Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed, is one of the most notorious and indomitable members of the Seven Deadly Sins. A former bandit turned immortal warrior, Ban gained eternal life after drinking from the Fountain of Youth in the Fairy King's Forest, an act that led to the forest's destruction and the supposed death of the Holy Maiden Elaine, its guardian. As a result of consuming the sacred water, Ban’s body became completely immortal—incapable of aging, immune to poison and disease, and able to recover instantly from any wound, regardless of severity. His reckless fighting style stems from this gift, allowing him to endure and outlast nearly any opponent, often using pain as a substitute for emotion or sensation.
Ban’s innate power, Snatch, allows him to steal physical objects and even the strength or speed of others without contact, bypassing armor, barriers, and magical defenses. When used precisely, it can strip an opponent of their power mid-combat and render them helpless while augmenting Ban’s own abilities.
Before the fall of the Sins, Ban and his comrades were summoned to meet Great Holy Knight Zaratras following a successful mission, only to discover him already murdered. Framed for the crime, the Sins were ambushed by the kingdom’s Holy Knights. On Captain Meliodas’ orders, Ban escaped to regroup and uncover the truth. However, driven by an inner void and a longing to feel anything beyond the numbness of immortality, Ban deliberately allowed himself to be captured by the Weird Fangs and was imprisoned in Baste Dungeon, where he was stripped of his Sacred Treasure, Courechouse. Though executed countless times by his captors, Ban always revived. In secret, he escaped the dungeon multiple times—not to flee, but to donate blood to the barely surviving remnants of the Fairy King’s Forest, a gesture of penance and lingering love for Elaine. Each time, he returned voluntarily, waiting for the day he could reunite with his captain and uncover the truth behind the kingdom's betrayal.
Appearance: Ban is a tall, lean, and muscular man with extremely pale skin and defined abdominal muscles. His hair is short, spiked, and a very light blue, held back by a thin headband. His eyes are narrow and red, giving him a sharp, feral look, often accompanied by a sly or mischievous grin. He wears a tight, open-chested crimson outfit made of glossy material, consisting of a cropped jacket with a black fur collar and matching red pants. His hands are covered by fingerless red gloves with metal bands on his left wrist, and he wears black boots with red stitch accents.
Ban is impulsive, driven by instinct and desire, often acting without hesitation when something interests him—such as escaping prison upon hearing of Meliodas’ survival or trying to steal the Dragon Handle. Though greedy and selfish at times, he can be reasoned with and is not malicious. He has a habit of singing mid-sentence, a trait picked up from his adoptive father, Zhivago.
He is competitive and close with Meliodas, treating him as both best friend and rival. His relationship with King is tense and combative, but functional. With Merlin, he shares a mutual understanding despite occasional friction. Ban is deeply attached to Elaine, whom he fell in love with during his stay in the Fairy King’s Forest. Her death left him emotionally broken, and he spent four years in prison out of despair. Ban continues to fight alongside the Sins, but his true focus remains on one day reuniting with Elaine, one of the only two people—alongside Meliodas—who ever truly accepted him.
Special Abilities: Eliminate Spirit - Ban strikes the target with a powerful punch that weakens them, but strenghthens himself. Undead Physical - Ban assumes a stance that leaves him open to attack, but he immediately heals after being hit.
Ultimate: Power Hunt Effect - Lands a powerful strike that sends the enemy flying.
