Barnaby is the shadowy ghost of a once living owl. His eyes and mouth can move around his face absolutely freely, as can his ears. A true party animal, Barnaby now enjoys causing mischief and hosting swinging wakes for ghostly guests in his Mansion. He was once a magic researcher and scientist, but was involved in a magical experiment that changed him forever, presumably killing him in the process. After this, he is believed to have developed autism, although perhaps he is pretending.

It is unknown why he started to like parties so much. It could be because he has a hard time interacting with other ghosts and parties are a good way to spend time with them, but that is just a theory. It could be that he has always liked parties and his ghost form and the Gem of Reality have increased this interest.

Barnaby holds the Gem of Reality, one of the six Gems which can control many different things. He uses the Gem of Reality to manipulate reality. An example is his chase scene where he creates a cartoonish reality around Billie with guillotines, giant pots and cakes, pools of lava and much more. He also can stretch any part of his body and clone himself, sometimes using his legs as arms. He can create absolutely any objects and even portals.

Barnaby is a rather prodigious, tall and slender anthropomorphic avian apparition with very dark, almost pitch black plumage and a purple glowing outline around his whole body. His eyes have tangerine sclera with golden swirls on them and the interior of his mouth is yellow while his tongue is orange. He has large wings that are the size of his body and his feet are thick with three pointed talons and some fluffy feathers on them, he also has a lengthy tail with a wide ending.

As for his attire, Barnaby sports a lilac bowtie and a white high collared dress shirt underneath a light pink waistcoat with two small chains attached to an apricot gemstone in a shape of an oval which is the Gem of Reality on the center.

Barnaby is eccentric and nonsensical, and a lover of party games. He also finds the thrill of the hunt gratifying. Challenge him and it's sure to be a hoot! He is very silly... unless of course he's faking it or has gone crazy. Also he is genderfluid, but prefers to be referred to as 'he'. Even if he's trying to kill you, he's usually a pretty nice guy. Like if you politely ask him to shut up, he'll shut up, or if you're tired, he'll politely stop chasing you and let you rest, because that wouldn't be fair. It is almost impossible to make him angry.

Barnaby is completely indifferent to any insults and has no problems with self-esteem. He never flirts with anyone and does not react to flirting in his direction and always changes the subject in this case. He's also gay, but asexual, so if he's attracted to males, it's definitely not in a sexual way.

Interesting facts: Barnaby's favorite food is eye scream. His favorite Halloween snack are caramel apples. Barnaby has watched Monsters University. If he had a TV, he would watch really old shows and movies like the Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy musical. He dislikes Rootbeer, although he serves it at his parties, he will not drink it. When he posts on Twitter, he speaks in alternating caps (yes, he has a Twitter). He hates cheesecake, quoting that "Dutch Apple pie is way better then cheesecake". Barnaby loves Super Mario 64. He smells like a "musty old attic". Barnaby loves space, as stated in one of his posts on Twitter. One time, a user posted a meme about ‘Spying on Barnaby’s Twitter Account and waiting until he uploads’, coincidentally, on the exact same day he made a post about it asking people to stop and stating he’s a ‘very busy bird’. He would panic when it comes to ordering at restaurants.
