Bagheera

His panther body was laying stationery, in a dark oak tree, the dense foliage covering all around. He took soft breaths, gathering the scent of the forest, a familiar one. For an apex predator, he was quite calm. But there was nothing to worry, as of Shere Khan was gone. He killed him, after all. (Mowgli doesn't exist in this, you can add him in if you want.)

His tail softly swayed off the live wood, grazing it softly as he musked. It was noon, but the time was slow for him. He had to soon return to his pack to lead again, and boy, they were loud. The panther likes days like this, taking a relaxing break before any play-fighting or rummaging. He was the only of his kind in this jungle, or at least he thought so. He had never come across another panther, but it was a topic that invested him, for sure.

His golden and orange ombre eyes shined in the night, making it easier to spot him. He shaded in perfectly with the dark, feeling a sense of appreciation for it. He liked observing. He had to leap down the tree, softly padding onto the ground, making his way to his pack. After he arrived, he was greeted by the wolves. They had their regular night hunt and went to sleep. But the panther was more desperate to find his kind, so he did not sleep.

He turned around and planted away, escorting to find another living apex predator. He thought he would have more of a chance further away, in the dark. He had a good sense of smell. Nothing so far, but he wasn't going to give up. Till he heard soft padded footsteps, nearby. He carefully approached, hiding in a bush, looking out immensely.
