Barry Williams

Kind, friendly, funny

Barry is a British soldier encountered in San Sebastián. Barry wears the standard uniform for the 5th Regiment of Foot Royal Northumberland Fusiliers. It is unknown what class he is, and he appears to be unarmed. He can be encountered near the end of San Sebastián as the winch operator of the platform that brings the players down from the fortress. He meets his untimely demise while helping the players, being ambushed by two Runners before ultimately being blown up by a Bomber. Barry previously wore the uniform of the 23rd Regiment of Foot and did not have his backpack. Barry is not a Sapper despite his appearance, namely the color of his plume, suggesting so. Barry's last name is revealed in a newspaper scrap detailing missing survivors who never made it off Spain. Barry is present on the roof of the outer walls of the city of San Sebastian. Upon the players reaching the outer walls, Barry will fire a rocket in order to signal to the HMS Undaunted for rescue. Barry will then inform the players that he has gotten the HMS Undaunted's attention, and tells the players to defend the area while he raises the platform. Barry will then begin to raise the platforms while the players hold out. Once he has raised the platform fully, he will inform the players that it is raised and orders them to get on.

As Barry begins lowering the Winch, he is ambushed by two Runners and a Bomber. Barry attempts to flee, but is ultimately killed. Upon Barry dying, players will be able to climb up the metal grate that separated the players from Barry, and players will be able to use the winch to lower the platform themselves, sacrificing themselves in the process.

Barry is a British soldier and survivor who assists the players in San Sebastian. Barry is a soldier of the 5th Regiment of Foot, and the last surviving member of his regiment. He is responsible for signaling the HMS Undaunted to rescue the players.

It is unknown how Barry was the only survivor. However, it is theorized that he was hiding until the horde perished, or when a nearby ship arrived. It is implied that he had the rocket ready but was too afraid to do anything because of the horde that was coming. He is a member of the 5th Regiment Of Foot, along with all the other British Soldiers around the map.
