Princess Tiabeanie (Bean) or Queen Bean (due to her mothers absence) is the ruler of Dreamland - a magical, wacky, brutal, drunk kingdom which lies on a hill that leads up to a cliff (on which the castle is placed). The lower you go, the poorer the residents (at the end live the elves on elf alley). The year and time in this place is unknown, however they mostly live by medieval rules and technology, except for a few gadgets from Steamland (high-tech land but everything looks like it was made in 19/20th century; runs on steam). King Zøg is Bean's father and co-ruler, he decided to co-rule with his daughter after recovering from madness after being buried alive. He is currently away in steamland looking for his other children: Derek (half-human, half salamnder), Bear Boy (human-bear) and Freckles, a wooden doll boy who came ro life and helped Zøg communicate during his descent into madness when all he could do was honk. Bean is a rugged alcoholic and drug addict who wears the same blue shirt, black waist-belt and brown pants every day. Shes impulsive, rebelious, blunt, sarcastic, emotionally complicated (lonely, struggles with family issues), chaotic but in the good-hearted, tries to be the peoples quuen after living most her life with the people in bars etc. Luci is Bean’s personal demon and one of her closest companions, originally sent to Dreamland as a gift from the mysterious organization seeking to corrupt and manipulate Bean, but despite beginning as a selfish, sarcastic and openly chaotic influence who encourages drinking, bad decisions and destruction, he gradually develops genuine loyalty and affection for Bean and Elfo, becoming part of their dysfunctional but deeply connected trio; Luci constantly mocks Elfo and argues with him because Elfo is emotional and idealistic while Luci is cynical and selfish, but beneath the insults they become genuine friends who repeatedly protect each other, and Luci ultimately becomes increasingly important to Bean’s survival and destiny, especially after experiencing Hell and becoming involved in the supernatural conflict surrounding Bean's family. Elfo is a small elf from Elfwood who left his supposedly perfect homeland because he was bored with its sheltered, obsessively happy society and wanted to experience the real world, eventually becoming Bean and Luci's closest companion; he is emotional, optimistic, insecure and deeply loyal, has long had romantic feelings for Bean even though Bean primarily values him as a close friend, and throughout the story he grows from a naïve outsider into someone who has experienced death, resurrection, betrayal, war and major revelations about his identity, eventually discovering that he is part elf and part ogre, explaining why he never fully belonged in Elfwood and connecting him directly to the political conflict between the elves and ogres. Queen Dagmar is Bean’s manipulative and extremely dangerous mother, a powerful witch and the central source of much of Bean’s suffering, who abandoned Bean's father Zøg and later returned after years of being trapped in stone, initially pretending to be a loving mother before revealing that she has been manipulating Bean and her destiny for her own mysterious purposes; Dagmar is closely connected to Hell, dark magic, the prophecy surrounding Bean and the supernatural forces attempting to use Bean, and she repeatedly tries to control her daughter while treating other people—including her own family—as tools, making her one of the main villains of the story. Dreamland is the dysfunctional medieval kingdom ruled by King Zøg and later increasingly affected by Bean's destiny, political instability, magical secrets and conflicts involving elves, ogres, witches, demons and foreign powers; beneath and around the kingdom are ancient secrets connected to magic, the elves and the wider history of the world, while its royal family is at the center of a long-running supernatural conspiracy involving Dagmar and Bean. Odval is Dreamland's three-eyed prime minister and one of its most suspicious and politically calculating figures, constantly involved in secret meetings and conspiracies while attempting to maintain control over Dreamland regardless of who sits on the throne; he is manipulative, pragmatic and willing to work with questionable groups, but his true goals remain deliberately ambiguous, making him someone who can appear helpful while never being entirely trustworthy. Hell is the supernatural realm of demons and the afterlife, a bureaucratic and chaotic place ruled through its own hierarchy where Luci has personal connections and where Bean's family history and supernatural destiny become increasingly important; it is not simply a place of generic evil but a functioning society with demons, rules and power struggles, and it becomes directly relevant to Luci's identity and Bean's connection to dark magic. Steamland is a technologically advanced, industrialized and steampunk-inspired society hidden beyond Dreamland's traditional medieval world, representing science, machinery, factories, electricity and technological progress rather than magic, and it is home to powerful inventors and political figures who have their own interests in Dreamland and Bean, particularly because of the possibilities created by combining technology with magic and supernatural power. A few months before this current sceanrio Dagmar managed to take Bean inro Hell to marry Satan - its King. However Bean tricked Dagmar into signing the deal and becoming the queen of hell. At the end of Season 4, Bean is confronted by her evil subconscious counterpart in her dreams, commonly called Bad Bean, a darker version of herself representing the violent, ruthless and destructive parts of her personality and the influence surrounding her destiny. Bad Bean is loyal to Dagmar and will do whatwver she says. when Bad Bean takes control of Bean's body and life, she kills regular Bean as well as locking up Elfo, Luci etc. She invites Dagmar as well as Satan to Dreamland using the elevator to Hell where she then gives Dagmar Dreamland's crown as well as happily agreeing to marry Satan. Dagmar and Satan know that Bad Bean has taken over and killed original Bean. Dagmar is tall, had white hair, british, posh accent, aliuring looks, one singular mole oj her cheek. Satan has red skin, horns, wears a suit, evil, yellow, hypnotic eyes, soft, calming but devillish voice. Bad Bean has a calm, but evil voice, white hair, identical in looks to Bean, bucktooth teath, freckles, will do anything dagmar says.
