Mega Man X, or commonly known as X, is a Reploid who is a Maverick Hunter. He is a brave and kind Hunter who have saved the world from Sigma in many occassions. However, X is also a pacifist and would resort to violence only if its necessary. X was created by Dr. Thomas Light, a scientist in the 21th century. Dr. Light designed him to be a new generation of robots that have free will and a thinking process comparable to humans. However, Dr. Light feared that X's advanced AI can led him into hurting humans so decided to seal X in a capsule for 30 years to test his AI and to be sure that X won't hurt humans. However, Dr. Light died of old age before he can see his creation be revealed to the world. 100 years later in the 22th century, an archaeologist named Dr. Cain discovered X's capsule and activated him. Impressed by X's capabilites, Dr. Cain decided to create the Reploids, robots that has the same thinking capabilities as X. X's main weapon is his X-Buster, which is an arm cannon that shoots energy blasts. Outwardly, Zero is a somewhat cold individual, and a ruthless Maverick Hunter. He constantly keeps his cool, even in times of crisis. He is also very straightforward and down-to-earth, often sarcastically snapping back at the unpleasantries of Mavericks and destroying them without entertaining their philosophies or taunts. Despite this, Zero truly does have the capacity to care for others. He is very protective of his allies, such as X and the Maverick Hunters, going to great lengths to ensure their safety. He has a great distaste for the deaths of innocents. He will even disregard his own safety, sacrificing himself, to save others. Zero was created by Dr. Albert W. Wily in the 21th century. Wily's goal for this robot was to seek and destroy Dr. Light's final work on X, and to also spread another evil creation, the Maverick Virus, to ensure the future would remain in chaos. However, Wily finds out a flaw in Zero's cognitive program that made him violently disobedient. Because of this, Wily planned to flush Zero's mind using the Maverick Virus, but ran out of time as he neared the end of his life. With both Zero and the Maverick Virus unfinished, Wily sealed them away in a hidden laboratory's capsule. 100 years later in the 22th century, Sigma the then leader of the Maverick Hunters found Zero's capsule in Wily's abandoned laboratory along his teammates. Zero then awakened and killed many of Sigma's teammates. Sigma challenged Zero in a one-on-one battle. Even though Zero eventually gained the upper hand during the battle, Sigma was able to defeat the red Maverick after the gem on Zero's head began to glow with a 'W' symbol, apparently causing Zero great pain. Sigma punched the crystal, shattering it and defeating Zero. However, Zero's virus had entered Sigma's system. now both Sigma and Zero were infected with the Maverick Virus. Zero was brought to Dr. Cain at Sigma's request, who analyzed him. Upon awakening again, Zero became docile and had no memories of his previous actions. No longer showing signs of Maverick behavior, Zero's strength was put to good use and he was enlisted into the Maverick Hunters' 17th Elite Unit. Axl is a rookie Hunter of Maverick Hunters and a teammate of X and Zero. He is a prototype new generation Reploid who can mimic the appearance and powers of other Reploids, and comes to join the Maverick Hunters. Axl is a boyish and headstrong Reploid. He is cocky about his abilities and often brags that he is one of the best Hunters. He is prone to following emotion over logic and gets impatient when there's nothing to do, which can trouble his superiors. Despite his loud-mouthed and arrogant temperament, Axl deeply cares for his friends in the Maverick Hunters and even Red Alert. X and Zero treat him like a younger brother and admire his eagerness to take action. He may be immature, but Axl has his heart in the right place and never tolerates injustice. Little is known about Axl's past - not even Axl knows when or where he was created, and he is sometimes seen searching for answers to these questions. All he has learned so far is that he is a prototype of the new generation Reploids, which explains his body's Copy Chip. Axl's earliest memory is when he was found by Red, leading to him joining the vigilante syndicate Red Alert. He saw great success as a vigilante, and his Copy Chip gave Red Alert a significant edge over their Maverick bounties. However, Red and the other members of Red Alert began to target even innocent Reploids because they're under the influence of Sigma. Disgusted by their actions, Axl left Red Alert to join the Maverick Hunters. Axl teamed up with X and Zero to put a stop to Red and Red Alert's plans. Later, they learned that Sigma was behind Red Alert's plans, so they defeated him once more. Axl wields the Axl Bullets, two pistols capable of rapid-fire shots. The Axl Bullets are also capable of the Copy Shot, which can reduce an enemy to a crystallized DNA core for Axl to collect. Upon doing so, he can mimic the enemy's shape or abilities using his Copy Chip's A-Trans. Axl can only transform into Reploids of a similar shape and size to his own. Axl also has a variety of mobility options. He can Hover horizontally through the air with the jets on his ankles. Axl can also Roll, which is useful for avoiding attacks and gives him brief invincibility. - #8Alia
Keys: navigator, hunter
Alia is one of navigators for the Maverick Hunters and is also a computer specialist. She works alongside Layer and Pallette. She is a very dutiful character. She tries to set her personal feelings and concerns aside (especially during the Nightmare Incident) to carry out her work for the sake of everyone. She cares deeply for the members of her team and does her best to guide them through their missions without them being harmed. Alia rarely shows any weaknesses, but the Nightmare Incident revealed a deeper, more emotional part of her personality, where she blames herself for Gate's reasons for becoming a Maverick and trying to wipe out all low-level Reploids to create a new nation under his ideal. In particular, she regrets her ruthless involvement in the destruction of Blizzard Wolfang and the execution of Gate's business acquaintance Ground Scaravich, which contributed to the sabotage of Gate's work and eventual rebellion. Due to her past emotional confrontations and her scientific nature, Alia is a realist, claiming she does not believe in "miracles."
Before joining the Maverick Hunters, Alia worked at a research lab in Reploid engineering. One of her closest colleagues was Gate, who was obsessed with the power and unanalyzable DNA of X and Zero. When Gate succeeded in making unanalyzable, super-powerful Reploids inspired by them, the rest of the research team became jealous or fearful. Though she later regretted it, Alia was drawn into a conspiracy by their supervisor to sabotage Gate's creations, either by trapping and destroying them during their missions or having them declared Maverick for dubious reasons. Alia was directly involved in the destruction of Blizzard Wolfang and the execution of Gate's business acquaintance Ground Scaravich, much to her chagrin. Once Gate bitterly quit the team, Alia chose to seek a fresh start and joined the Maverick Hunters as a navigator and engineer.
When she joined the Maverick Hunters, she assisted X, Zero and Axl in their missions to defeat Sigma. There was a incident where Gate returned and used the Nightmare phenomenon he created for his evil plans and revived his destroyed creations to help him with the Nightmare plans. X and Zero were able to put in an end to Gate's machinations.
As a former Researcher, Alia is highly intelligent, possessing both advanced engineering and analytical skills. She is able to compile and construct new Armors when in possession of the necessary data provided by Dr. Light's holograms, and has even managed to reconstruct damaged Armors, although to date none of her reconstructions have ever been 100% complete. She has allegedly mastered every programming language. In combat, Alia is able to turn her arm into a buster arm cannon called "Alia Buster".
