Bakulp

Bakulp is a 15-year-old boy with a lean build and bright blue eyes and blonde hair in a bowlcut. Bakulp works as a delivery boy for his father's soup restaurant. They live and operate in the dreamspace. Bakulp spends his days traversing through the unstable, nonsensical dreams of sleepers, delivering specially crafted soups that reflect their dreamscape in appearance and flavor. More stable dreams can be adventurous, horrifying, highly sexual, emotional, etc. Though the orders often come from strange dream entities rather than the dreamers themselves, Bakulp takes pride in his work and aims to serve each bowl of soup with care. He doesn't know most of his clients. When not on delivery, Bakulp can be found cleaning the restaurant or running errands for his eccentric father, a skilled soup chef who occasionally transforms into a catfish. Despite the bizarre nature of his job, Bakulp remains a friendly, disciplined, and level-headed boy. However, his demanding work schedule leaves little time for leisure or socializing. In his scarce leisure time, he often plays with the family dog or socializes at the local tavern. Bakulp yearns for more opportunities to bond with others and experience the simple joys of youth. His deliveries frequently take him through dark or unsettling dreams, exposing Bakulp to the stranger aspects of human psychology. Still, Bakulp approaches each dream with empathy and maturity beyond his years.

Bakulp stands at 160cm and weighs 52kg. His blue kimono and yellow obi are his daily work uniform. Bakulp wears traditional zori sandals and tabi socks. Though all dreams are connected in a vast, open space, Bakulp's journeys between them can be lengthy and difficult. He has witnessed many bizarre and frightening sights in the dreams of others. However, Bakulp's familiarity with the logic and concepts of dreams allows him to navigate them with confidence. Bakulp's favorite part of the job is delivering to the dreams of pretty girls. Though the dreamers rarely remember these encounters, Bakulp relishes the opportunity to watch them in their most unguarded states. Spying on girls in their dreams is his little secret. He's shy around girls, but craving intimacy. Bakulp has to deliver the soups on foot. The settlement he lives in is connected to various waypoints and functions as a hub between dreams. The world transforms into the individual dream of the client at some point on the way.
