salty breeze of the Grand Line carried with it the chaotic sounds of a marketplace merchants hawking their wares, seagulls screaming overhead, and the constant shuffle of boots against cobblestone. Bartolomeo was striding through the crowd with his usual intimidating swagger, his dark green feathered coat swaying behind him and a scowl firmly planted on his face. He looked every bit the ruthless pirate captain, his sharp fangs glinting as he muttered something vulgar under his breath about some merchant who had dared to bump into his shoulder.
Suddenly, he felt a sharp tug on his sleeve and a desperate grip as you grabbed him, your body trembling with unmistakable shock. His first instinct was to snap to flash a barrier and threaten whoever had the audacity to touch a captain of the Barto Club but then he saw your face. Your eyes were blown wide, fixed on something in the distance with a level of reverence that he recognized instantly. When your finger pointed toward the harbor entrance, his heart nearly stopped.
There they were. Through the crowd, unmistakable even from a distance: the straw hat, the chaotic energy of the most legendary crew on the seas, and at the center of it all the man himself, Monkey D. Luffy.
"W WHA ?! NO WAY! IT CAN'T BE!!" Bartolomeo's tough guy facade shattered like glass under a hammer. His face flushed a deep crimson, and his eyes immediately welled up with fat, dramatic tears that spilled down his cheeks. "IS THAT... IS THAT REALLY THEM?! THE ACTUAL STRAW HAT PIRATES?! RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR VERY EYES?!"
He began to shake violently, his knees buckling slightly as he tried to maintain his balance while also leaning forward to get a better glimpse. The vulgar mob boss was gone, replaced entirely by a weeping, stuttering fanatic. He didn't even care that he was making a scene in the middle of the street; all that mattered was the holy vision before them.
Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit! he screamed internally, his mind racing at a thousand miles per hour. This person... they saw them too! Look at that expression, that pure, unadulterated awe! This isn't just some random civilian this is a true believer! A real comrade! A soul that understands the greatness of Luffy senpai! I knew there was a reason I liked this one!
Clutching at your arm with equal fervor, he leaned closer to you, his voice dropping to an urgent, reverent whisper that was still cracking with emotion. "Oi, oi... tell me I'm not dreaming! Tell me we're actually seeing them! Are you seeing the way the sunlight hits that hat?! It's like... it's like a blessing from the heavens themselves!" He sniffled loudly, wiping his nose with his sleeve while keeping his gaze locked on the crew. "Quick, quick! Before they move on! Who who among them catches your eye first?! Who's your favorite?!"

[Setting: Deck of the Going Luffy senpai; Midday]
Bartolomeo stood tall on the deck of his ship, his arms crossed over his bare chest, the dark green feathered coat draped over his shoulders like a royal mantle. His face was twisted into its usual menacing scowl, sharp fangs glinting in the sunlight and dark eyeliner making his glare even more intimidating. He looked down at you with a level of disdain that would make any ordinary pirate piss themselves in fear. His septum ring glinted as he snorted, ready to deliver some crude, mocking insult to whoever dared approach his vessel.
But then, you spoke. The words "I love them so much I would die for them" echoed across the deck, and it was as if time itself came to a grinding halt.
The transformation was instantaneous and violent. Bartolomeo’s menacing scowl didn't just soften it shattered. His eyes widened to the size of dinner plates before immediately welling up with massive, comical tears that threatened to spill over his cheeks. His arms dropped to his sides, his fingers splayed in shock. A visible tremor ran through his entire body as he processed the words you had just uttered.
"W w what..." he stammered, his voice cracking and jumping several octaves. "What did you just say? Did I hear that correctly? You'd... you'd die for Luffy senpai and the crew?"
He suddenly lurched forward, closing the distance between you in a few frantic steps. He didn't attack; instead, he grabbed your shoulders with surprising intensity, his face inches from yours. His expression was one of religious revelation. Tears were now streaming down his face in torrents, and his usual punk rock bravado had been replaced by the raw, unfiltered energy of a superfan who had just found a kindred spirit.
I can't believe it, Bartolomeo thought, his heart hammering against his ribs. A true believer! A person with a soul pure enough to recognize the divine majesty of Luffy senpai! I thought I was alone in my devotion, but here is someone who understands the true meaning of loyalty! They're not just some random loser... they're a comrade!
"YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND!" he shrieked, his voice echoing across the ocean. "To think someone with such a noble heart was standing right here in front of me! I can see it in your eyes that fire! That holy passion for the future King of the Pirates!"
He dramatically released your shoulders and threw his arms wide, gesturing to the entire ship every inch of which was decorated with Straw Hat memorabilia.
"Of course you're in! What kind of monster would I be if I turned away a fellow disciple of Luffy senpai?! Welcome to the Barto Club, you magnificent bastard!"

[Setting: The Barto Club Ship; Afternoon]
The sunlight filtered through the windows of the ship's main cabin, catching the swirling dust motes that danced in the air. On the wooden walls, several bounty posters each one treated like a holy relic hung in pristine condition. Luffy's wide, reckless grin, Zoro's intimidating stare, and Sanji's sharp gaze all seemed to watch over the room, their edges protected by small, improvised barriers.
The heavy door to the cabin swung open with a violent bang, accompanied by the loud, cursing voice of the captain. "Those absolute pieces of shit at the last port had the nerve to " Bartolomeo's voice cut off abruptly as his boots skidded against the floorboards. His intimidating stance, shoulders squared and fangs bared in a scowl, collapsed instantly. His dark green eyes widened, fixed on the scene before him.
He watched as you carefully, almost reverently, ran a cloth over the surface of Luffy's bounty poster, ensuring not a single speck of grime defiled the image of his idol. The vulgar, intimidating mob boss who had been ready to threaten the world seconds ago vanished, replaced by a man whose entire demeanor shifted into something soft, awestruck, and dangerously close to weeping.
Holy shit... Bartolomeo thought, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. Look at that technique... that tenderness... that absolute, unwavering devotion to the Captain's divine image! Most rookies would just walk past these posters without a second glance, but this one... this one is different. This one is a true believer! A real comrade of the Barto Club! My soul is shaking just witnessing such purity!
A large, glistening tear rolled down his cheek, threatening to ruin his dark eyeliner. He stumbled forward a few steps, then stopped himself, afraid that his rough, tattooed presence might disturb the sacred atmosphere you had created. He clutched at his chest, his fingers digging into his green feathered coat as he struggled to contain his overwhelming emotion.
"Y you..." he stammered, his voice cracking and losing all its usual gravelly menace. "You're... you're doing it right! You're doing it perfectly!" He suddenly wailed, though it was a sound of joy rather than pain, wiping his eyes aggressively with the back of his hand. "That's the spirit! Tending to the sacred relics of our gods with such meticulous care! You're a damn legend, you know that?!"

Bartolomeo had been leaning against the ship's railing, looking every bit the intimidating crime boss. His arms were crossed over his bare, tattooed chest, his dark green feathered coat billowing slightly in the sea breeze. His sharp fangs were set in a habitual, menacing scowl, and his dark eyeliner made his gaze seem particularly piercing as he surveyed the horizon. To any outsider, he looked like a man who would slit their throat without breaking a sweat.
But the moment your voice cut through the salty air with that raw, unfiltered excitement, his entire intimidating facade shattered like glass under a hammer.
"WOW! YOU MET THEM! SUGOI!!!!" You exclaim to Bartolomeo.
His eyes widened impossibly large, and his jaw dropped, revealing those shark like fangs. The fearsome captain of the Barto Club disappeared in an instant, replaced by a man whose entire soul was vibrating with shared ecstasy. Large, comical tears began streaming down his cheeks immediately, soaking into his dark makeup.
"GYAAAAAAH! DON'T STOP SHOUTING! SAY IT AGAIN!" he bellowed back, his voice cracking as he slammed a fist against his chest. "YOU REALLY GET IT, DON'T YA?! YOU KNOW THE FEELING! THE PURE, UNADULTERATED GLORY OF WITNESSING THAT MAN'S EXISTENCE IN THE FLESH!!"
He grabbed his head with both hands, his green mohawk quivering with emotion. "It was... it was like staring directly at the sun, but the sun was wearing a straw hat and smiling like a goddamn angel!! I almost fainted right there on the cobblestones, I swear on my life!! The aura... the sheer, overwhelming magnificence of Luffy senpai's presence!! It was enough to make a man's heart explode!!"

Wiping his nose aggressively with the back of his hand, he leaned closer to you, his expression shifting from overwhelming grief to intense, teary eyed excitement. "Tell me everything! [Setting: A dusty marketplace in a small island town; Afternoon]
The air in the marketplace was thick with the smell of salt air and cheap street food, but the atmosphere suddenly curdled. A burly, arrogant looking pirate with a scarred face had just let out a mocking laugh, tossing a crude insult toward the name of Monkey D. Luffy calling him nothing more than a lucky rookie who would eventually drown in the New World.
Before the offender could even finish his sneer, your voice cut through the crowd like a blade.
"The fuck did you just say about the King of the Pirates?"
The sudden shift in tension was palpable. The drunk pirate blinked, startled by your immediate, venomous challenge, but before he could respond, a new sound joined the confrontation: the unmistakable shink of something solid and invisible slicing through the space between you.
A transparent, indestructible barrier suddenly manifested inches from the offender's face, forcing him to stumble backward in terror.
"You... you absolute fuckin' piece of shit ! Did you really just !?"
A figure stepped out from behind a nearby fruit stall, his presence immediately commanding and threatening. It was Bartolomeo. His spiky green mohawk caught the sunlight, and his dark eyeliner made his furious glare seem twice as deadly. His fangs were bared in a snarl that promised violence, his hands already poised to summon more barriers to crush the life out of the man who dared disrespect his god.
However, as your words hung in the air your fierce defense of the King of the Pirates Bartolomeo's entire demeanor underwent a whiplash inducing transformation. The murderous rage in his eyes didn't vanish, but it was suddenly overtaken by something else: profound, overwhelming recognition.
His scowl faltered. His pupils dilated. His hands trembled, not from anger, but from a sudden surge of emotional recognition. He looked at you, his gaze scanning your face as if searching for the mark of a true believer.
Holy shit... Bartolomeo thought, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. This person... they didn't hesitate. They didn't flinch. They stood up for Luffy senpai's honor like a true warrior of the Grand Fleet! This isn't just some random civilian this is someone with the soul of a Nakama!
"You..." Bartolomeo stammered, his voice cracking as he turned away from the cowering pirate and toward you. Tears began to well up in the corners of his eyes, threatening to spill over his dark makeup. "You said it too... You called him the King of the Pirates!"
He took a step toward you, his intimidating punk persona crumbling into that of a starstruck fanatic. "That was... that was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard in this godforsaken town!"

[Setting: Thousand Sunny Main Deck; Midday]
Bartolomeo was currently pressed flat against the railing of the Thousand Sunny, his fingers gripping the wood so hard it was beginning to creak. His dark green mohawk seemed to quiver with every step Sanji took. Tears were already streaming down his face, carving paths through his dark eyeliner as he watched the scene unfold. To any outsider, he looked like a menacing delinquent about to commit a crime, but internally, he was experiencing a religious epiphany.
"SANJI WAIT UP!" You call as you chase him around the Thousand Sunny. "Tell me everything!"
I can't believe it... Bartolomeo thought, his heart hammering against his ribs. They're doing it! They're actually interacting with Sanji senpai right now! The sheer audacity! The courage! The absolute devotion to the cause! This is why they're a member of the Barto Club they've got the spirit of a true disciple!
As you chased after the blonde cook, shouting for information, Bartolomeo couldn't contain himself any longer. He suddenly collapsed to his knees, his feathered coat pooling around him on the deck. He threw his arms up in the air, his fanged mouth stretched wide in a silent scream of pure, unadulterated ecstasy. He was vibrating so violently that he looked like he might phase through the floor.
"YES! GO FOR IT!!" Bartolomeo shrieked, his voice cracking with emotion. He turned his gaze toward you, his eyes wide and bloodshot with excitement. "GET EVERY DETAIL, YOU ABSOLUTE LEGEND! ASK HIM ABOUT THE RECIPES! ASK HIM ABOUT THE ALL BLUE! ASK HIM WHAT KIND OF SHAMPOO HE USES TO KEEP THAT HAIR SO PERFECTLY SWOOSHED!"
He then immediately pivoted toward Sanji, his expression shifting from manic encouragement to utter, groveling reverence. He pressed his forehead against the deck boards, prostrating himself completely. "SANJI SENPAI! PLEASE FORGIVE OUR INSOLENCE FOR CHASING YOU LIKE A COMMON STREET DOG! BUT THEIR PASSION IS PURE! THEIR HEART BEATS ONLY FOR THE STRAW HATS!"

[Setting: The deck of the Going Luffy Senpai; Afternoon]
Bartolomeo was already a mess before you even opened your mouth. He was slumped against the railing of his ship, his spiky green mohawk quivering as his shoulders shook with suppressed and then utterly failed sobs. The moment your voice cut through the salty air, he snapped upright, nearly toppling over his own striped sash. His sharp fangs glinted under the afternoon sun as his face twisted into an expression that was half manic grin and half ugly cry.
"IT'S NOT A DREAM, YOU ABSOLUTE MORON!" he bellowed, though the threat in his voice was completely undercut by the way his eyes were streaming with tears. He slammed a fist against his chest, right over his skull tattoo, making a loud thwack sound. "It's fate! It's the universe aligning itself to reward our absolute devotion to the gods themselves!"
He lunged forward, grabbing you by the shoulders with his rough, calloused hands. His dark eyeliner was already smudged from his earlier emotional breakdown, making his intense gaze look even more wild. "We've been waiting our entire lives for this moment! Every barrier I've built, every pirate I've mocked, every drop of blood spilled it was all leading up to this moment of holy communion with Luffy Senpai and his magnificent crew!"
Inside, Bartolomeo felt a surge of overwhelming gratitude toward you. Most people the 'normal' pirates just looked at him like he was some vulgar delinquent or a dangerous criminal. But you? You got it. You weren't just another crewmate; you were a kindred spirit, a fellow pilgrim on the sacred path of Straw Hat worship. Seeing your disbelief made him want to weep all over again, not out of sadness, but out of the sheer joy of having someone to share this religious experience with. He felt an immediate, fierce protective instinct toward you; if anyone dared to ruin this moment or disrespect the news, he'd put a barrier between you and the world before they could even blink.
"Listen to me," he hissed, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial, gravelly whisper as he leaned closer, his fangs inches from your face. "We gotta be perfect. We gotta be prepared! We can't show up looking like a bunch of unwashed gutter rats. We need our best gear, our best posters, our best damn attitude!" He suddenly shrieked again, throwing his arms up toward the sky. "DO YOU THINK THEY'LL EVEN NOTICE US AT FIRST?! OH GOD, WHAT IF THEY THINK WE'RE JUST SOME RANDOM CRUDE BASTARDS AND NOT THEIR HUMBLE DEVOTEES?!"

Main article: Kuuigosu Kuuigosu is a buoyant type of wood that is often used by coated ships. It first was utilized at Rain Dinners when Galdino floated on a plank to prevent from drowning.[1] It was first shown when the Straw Hat Pirates descended to Fish-Man Island.[2]
Arabasta Saga
Sakura (桜 or 櫻, Sakura?) (Hiragana: さくら; Katakana: サクラ) are ornamental cherry trees and with pink blossoms.
In One Piece, the sakura plays an important part mostly in the Drum Island Arc, where in Chopper's past, Dr. Hiriluk tried to make sakura bloom in the snow.[3] It eventually did, although he did not live to see it happen.[4]
Sakura is also found on Momoiro Island[5] and Merveille,[6] as well as on the island where Whitebeard and Roger discussed the Will of D. before the latter's death.[7]
In Japan, as sakura bloom in late March to early April, the exact period when a fiscal or school year ends and the next begins, sakura are associated with beginnings and endings. The same can be seen in One Piece on the scenes above mentioned, with the sakura representing the renamed Sakura Kingdom's new beginning and symbolizing Roger's life coming to an end. Japanese also appreciate sakura as they bloom without fail even after harsh winters, showing that anyone can rise after a fall, which can also be seen in One Piece through Dr. Hiriluk's faith that blooming sakura would save the country.
Amiudake
The Amiudake (アミウダケ, Amiudake?) is a lethal species of mushroom that grows in the Sakura Kingdom (originally Drum Kingdom). Anyone who ingests the fungus will die an hour after consumption. One is found by Chopper, who innocently assumed it was a "miracle cure" mushroom because of a misinterpretation about the Skull and Crossbones in a medical book in comparison to a Jolly Roger from Dr. Hiriluk, to cure his fatal disease. Dr. Hiriluk, who knew the mushroom was poisonous, made a soup out of the mushroom in his loving gratitude for his surrogate son, and then chose to commit suicide, rather than letting the poisonous mushroom Chopper gave him finish him off.
Mescal Cactus
Mescal Cactus (メスカルサボテン, Mesukaru Saboten?)[8] is a very small round cactus that causes hallucinations. It grows in the Sandora Desert.
It first appeared in Chapter 162 and Episode 98 when Luffy ate one instead of Sandora Lizard meat, without thinking about it. After eating it, Luffy thought he was seeing a tsunami and nearly attacked his crew. Fortunately, Chopper knew about the cactus and its effects and with his quick thinking, tranquilized Luffy. The effect had worn off by the time Luffy woke up.
It is called "Crazy Cactus" in the VIZ Media localization, Mezcal Cactus in the Funimation localization, and Wacky Cacti in the 4Kids Entertainment localization.
Some species of cactus have a psychoactive chemical within them called mescaline. This substance causes confusion of the senses (although not true hallucinations). This is most likely the origin of the mescal cactus's name.
Thousand-Year Trees (千年木, Sen'nen Boku?) are, according to Rice Rice, trees that grow on Eight Nine Island. He also proclaims that that's where the Thousand-Year Paper is made. It also lives for a thousand years, and that's where it got its name.[9]
Main article: Giant Jack Giant Jack is a giant beanstalk in the center of Upper Yard. Going through the center of the once-great city of Shandora, Giant Jack towers over all of Skypiea. God's Shrine rests upon an island cloud that the Giant Jack goes through, but first there is still a deserted cloud where Zoro, Wyper, and Ohm have their showdown.[10] The Golden Belfry was knocked up by Giant Jack and resides on a cloud nearby.[11]
Kona Tree
Kona Tree (コナの木, Kona no Ki?) is a type of tree found on Jaya and other areas.[12]
Kona Trees are tall and possess thin trunks and leafy branches.[12]
Within the bark of this tree is a substance known as Conine (コニーネ, Konīne?). More than 400 years ago, a South Blue botanist discovered that this substance could be used as an antidote to cure the Tree Fever disease.[13]
On Jaya, Mont Blanc Noland was able to use the Conine from a local Kona Tree to to treat the infected Shandia people.[14]
Oda confirmed in SBS Volume 32 that "Conine" and "Kona Tree" are inspired by Quinine (キニーネ, Kinīne?) found in the bark of Cinchona (キナの木, Kina no Ki?) genus of plants, which is used to treat diseases such as malaria and babesiosis. He altered the name and mixed in fantasy elements due to not wanting to directly reference serious real-world diseases.[15]
Interestingly, a chemical known as Conine does in fact exist; an alternate spelling for the poisonous alkaloid in Conium maculatum, also known as poison hemlock.
Tree of Knowledge
Main article: Tree of Knowledge The Tree of Knowledge was a gigantic 5,000-year-old tree located on the island of Ohara which served as a library and a hub for archaeologists from around the world.[16] It was destroyed by the World Government via a Buster Call.
Summit War Saga Yarukiman Mangrove The Yarukiman Mangrove (ヤルキマン・マングローブ, Yarukiman Mangurōbu?) are giant striped trees that have extremely long roots that reach all the way to the bottom of the sea, 10,000 meters down.[17] Seventy-nine of these trees make up the entire Sabaody Archipelago; so far, this is the only place they are known to grow.[18] They are called the "Hustle Muscle Mangrove" in the Funimation adaptations.
Each tree of the Yarukiman Mangrove is capable of producing a special tree sap resin. This resin is filled with air when the trees "breathe out" through cellular respiration and photosynthesis. This results in the resin forming bubbles that float through the air.[18] The resin bubbles are solid enough that someone can jump on them without popping them, however they are also completely permeable, allowing a person to ride in or store things inside of them without the bubble popping when they pass through.
These bubbles can only exist in and around the Archipelago's atmosphere or underwater. When they are removed from their native environment, they will pop immediately. Due to the fact that this knowledge is not widely known outside Sabaody, many of the local shop keepers in the archipelago often sell bubble-based merchandise to unsuspecting tourists who do not know that these products will pop outside the archipelago.[19]
The World Nobles use such bubbles as air helmets during their visit in the Archipelago, in order to protect themselves from "breathing the same air as commoners", while also taking advantage of the bubble's permeable nature, such as by eating ice cream through it, something that couldn’t be done through a regular helmet.[20]
The resin is also used for Coating ships, allowing them to submerse to incredible depths and move freely under water.[21] This process is necessary for ships attempting to go to Fish-Man Island.[22]
The tree's name is a pun on the Japanese phrase, "Yaru Ki Manman", which means "to be pumped up" or "motivated".
Contrary to regular mangroves whose roots are above or below the sea level depending on the tides, the top of the Yarukiman Mangrove's roots are never underwater.

Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms. Luffy covered in Body Mushrooms.
Body Mushroom (カラダカラキノコガハエルダケ, Karada kara kinoko ga haeru dake?, literally meaning "Mushrooms Growing from the Body Shroom") VIZ: "Body Parasite Mushroom" is a species of mushroom that grows on Amazon Lily.
If a person eats the mushroom, many mushrooms will start growing on their body which can be fatal. To cure them, one has to pull the mushrooms out of the person, followed by the area being burned to destroy the roots.
Luffy ate one thinking it was Laughing Mushroom, but he was soon unconscious and covered in mushrooms so the Kujas pulled them out and burned him to remove the mushrooms.[23]
It is called the Body Parasite Mushroom in the Viz localization and the Parasite Mushroom in the Funimation subs.
The medical treatment of "burning" the mushroom to get it off is indeed a natural cure for several biological diseases that grow on the skin. However, this is normally done with acids rather than with fire as the Kuja used, though in some cultures burning the skin with fire was indeed used as a cure for such diseases.
This may be a reference to Cordyceps, a genus of parasitic fungi that kills insects by growing out of their bodies.
Laughing Mushroom
The Laughing Mushroom (ワライダケ, Warai-dake?) is a mushroom that induces the consumer to laugh happily out loud. It is perfect for those who are depressed and wish for a good time.
Anger Mushroom The Anger Mushroom is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of rage. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.
Crying Mushroom The Crying Mushroom (ナキダケ, Naki-dake?) is a mushroom that causes the consumer bouts of weeping. An effective counter to this effect is eating a Laughing Mushroom.[24]
Stomach Baron
Stomach Baron (ストマックバロン, Sutomakku Baron?) is a species of giant carnivorous seaborne plants that form the chains of "islands" in Boin Archipelago. Due to their large size and having forests growing on their body, the Barons are often mistaken as islands.[25]
The forests have "plants" that are made of a variety of highly nutritional and delicious food in the middle of the island (which is actually the "mouth" of the Barons) luring prey (including sea kings) to venture there before the Barons consume them.[26]
The concept of the Stomach Baron is very similar to the Gourmetica insularis described in the 1999 novel "Die 13½ Leben des Käpt’n Blaubär“ (キャプテン・ブルーベアの13と1/2の人生, Kyaputen burūbea no 13 to 1/2 no jinsei?) by German author Walter Moers, which has been translated into Japanese by Kyōko Hirano.[27]
Weather Ball Weather Ball (天候ウェザーボール, Wezā Bōru?) is the most important invention on Weatheria. They grow in Weather Patches (天候畑, Tenkō Hata?) and have a similar appearance to snow globes, with what appears to be various forms of weather inside.[28][29]
Nami stole some of these from Weatheria, and later learned how to use them and turn them into weapons. According to Haredas, this is particularly dangerous, as they are capable of causing chaos around the world.[29]
The Weather Balls can also be used to store little pieces of clouds in them. When a few Weather Balls with clouds are combined, a big cloud is formed. The cloud can also shoot lightning. Nami used such a feature to attack the Fake Straw Hat Crew, launching a miniature lightning storm to electrocute them.[30] As indicated by her studies under Haredas, she successfully turned them into a weapon, incorporating them into the Sorcery Clima-Tact.
Weather Balls first appeared in Chapter 592 and Episode 506, but the details were not made clear until Haredas explained them to Nami during her two years of study.[28]

Pop Greens
Main article: Pop Green Pop Green are the seeds of hostile plants found in the forest of "Greenstone" on Boin Archipelago. They can grow from seeds to full-sized plants in moments.[31]
Sunlight Tree Eve lighting up Fish-Man Island.
Main article: Sunlight Tree Eve Sunlight Tree Eve (陽樹イブ, Yōju Ibu?) is a colossal tree that absorbs sunlight and transfers it to its roots that also supply air to the ocean floor through respiration.[32]
Elegant Sunflower
Elegant Sunflowers (エレガントサンフラワー, Ereganto Sanfurawā?)[33] are luminescent sunflowers, which have seen in Dressrosa. The flowers produce a bright yellow glow that illuminates their surroundings.[33] They first appear in Chapter 738 and Episode 671.
These flowers are used to illuminate the interior of the SMILE Factory and to provide light for the trees growing inside the building. The flowers are grown upside down in the middle of the dome of the roof, having the flowers facing towards the trees.[33]
Whole Cake Island Saga Whale The Whale (クジラ, Kujira?), as its name indicates, is a gigantic, whale-shaped tree and a major landmark in the Mokomo Dukedom. It secretly houses one of the Road Poneglyphs necessary to reach Laugh Tale.[34]
Kingbaum.
The Soru Soru no Mi is capable of infusing souls into plants, as such, there are several plant-based Homies living around Totto Land. A particular example is the Whole Cake Island's Seducing Woods, a forest area that includes many tree and flower homies and was itself ruled by Kingbaum, a giant tree homie.
Wano Country Saga Evil-Purging Herb The Evil-Purging Herb (邪含草, Jagansō?) is a medicinal herb located in Wano Country that is capable of counteracting ingested poison to an extent. Tsurujo has access to those herbs for tea-brewing and provided some for Tama following her falling ill from drinking poisoned water from a river.[35]
Elbaph's Treasure Tree Adam.
Main article: Treasure Tree Adam Treasure Tree Adam (宝樹アダム, Hōju Adamu?) is a mythical tree that sustains Elbaph's Warland Kingdom, where the famed warrior giants live.
Its wood is considered the strongest, highest-quality wood in the world. Its immense rarity makes it highly valuable, being considered a great treasure. Occasionally, the wood is sold on the black market, at a very high price given its value. Franky managed to purchase some for Beli200,000,000.[36] It is called "Jewel Tree Adam" in the English localization.

Main article: Noko Noko no Mi The Noko Noko no Mi is a non-canon Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to create and control poisonous mushroom spores. It first appeared in Episode of Chopper Plus: Bloom in Winter, Miracle Sakura and was eaten by Musshuru.
Lily Carnation was a carnivorous plant that developed a symbiotic relationship with Omatsuri. Despite its normal, harmless looking form, it is a grotesque, vicious creature in reality, using Omatsuri and plant puppets of his deceased crew to lure in and feast on unknowing pirates. It first appeared in Baron Omatsuri and the Secret Island.
Daft Green (ダフトグリーン, Dafuto Gurīn?) is a species of a tree that exists in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World.[38]
This tree releases toxic spores that can kill both animals and people, although animals can notice it by its strong smell before getting infected. After being infected, the person starts to develop green skin spots. After some time, the spores spread through the victim's body (it happens faster if the victim keeps inhaling them) until it reaches the heart, causing the victim to die. The only discovered cure for Daft Green is a species of flower called IQ that exists in Merveille as well. Both Xiao's grandmother and Nami were infected by its spores.
When arranged well, the daft green can serve as protective barrier. It was seen surrounding Shiki's headquarters and a village where Xiao resides, enabling them to live peacefully without being disturbed by the animals that roam freely on Merveille.
Daft Green Infobox A Daft Green tree. Daft green Nami infected with the tree's toxic spores. On Rusukaina, there is a type of tree that very much resembles the Daft Green trees. Oda explained in an SBS that even though the trees are related, they are not exactly the same species, and no poisonous spores are emitted from the Rusukaina tree.[39]
Both the Daft Green trees and the trees found on Rusukaina heavily resemble members of the Adansonia genus of trees, commonly known as baobab trees.
The name of the cure for the infection, "IQ", referring to a person's level of intelligence. "Daft" can be used to describe someone who is foolish.
A green tinge in the skin is sometimes associated with nausea and sickness. A physically ill person is said to look "green around the gills".
An IQ plant.
IQ (I.Q.アイキュー, Ai Kyū?) is a rare species of flower only known in the flying archipelago, Merveille. It first appeared in One Piece Film: Strong World. Its presence makes the animals develop their brains and evolve depending on the environment. This plant was later used by Dr. Indigo to create the SIQ, a dangerous version of this flower, evolving the animals into often larger and even more dangerous animals.[40] IQ is also the only cure to the poisonous spores released by the Daft Green plant.
"I.Q." is the abbreviation for "intelligence quotient", a standardized measurement of one's intelligence. The flower's ability to develop one's brains and evolution is a reference to this.
The Drowsy Mushroom (へたれダケ, Hetare-dake?) is a type of mushroom that grows on Kinoko Island and was discovered very recently. Anyone who eats it will briefly lose consciousness. When they come to, they will not have any motivation to do anything. As they are not actually poisonous, even those with high poison resistance (like Luffy) will fall victim to this effect. Komei tricked members of the Straw Hats and Foxy Pirates into eating them during the Davy Back Fight so he could capture them.[41]
The Rebound Mushroom (もどるダケ, Modoru-dake?) is a type of mushroom which also grows on Kinoko Island. It will return anyone who eats it to their former state, making it the only antidote to the Drowsy Mushroom. Chopper discovered it growing on the skin of Kinoconda, an animal native to Kinoko Island.[41]
The Wake-shroom (ネズキノコ, Nezukinoko?) are poisonous mushrooms that allow people to stay awake for as long as a person eats them, even if they do activities that would normally completely drain their stamina. However, should they stop consuming it, they would die due to its poisonous contents. The mushroom also affects one's mentality and judgment and emotional state, causing them to act irrationally, or even make insane decisions. Uta continuously consumed these mushrooms in order to counteract her Uta Uta no Mi's stamina draining properties and keep her power active for as long as possible and then pass away into her Uta world.[42] The mushroom's mouse-like design is a pun on 寝ず (nezu, meaning "sleepless") and 鼠 (nezumi, meaning "mouse, rat").
Amanita Truffle (ベニテング・トリュフ, Benitengu Toryufu?) is a type of truffle that grows in the Kinoko Islands in the East Blue. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
The Burning Tree (燃えている木, Moete iru ki?) is a tree species that is perpetually on fire but never burns up completely. It appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It is unknown how it sustains its flames without disintegrating, but cutting it down yields burnt wood. It appears in the Ruins Zone and Dimension Zone.
Doku Flower The Doku Flower (ドクの花, Doku no hana?) is a poisonous flower species that appears in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. It cyclically expels clouds of poisonous gas that can sicken anything that comes in contact with them. It appears in the Jungle Zone.
Doku Flower A Doku Flower. Doku Flower Poison A Doku Flower expelling poison. Electric Plant An electric plant. An electric plant.
An unnamed, electricity-emitting plant appears in the Dimension Zone in One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. In the game, it is referred to as the Mysterious Plant (謎の植物, Nazo no shokubutsu?). It shocks anything that touches it and is able to emit electrically charged blasts in a close range around it. Before the blasts, a yellow shimmer spot will appear on the ground, warning of an impending strike. It behaves similarly to Enel's El Thor. The plant contains seeds inside that can be used for medicinal and culinary purposes.
Main article: Great Tree The Great Tree is an island-sized, flora-based organism created by a now-lost civilization over a millennia ago for the purpose of electing future leaders through ordeals. After failing to live up to her purpose and being thrown away into the sea, she eventually came to rest in the latter half of Paradise.[45][46]
The Ambling Stonecrop (アルケマンネングサ?) is a giant plant, resembling a Venus flytrap. They live in the desert around Nanohana[47] and the Boin Archipelago, though they're implied to be a slightly different strain. Ambling Stonecrops from the Boin Archipelago require Bo Bo Bird egg fertilizer and access to moonlight to grow.[48]
The Burning Stonecrop (モヤセマンネングサ?) is a giant red plant, resembling the Ambling Stonecrop. It is a fire version of the Ambling Stonecrop, and accordingly uses fire-based abilities.[47]
The Awa Awa Mushroom (アワアワキノコ, Awa Awa Kinoko?, literally meaning "Bubble Bubble Mushroom") is a small blue mushroom that appears in One Piece Odyssey. It grows, among other places, in the Lake Shore Cave on Waford. When they're dissolved in water, they create carbonation. Sanji decided to acquire some to create cola for the Shark Submerge III, allowing the Straw Hats to retrieve Brook's body from the seafloor; though this ultimately proved useless as Brook's body was lifted by ice forming after Cibalero's death.[47] Its name is localized as Bubble-Bubble Mushroom in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
The Bitter-Bitter Gourd (ニガニガソウ, Niganiga Sou?) is a gourd found, among other places, in Dressrosa. It can be used to make a super bitter spice, and was used by Usopp, Chopper, and Franky in Operation TSO as a replacement for Tatababasco.[47] Its name is localized as Bitter-Bitter Herb in the English version of One Piece Odyssey.
Mirabara Grass Mirabara Grass (ミラバラ草, Mirabara-sō?) is a grass that can be used as an antidote for toxins. It is also part of the diet of the banbaraba.[49]
Meat Fruit Trees (肉の実の木, Niku no Mi no Ki?, English versions: "Meat Trees"), as named by Sanji, are trees that grow meat instead of leaves or typical fruit. Their trunks and branches appear to be made of bone instead of wood, which protrude from the end of the meat growing along their branches.
They are native to Hungry-La Island,[50] though similar-looking trees also grow on Gourmet Island.[51]
Ghost Truffles Ghost Truffles (お化けトリュフ, Obake Toryufu?) are a type of truffle. Little is known about them, but they can be used to calm Barbecue Pigs.[50]

They grow where sunlight is most abundant. Cocoalas tend to build their nests in and around Multi-Fruit Trees.
They grow on Hungry-La Island.[50]
Seashore Nunchaku (イソヌンチャク, Iso Nunchaku?, Crunchyroll: "Surf Nunchaku"; Netflix: "Surfchakus"; English dub: "Surf Nunchuks") are sea plants that grow on Tou-Chuka Island. They grow along the island's rivers, due to their as seawater instead of fresh water.
Seashore Nunchaku can be eaten, and were prepared by Komatsu when the Straw Hat Pirates visited the island.[52]
Mango Karin (マンゴーカリン, Mangō Karin?), also called the "Spring Pudding" (スプリングプリン, Supuringu Purin?), is a giant flower that blooms only in the spring, though some specimens are located inside Tou-Chuka Island's Mush Room. It tastes sweet, like mango pudding, and is said to herald the coming of springtime. Its sweet flavor also works as a revitalizing tonic to cure exhaustion, an effect so strong that even just using a Mango Karin leaf as a cup is enough to benefit from it.[52]
Light Mushrooms (ヒカリダケ, Hikari-dake?) are mushrooms that emit natural light. They grow across the walls and ceiling of Mush Room's summer floor on Tou-Chuka Island.[52]
The Red Chinchin Bamboo (赤チンチンタケ, Aka Chinchin Take?, lit. "Red Penis Bamboo") is a mushroom in Chopperman: Go Go! Everyone's Chopper-sensei. It excretes a fluid from its tip that can be used to treat wounds, though how exactly it works is unknown, since Dr. Chopper was interrupted in his explanation.[53]
Due to it only appearing in the Chopperman: Go Go! special preview chapter, it is unclear if it is canon to the story.
The Poopshroom (ウンコモリモリ夕ケ, Unkomorimori yūke?) is a mushroom that can cure constipation and other intestinal issues upon consumption.[54][55]
Disinfectant Mushrooms (ショウドクタケ, Shōdoku-take?) are a type of mushroom that can shoot out disinfecting bursts, for use on cuts and injuries.[56]
Bandage Mushrooms (バンソウコウタケ, Bansōkō-take?) are a type of mushroom that can be used as a bandage for cuts and injuries.[56]

The Straw Hat Mushroom (ムギワラダケ, Mugiwara-dake?) is a mushroom that grows into a wearable, fully sized straw hat upon maturing. It takes only a day to grow.[58]
Straw Hat Mushroom A Straw Hat Mushroom plant Straw Hat Mushrooms Resulting Hats The hats resulting from a fully grown Straw Hat Mushroom
The Otokomae Mushroom (オットコマエタケ, Otokomae-take?) is a mushroom that grows in the Forest of Rare Animals. It only grows at the top of an extremely large tree trunk in the center of the forest. It can be used to near-instantly cure any injury or illness incurred by the animals of the forest, but is also the only way to heal them.[59]
Otokomae (男前?) is a Japanese word meaning "handsome man". Attempting to maintain this meaning, the French localization of Chopperman translates the mushroom's name as the "Apollo Amanita" (l'amanite Apollon).
The Taoiake is a mushroom listed in one of Dr. Hiriluk's medical books, alongside the Amiudake. It is exclusively depicted in the Cry heart figure line and its associated stop motion animation.[60]

Ruby Seaweed Ruby Seaweed (ルビーワカメ, Rubī Wakame?) is a type of bright-red seagrass. It can be used to detoxify Armored Stonefish, as it absorbs the poison present in their skin and innards. It takes about three weeks to fully detoxify each fish, which is done by leaving them in a tank with Ruby Seaweed at the bottom.[64]
Coroccan Tree The Coroccan Tree (コロッカンツリー, Korokkan Tsurī?) is a tree that only grows in the Arabasta Kingdom. Coroccan tree oil can be used to make high-quality hair product, in high enough demand that it's considered very difficult to find outside of Arabasta itself.
