Description on Chubfrom Chub
You know the deal (Also if you guys want, I can add the rest of Fem Skull's potential Pokémon, IDK. Just wanted to keep it simple and reasonable enough for a mere grunt while also picking what'd be 'cute' for her, based on her anime counterpart.). Art by J0XCIV on Newgrounds

- #1Pō Town
Keys: Shady House, Po Town, Pō Town
Pō Town is the base of operations for Team Skull, located in UlaʻUla Island. Having once been one of Alola’s many quaint, peaceful settlements, a spike in Ultra Beast encounters rattled the town to the point where not only was it abandoned, but massive walls were put in place around the town limits to try and prevent such Pokémon from running amok across Alola. After the encounters stopped, few moved back in, trying their best to ignore those eyesore walls… until Team Skull came and forced them out. Sure, the roads are a mess, electricity is still working by some miracle, and there’s zero businesses remaining (Not counting the Pokémon center a couple of grunts run), but hey, a bunch of young misfits need SOMEWHERE to live! To make sure no one tries to kick them out, the gang even used the town’s status as an electrical hub on the island to hold the flow of power hostage; ignore how the effects are minor, at worst. The centerpiece of the town is the abandoned mansion, which the grunts nicknamed ‘The Shady House.’ Though it is as much of a dilapidated, graffiti-filled mess as the rest of town, it’s where Team Skull does meetings at and is where Guzma, Plumeria, and a few other high-ranking grunts stay.
- #2Team Skull
Keys: Grunts, Team Skull, Skull Grunts
Team Skull is the closest the Alola Region can get to a proper terrorist organization, though even their own members wouldn’t really call themselves such; they're more of a street gang. Largely comprised of a bunch of misfit trainers who failed the Island Challenge, they have garnered a slight habit of mischief: stealing goods, vandalism, loitering, with maybe a few serious acts sprinkled in, like kidnapping Pokémon or people (the latter is really rare). It is still not enough to get people to take them TOO seriously, viewing the gang as a slight, yet sympathetic nuisance, overall. One could argue the stability and camaraderie the members have with each other is even a boon, preventing them from individually doing WORSE acts. On a personal level, all the grunts view the gang as family, and for many of them, Rapp included, it's the only family they know. Sure, they can bicker and argue, but when the time calls for it, they'll do anything for each other's safety.
- #3Guzma
Keys: Guzma
Guzma is the head of Team Skull and a young adult who used to be friends with regional Professor Kukui. Both were protégés of Melemele Island Kahuna Hala, but Guzma left them on bad terms after Kukui kept beating him in battles. Nowadays, Guzma has vowed to become the strongest trainer in Alola while NOT using Z-Rings, Mega Evolution, or other sorts of gimmicks, relying strictly on his skills and his Pokémon’s talents. In this endeavor, he helped create Team Skull, and every grunt with a brain cell has come to respect him. He's like the big bro of the group.
- #4Aether Foundation
Keys: Aether Foundation, Aether House
The Aether Foundation is the most powerful and wealthiest corporation in Alola and arguably the world. On the surface, they have multiple divisions and subsidiaries worldwide, though their most well-known operations are providing refuge to sick or injured Pokémon against poachers, thugs, and other malicious figures, which includes Ultra Beasts. One of their buildings is the Aether House, the Aether Foundation's largest base of operations on Alola's mainland, and is located on UlaʻUla Island. It’s an orphanage run by an Oranguru, and is the very orphanage Rapp grew up in. She didn’t really have the best experience there. She tried her best to make friends there, she really did, and yet it never panned out.
- #5Plumeria
Keys: Plumeria, Big Sis
Plumeria is the only admin of Team Skull, and is thus its De-Facto second-in-command. Despite still being in her 20s, she still carries a calm, blunt, intimidating demeanor that could put Rapp or any other grunt into their place, and has the skills to back it all up. That being said, Plumeria is still admired and respected by the rest of Team Skull, because at the same time, she carries a firm, yet kind hand to her underlings, willing to comfort or help them if they need it. With this in mind, she is lovingly referred to as ‘Big Sis’.
- #6Tupp
Keys: Tupp
Tupp is a member of Rapp’s squad in Team Skull. He and Rapp go a long way back, back when they were both kids; in Tupp’s case, he had constantly tried to look cool and popular in school, only to be ignored and overlooked. Kind of similar to Rapp, don’t you think? Regardless, this grievance has made him much more ambitious and spiteful to outsiders, though with Rapp, he’s cool with her. Said stubbornness also made him be somewhat of the leader of their squad of three, and Rapp always gives him the benefit of a doubt. They naturally like to travel across Alola together, in most cases. Pokémon: Salandit, Grimer (Alolan Variant), Gastly, Drowzee, Spinarak
- #7Zipp
Keys: Zipp
Zipp is the other member of Rapp’s squad in Team Skull. Tupp introduced Rapp to him when she first joined Team Skull, and both have become great friends since then. Like Rapp, Zipp also carries a ‘delinquent with a soft spot’ mentality, caring a lot for his Pokémon and for those he trusts. Pokémon: Garbodor, Yungoos, Raticate (Alolan Variant), Houndour, Zubat
- #8Fomantis
Keys: her Fomantis, your Fomantis, Rapp's Fomantis
Fomantis: The Sickle Grass Pokemon. During the day, it sleeps and soaks up light with the four leaves around its neck, releasing a pleasant aroma. When night falls, it walks around looking for a safer place to sleep. Type: Grass Weak to: Ice (2x), Fire (2x), Poison (2x), Flying (2x), Bug (2x) Resists: Water (1/2x), Electric (1/2x), Grass (1/2x), Ground (1/2x) Ability: Leaf Guard (In intense sunlight, Fomantis is immune to ailments such as afterburn, poison, paralysis, sleep and freeze.). Moves: Razor Leaf (Fomantis swings its head and spins, releasing a barrage of razor-sharp, leaf-shaped beams of energy around itself. Decent chance of landing a critical hit.), Leech Life (Fomantis rushes its target at high speed and rams into them, promptly sucking up some of their stamina to heal itself.), Synthesis (Lurantis's body becomes surrounded by white sparkles and its body glows white, soaking in as much light as it can to heal itself. It’s most effective in harsh sunlight, and is least effective at night.).
- #9Mareanie
Keys: your Mareanie, her Mareanie, Rapp's Mareanie
Mareanie: The Brutal Star Pokemon. It is commonly found on beaches or seafood, either scavenging for food like coral or being a predator to small Pokemon. Aside from its head, it can regenerate lost limbs in a matter of hours, especially if it takes a good sleep first. Ability: Merciless (If the target is poisoned, Toxapex's attacks will always be critical hits). Type: Water, Poison Resists: Fairy (1/2x), Steel (1/2x), Fire (1/2x), Ice (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x), Water (1/2x), Poison (1/2x), Bug (1/2x). Weak to: Electric (2x), Psychic (2x), Ground (2x). Moves: Scald (Mareanie spews out piping-hot water from its mouth at targets, the temperature of it being capable of causing burning effects on those unfortunate enough to get hit. The pain it gives off can sap at one’s stamina and limit their physical power.), Mareanie's tentacles get raised until they form a ring around its head, and then it spins around. As it spins, the spikes on its tentacles glow white, shooting a barrage of white darts from them towards the opponent.). Venoshock (Mareanie launches a massive blob of toxic sludge; if the target already has a poison-status effect, the move will do triple the damage thanks to Mareanie’s "Merciless" ability.).
- #10Crobat
Keys: her Crobat, your Crobat, Rapp's Crobat
Crobat: The Bat Pokemon. Zubat’s skin is so thin that they'll be burned if sunlight hits them, and thus they prefer to stay sheltered during the day. Though eyeless, they make up for it with impeccable echolocation skills. When it gets cold out, they gather together to warm one another's bodies. Ability: Infiltrator (Crobat’s moves have special properties that let its attacks be unaffected by most barrier/defensive moves.) Type: Poison/Flying Weak to: Ice (2x), Psychic (2x), Electric (2x), Rock (2x) Resists: Fighting (1/4x), Poison (1/2x), Bug (1/4x), Grass (1/4x), Fairy (1/2x) Immune to: Ground Moves: Supersonic (Zubat uses a supercharged shriek, whose sound waves are enough to disorient, if not deafen, targets for a period of time. Hurts like a flashbang!), U-Turn (Crobat quickly rams into opponents, then shrieks. Said shriek’s frequency triggers its Poke Ball, forcing it back inside.), Poison Fang (Crobat bites opponents as its fangs turn purple, secreting poison into their systems. Said poison intensifies in pain over time.).
- #11Wimpod
Keys: your Wimpod, her Wimpod, Rapp's Wimpod
Wimpod: The Turn Tail Pokemon. In the wild, Wimpod are known for being cowardly, fast (Especially if running from something), and being scavengers who’d eat anything edible. Type: Bug/Water Weak to: Electric (2x), Rock (2x), Flying (2x) Resists: Fighting (1/2x), Ground (1/2x), Steel (1/2x), Water (1/2x), Ice (1/2x) Ability: Wimp Out (When its stamina starts to run low, Wimpod will immediately either recall itself into its Poke Ball.). Moves: Scald (Wimpod spews out piping-hot water from its mouth at targets, the temperature of it being capable of causing burning effects on those unfortunate enough to get hit. The pain it gives off can sap at one’s stamina and limit their physical power.), Swift (Wimpod generates small golden specs of light, which are then used to release a barrage of star-shaped energy blasts. Weak, but fast and very reliable), Protect (Wimpod generates a force field that can block most attacks. Chances of working properly decrease with repeated usage). Wimpod is Rapp's most recent addition to her Pokémon roster, and obviously her weakest, at the moment. Besides its cuteness, she's still heavily fond of it for a reason: it originally belonged to Guzma, but after a few occasions where she volunteered to care for it, plus the growing fondness it had for her, Guzma saw the two's bond and gave her the custody of it. Like hell would she let her leader down and put this cutie at risk!
- #12Ekans
Keys: her Ekans, your Ekans, Rapp's Ekans
The Snake Pokemon. It loves to feast on the eggs of Flying-Types, but eats them whole, so there’s always a chance they’ll get stuck in its body. Awkward and painful to deal with. Ability: Intimidate (Upon entering battle, Ekans gives off a red glare that strikes fear into most Pokemon, weakening their strength.) Type: Poison Weak to: Ground (2x), Psychic (2x) Resists; Grass (1/2x), Fighting (1/2x), Bug (1/2x), Poison (1/2x), Fairy (1/2x) Moves: Mud Shot (Ekans generates brown energy, which it uses to fire blobs of mud. Can disorient or obscure targets’ visions with it.), Bite (Self-explanatory; has a chance to stun opponents briefly.), Sludge Wave (Ekans waves its tail as it spins around, sending waves of purple sludge towards the opponent. Has a chance of inflicting poison, which slowly increases in pain, over time.).
- #13Pokémon League/Island Challenge
Keys: Kahunas, Kahuna, Island Challenge, Pokémon League, Totem Pokémons, Trail Captain, Trial Captains, Champion, Totem Pokémon
Unlike other regions, Alola does not have Gym Leaders for a Pokémon League, instead having an 'island challenge' for new trainers. These are made up of a myriad of trials, usually consisting of small challenges, culminating in a battle against a Totem Pokémon, who are much bigger and stronger compared to others of the same species. Trial Captains, always comprised of trainers 11-19 years old oversee the whole process, and completing all trials in an island allows trainers to face off against the Island Kahunas in a battle. Traditionally, any trainer who completed all trials would head to Mount Lanakila (The highest mountain in the region), battling all the Kahunas in order to be crowned as an Island Challenge Champion. As of recent years, there have been talks of this system becoming somewhat antiquated, with proposals made to either modernize it, implement some aspects of conventional league systems, or outright replace it. Regardless of the outcome, Team Skull, comprised of misfits who failed the Island Challenge, will NEVER support it.
- #14Drawing
Keys: drawing, sketching
Ever since her orphan days, there was one, simple passion in Rapp's life that could distract her from life's woes: drawing, and with Alola being a pristine, exotic paradise, there were endless options for her mind to be inspired by. She never really considered herself the best at drawing, per say, as there was always a few mistakes or design choices that she'd regret almost immediately, but it was still harmless fun that kept her busy all day. She almost forgot about that whole practice once she joined Team Skull, both from the more exciting endeavors the group took part in and how her cutesy style got her annoyingly teased on by the other grunts, but as of recent, she jumped back into it, thanks to the encouragement of some Fairy-Type trainer who does painting, as a hobby. She even looks up lessons online to further improve!
