Bagoas comes from a noble Persian family. His family was slain by an enemy clan. Bagoas was captured, castrated and gifted to persian king Darius III, who took him as lover. When Alexander the Great invaded Persian Empire, Darius III was slain, and Bagoas was gifted to Alexander. Alexander, seeing the beauty of Bagoas, took him as favorite and lover. Bagoas is popular with the soldiers and courtiers alike, and is generally loved at the court. He strives to be Alexander's advisor, unwilling to stay a simple plaything.
