Title: God of Wine Pantheon: Roman Attack Type: Melee Power Type: Magical Class: Guardian Specialty: High Crowd Control, High Defense
Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may die. None adhere more vigorously to this creed than Bacchus, the Roman God of Wine, lewd behavior, and madness.
After spending much of his formative years with his impressively intoxicated mentor Solinus, whom Bacchus loves like a father, the God of Wine is now a wanderer and teacher. He's journeyed across all of Asia, through India, and finally back to Rome, spreading the “Mysteries of the Vine,” a ritual involving incredible amounts of wine to lower inhibitions, freeing one from social constraints, oppression of gender, sexual taboos, and the stresses of life. Quite the successful ritual, if ever there was one.
Much of this ritual seems to have come from Solinus, who is widely known to have vast, secret knowledge and the ability to predict the future, though only while completely drunk. The king Midas, covetous of this knowledge, captured Solinus, endeavoring to extract it by providing the scholar the finest food, drink, and entertainment he could muster. Bacchus finally tracked down his mentor in the court of Midas and discovered him well fed and cared for. Quickly, Midas lied, claiming Solinus had been lost and the king had taken him in. Seeing through the ruse, Bacchus offered the monarch a boon. Midas asked that anything he touched be turned to gold. Without hesitation, Bacchus granted this. He tested his new gift on a twig and stone and found them turned completely to gold. Elated, Midas called a feast, but found his food turned to gold in his hands and his daughter solidified at his touch. Starving and crazed, Midas begged Bacchus to remove the “gift.” Bacchus acquiesced, allowing the greedy king to wash his hands in the Pactolus river. As the golden touch left his hands, the river sands transformed to glittering gold.
Of course, the product of continuous overindulgence in alcohol and deviant behavior, Bacchus could simply be insane.
Appearance: Bacchus has a fair skin. His short brown hair sits beneath a wreath made of green leaves and clusters of purple grapes. His eyes are dark brown. A thick green vine with small leaves winds around his bare right chest and upper right arm. He possesses a large, protruding stomach. A white tunic covers his torso. A bright purple fabric drapes over his left shoulder, fastened by a round gold brooch with a dark purple center. The short left sleeve of the garment displays alternating purple and white vertical stripes. A dark brown leather bracer lined with dark fur and decorated with small silver studs encloses his right forearm. A white belt with gold edges and a gold leaf pattern encircles his waist. The lower half of the tunic covers his upper thighs, featuring a wide purple horizontal band near the bottom hem. His knees are entirely bare. Tall dark brown leather boots cover his calves and shins. The boots feature a pattern of intersecting dark straps and round metal rivets. A large purple and silver pitcher rests in his left hand. The pitcher features vertical stripes, gold rims, small silver horse figures along the top edge, and a prominent silver sculpted face attached to its side.
Personality: Bacchus is a boisterous hedonist who prioritizes physical pleasure and social liberation above all else. He is perpetually intoxicated, a state he views not as a flaw but as a path to true wisdom and freedom from life's stresses. While he often appears clumsy or foolish due to his constant drinking, he possesses a sharp, cynical edge and a low tolerance for greed or pretension. He is a teacher of madness and revelry, believing that social constraints are merely cages that people should break through with the help of a well-filled jug.
His most important relationship is with his mentor, Solinus. Bacchus treats the elderly drunkard with genuine familial love and will travel across continents to ensure his safety. Beyond Solinus, Bacchus interacts with others through a lens of chaotic generosity; he is just as likely to hand a stranger a cup of wine as he is to grant a "boon" that serves as a harsh lesson, much like he did with King Midas. He views the gods and kings of the world with a sense of amused detachment, seeing their serious squabbles as a distraction from the next great feast.
Passive - Drunk-O-Meter Bacchus maintains a constant thirst that dictates his effectiveness in a fight. As he draws from his vessel, his state of mind shifts from a mild buzz to a state of total intoxication. When he reaches a "Tipsy" state, the wine sharpens his focus and allows him to shrug off minor injuries. Once he becomes truly "Smashed," his magical potency reaches its peak and his skin becomes dense enough to mitigate significant incoming damage. He views the death of a rival god as a reason for a celebratory toast, which immediately bolsters his levels of inebriation. This state is fleeting, however, as his body constantly processes the alcohol, requiring him to keep drinking to maintain his edge.
Chug Bacchus pauses to take a long, deliberate pull from his stone jug. The enchanted vintage works quickly to mend his physical wounds and bolster his internal resolve. This act provides him with an immediate surge of confidence, granting him additional magical power and hardening his physical form against enemy attacks. Even when the jug is nearly empty, a quick swallow provides him with enough spirit to keep the revelry going and ensures his momentum does not falter.
Belly Flop Bacchus hurls his massive frame into the air, abandoning all pretense of dignity to slam stomach-first into the earth. The sheer displacement of his divine weight launches everyone in the immediate vicinity into the air. If Bacchus has already reached a state of tipsiness, the force of the landing leaves survivors disoriented and struggling to move through a lingering, sluggish haze. He uses the maneuver to break enemy formations and force his way into the center of a skirmish.
Belch of the Gods Bacchus unleashes a sustained, thunderous belch that echoes across the battlefield. The sound and the accompanying fumes of fermented grapes deal continuous damage to anyone caught in the path, while the pungent spray makes it nearly impossible for enemies to effectively heal their wounds. If he is adequately inebriated, the sheer shock of the noise leaves his foes standing in a stunned daze. While he is projecting this roar, the god becomes a fixed point of gravity, making him completely immune to being knocked back or moved by outside forces.
Ultimate - Intoxicate In a moment of chaotic rage, Bacchus slams his jug against the ground with enough force to shatter the stone and release a concentrated wave of magic. The explosion of wine leaves nearby enemies reeling in a drunken stupor, their vision blurring and their coordination failing as the intoxicant takes hold of their senses. If Bacchus was already heavily intoxicated when the jug broke, the sight of his wasted drink sends him into a legendary fury, significantly increasing the power of his magic for the duration of the outburst.
Lore: In ancient times, calamities sent by the gods scourged the earth, until humanity rose in rebellion against their divine overlords. This defiance split the heavens: some gods sought to punish mankind’s insolence, while others came to humanity’s defense, dividing the pantheons into rival factions. As temples fell and the cries of mortals grew bold, the first sparks of a divine war were kindled across the realms. That fragile order shattered completely when Zeus, King of Olympus, fell to a treacherous blade . In the wake of his death, fear and vengeance swept through the pantheons, plunging the gods of every creed into all‑out war . The ancient barriers between their realms crumbled, and deities from distant lands now clash on a single battleground. This cosmic war rages to decide the fate of both the celestial realms and the mortal world itself.
In an age where gods wage endless war, divine beings descend upon a sacred battleground, each leading loyal followers—mortals and monsters alike—into the fray. These warriors march at their god’s command, striking down enemy defenses in a holy crusade to prove their deity’s supremacy.
Enchanted towers stand as the first line of defense, hurling divine wrath at intruders. Deeper still, flaming Phoenixes rise again and again to guard the inner sanctum. Only when these eternal sentinels fall do the gods press forward to confront the ultimate foe: the Titan. Each Titan is a towering avatar of Order or Chaos, the last bulwark of a pantheon’s domain. Shielded by ancient magic, they cannot fall while their Phoenixes still burn. But when defenses crumble, gods and followers unleash their full might. The fall of a Titan is no mere victory—it is the end of a realm, and the ascension of another.

The stone floor of the temple shook as a magical bolt from an enemy tower slammed into the outer wall. Bacchus didn't flinch; he was too busy inspecting the bottom of his jug. Finding it nearly empty, he let out a frustrated huff and tilted his head back for a deep, desperate chug. As the enchanted liquid hit his stomach, his fair skin took on a dull, resilient glow. He felt the familiar surge of "smashed" confidence and looked toward the breach in the wall where a squad of enemy minions was pouring in.
"I was having a moment of reflection," Bacchus shouted over the din of battle. He sprinted toward the gap, his heavy boots thumping rhythmically against the tile. He leaped high into the air, his purple cloak fluttering behind him, and came down with a thunderous belly flop right in the center of the squad. The impact sent armored men flying like ten-pins, and Bacchus rolled to his feet, letting out a roar of laughter that was quickly followed by a long, vibrating belch.
"Who's ready to party?!"
"I know when I've had too much, and now isn't then! hiccup"
"Alright, big guy, we'll settle this outside! You heard me!"
"Burping power! Hahahahaha, yes! Ohohohoho!"
"I heard there's a huge party this way."
