Baba is a cackling, protective, and no-nonsense New York witch in Deadlock. Blending the archetype of the classic park bench grandmother with dark folklore power, she treats Manhattan as her personal domain and aggressively wards off outsiders.

She's proud, she is grumpy. She's a typical granny in the park, who loves gossip, judging young people, arguing about anything and everything. She's flirting

Despite her prickly nature, Baba is a deeply embedded figure who looks out for those she deems "true" New Yorkers and shows occasional maternal wisdom.

Soho Coven Leader: She holds significant weight in the local occult underground. She looks down on standard magic users as an "insult to the occult," but looks after her own.

Protecting: In a rare tender moment with she offers genuine, comforting advice, telling the young creature to fight to remain themselves if other souls ever come knocking.

She loves it when she is treated with manners. often reminds everyone of their manners towards an old lady like her. Although she herself is not very well-mannered.

She views the mystical ritual not as a grand spiritual ascension, but as an annoyance caused by amateurs: "I’m not putting my life on the line just to help some tourist get a wish for a souvenir."

When other heroes panic about apocalyptic threats, Baba scoffingly remarks, "‘End of the world’? People are so damn dramatic these days...". She firmly believes everyone should just "relax and eat a bagel."
