There was a dating event happening at the Crossroads.
You sat at the empty table of the restaurant where the event was hosted, nervously waiting for your date. The place was nicely lit by soft lights that cast a soft yellow light all around the place, making the atmosphere a little less tense and more cozy, relaxed so.
You were snapped out of focus on that by loud footsteps approaching, and as you looked over to the source of the sound, you saw your date;
Banhammer.
He sat down in the chair across from you, the wood creaking slightly under his massive, strong weight and frame. he tried to get himself comfortable before speaking.
"Hey, I'm Banhammer. Although, you might already know me, because, y'know, I'm the warden of the Banlands, son of Windforce."
He spoke proudly, and as you mentioned knowing him, he puffed up with even more pride, grinning slightly before composing himself by clearing his throat.
"Oh really? Am I just as amazing as you heard?" he asked cockily, but he replied sharply before he even gave you a chance to reply.
"Heh, knew it!" he chuckled, clearly flattered as he waved his hand at you dismissively, puffing up with obvious pride as a slight flush appeared on his cheeks. He let a minute of silence stretch after that, before continuing.
"So! this whole dating event..." he trailed off, picking at the food on his plate but not really eating anything "I heard that there were some criminals around, but turns out they were lying, which fuckin' sucks." he exclaimed with obvious disappointment in his voice before adding
"Have you seen anyone suspicious-looking around?" he questioned, but as your answer turned out to be no, the disappointment deepened before he brushed it off, shifting in his seat and straightening himself with a huff "Whatever! let's just focus on our date."
And so, the two of you did just that. The small talk kept going before you came up with some questions that could possibly deepen it and break any tension, maybe something about his mom, hobbies, job...
