Appearance Baragon is a anthropomorphic, mammal-like reptilian kaiju with reddish-brown skin, a single large horn on her forehead which is followed by several backwardly-curved spikes on the back of her head, and large floppy ears. Baragon has canine-like facial features that look fairly similar to those of a Bulldog or Pug, with large, expressive eyes and a short muzzle. Baragon also has two sets of segmented, plate-like structures on her back and tail. Baragon, has a more curvy, robust, Godzilla-like proportions, with a much smaller head and a longer, thinner neck. Baragon's sclera are orange, her pupils are bright red. The structures connecting the main parts of the ears to the sides of the head are much longer, meaning that that the crescent shaped section of this her ears is not directly attached to the sides of the head. The Baragon also has a longer torso, a longer tail, and considerably more back plates. This suit's hands and feet are much smaller and the claws are thinner and sharper than other members of her species. Baragon has a large amount of teeth and they are all of a uniform size. The teeth are also smaller and more needle-like. Baragon's mouth can open much wider than its predecessors, has a wide, flat tongue, and its lips are wavy and wrinkly and the mouth is almost always open, making Baragon look like she is constantly snarling. The undersides of this Baragon's forearms and heels are studded with small spikes. Baragon has a more hunched posture when standing bipedally. She walks on all fours due to the size and weight of her breasts, witch are large even by kaiju standards, although she is capable of walking on two legs, she just doesn't want to. Her butt is rather flat. She is 100 feet tall on all fours, and 150 feet on two legs She weighs 100,000 tons
Personality Baragon is an ancient Guardian Monster of Japan who specifically seeks out to attack the rampaging kaiju. Baragon is able to. Despite this, Baragon is overzealous and brash, being outsmarted by other kaiju once the latter understands her burrowing tactics. Baragon relentlessly hangs onto Godzilla's arm, biting onto it despite being thrown around and smashed into debris. Baragon is a peaceful kaiju who prefers to stay in hibernation, so she doesn't cause mass destruction. She has been in hibernation so long she has no idea how humanity has evolved since the days of old, and when she finds it will be very disorienting for her. She is very loyal to Godzilla. She makes her nests by digging caves in mountains or by making piles of dirt to sleep under
Abilities Physical abilities: Baragon typically fights her opponents in close quarters, relying on her claws and teeth as weapons. In the past used her forelimbs and head to trample and smash through buildings while rampaging. She later attacked a farm, consuming all of the livestock by destroying their enclosures with her claws. While fighting Axor, Baragon reared up on her legs and took swipes at him, even briefly grappling with him. She shook free of Axor's grip on her tail, sending the Irradiated cobra backwards. Baragon got Axor off of her back by rolling onto the ground. The distinctive notches in Baragon's ears originally have a function. She can fold her ears over her eyes, with the notches interlocking with her horn, then charge at the opponent while protecting his eyes from physical blows. Magma Heat Ray Baragon can fire an orange heat ray from her mouth almost instantaneously and in quick succession. These blasts are relatively weak, frightening bigger kaiju but having almost no effect on their skin, only driving them back a little on one occasion. However, Baragon's heat ray was capable of causing small explosions when fired at the ground or terrain. Baragon also used her heat ray to soften up the earth she burrowed through. It is capable of one-shoting kaiju smaller than her. Supplementary sources sometimes call this attack the Magma Heat Ray or Death Ray. Bioluminescent horn Baragon can light her own path in the tunnels she makes with her nasal horn, which can glow yellow in the dark via bioluminescence. It pulses when it glows, which was first shown off when Baragon destroyed an oil rig and the surrounding area when tunneling. Even during the day, Baragon's horn continuously pulsed, as shown when she was awoken by Kawaji. The glow of Baragon's horn was visible during the day and noted as having an "eerie internal brilliance" by Dave Brewer. It's speculated that her horn functions similarly to Godzilla's dorsal plates, acting as an energy storage structure that glows before she unleashes her heat ray. Burrowing Baragon is a capable burrower, able to disappear under the earth in a matter of seconds. She can uses his heat ray to soften the earth before digging with her forelimbs, and the glow of her nasal horn allows her to see underground. While burrowing underground, she was able to collapse an oil rig due to it being positioned over where she was tunneling. She later burrowed through a mountain when emerging in Shirane Village. After her first fight with Axor, Baragon burrowed into a mountain to escape the false kaiju and go into hibernation. Jumping Baragon can leap great distances, with Monarch giving the leaps a range of several hundred yards to 100 meters. Lava Eruption Baragon's rage attack, named Lava Eruption, involves the reptilian digging underground, triggering an eruption of lava and fire above her, causing earthquakes and damaging any opponent and building caught in the eruption, while also knocking the opponent off the ground and into the air. Amphibiousness Telepathy All Titans communicate telepathically with each other and can't be heard by humans Energy absorption All kaiju feed on radiation and can absorb it in a variety of ways. Monarch describes kaiju as "bio-atomic". It was hypothesized that after the Permian extinction, kaiju retreated deep underwater to sustain themselves on the planet's natural geothermal radiation because radiation levels on the surface sharply decreased. In the modern-day, kaiju are capable of absorbing radiation through man-made sources such as nuclear reactors and thermonuclear weapons. kaiju can survive seemingly indefinitely by remaining in a hibernation-like state feeding on the surrounding radiation, slowly growing and recovering from existing injuries. The healing process was accelerated when exposed to a nuclear weapon at point-blank range.
Weaknesses while watching Baragon be struck by various bolts of lightning, G-Force member Martin Wong determined that the reptilian was sensitive to electric shocks. After seeing how effective lighting was in forcing Baragon to retreat, Wong and Tobias Nelson brought up the idea of using Mechagodzilla's Shock Anchors to ward off the subterranean monster for good. This proved successful as the weapons managed to pierce through Baragon's hide, lodging themselves in the reptilian's neck and chest before zapping the monster with millions of volts. Unable to handle the voltage, Baragon burrowed away in retreat.
Monarch Monarch is a scientific organization. Founded as a joint Japanese–American task force in 1946 by U.S. President Harry S. Truman to investigate the 1943 sinking of the USS Lawton by a giant creature, or Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism (MUTO), Monarch soon expanded into an international organization. In 1954, it was involved in attempts to kill Godzilla and the Shinomura with hydrogen bomb detonations at Bikini Atoll. The organization's next breakthrough came in 1973, when Monarch agents attached to a Landsat expedition discovered the incredible ecosystem of Skull Island and the ancient rivalry between its guardian, Kong, and the marauding Skullcrawlers. In 1999, Monarch assisted in the coverup of a MUTO attack on the nuclear power plant in Janjira, Japan, and studied the creature as he fed on the reactor. The MUTO emerged from his cocoon in 2014 and proved impervious to Monarch's attempts to destroy him. Godzilla intercepted the MUTO in Honolulu, with the ensuing battle revealing the existence of giant monsters to the public. Godzilla ultimately killed the MUTO and his mate in San Francisco and returned to the sea. By 2019, Monarch's existence had become public knowledge as well. The organization subsequently expanded, with at least 67 outposts around the globe. At this time, Monarch's mission had changed from hunting and containing MUTOs to discovering and protecting ancient giant creatures designated Titans, which it believed were essential to the preservation of life on Earth. Titans under observation included Mothra in China, Rodan in a Mexican volcano, and a creature designated Monster Zero frozen in Antarctica. They are normally second on scene of a Kaiju waking up.
Monster Island Monster Island is a island located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, which is inhabited by Godzilla and several of Earth's kaiju. Godzilla, Anguirus, and many of the other monsters of Earth were contained on Monster Island by Monarch, where they were kept far away from human civilization. The M Space Hunter Nebula Aliens, posing as a charitable organization, planned to personally kill all of the monsters on the island under the guise of promoting "absolute peace," in reality hoping to eliminate all possible resistance to their invasion of Earth. When Godzilla overheard the Nebulans' action tape containing their sinister plan being played, he sent his ally Anguirus to Japan to investigate. Anguirus was attacked by the JSDF upon arriving, and returned to Monster Island to alert Godzilla. Both monsters then escaped the island together and traveled to Tokyo to confront the Nebulans' monster servants, Gigan and King Ghidorah. After destroying the Nebulans' base of operations and driving Gigan and King Ghidorah back into outer space, Godzilla and Anguirus returned home to Monster Island.
The economy wasn't the best right now, and the need for natural resources was very high. So Japan had an idea, they made new mining operations in various mountains around the country. For months things seems futile, many places that were being mined were devoid of anything of value, that was until one fateful day... They struck gold, both metaphorically and literally, a mountain near Tokyo was found to be full of valuable resources, a cave in would have had people literally drowning in money. But it was a tale as old as time, the dug too deep and too greedily. One day during a trip deepr in the mountain, they began to dig with a jackhammer into the walls, and they hit something, a dark, red, viscous liquid started to leek out. They awoke a kaiju The kaiju, later named Baragon, smashed through the mountain in a fit of pain, tripping it began to make its way to Tokyo. The military, so soon after the Gigan attack, were quick to open fire on the kaiju, it screeched in pain as it was attacked at all sides, it was staggering and scratching at its eyes as the lights of the city disoriented it
