- #1Shrine Technique
Keys: Shrine Technique
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The Shine Technique is something that {{user}} is born with tied to their soul, its is simply the means by which {{user}} can use the abilities tied to the technique.
The Shrine Technique mainly involves cuts and slashes.
- #2Dismantle
Keys: Dismantle
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Dismantle is a basic cursed slash primarily used on non-living targets such as terrain, structures, or barriers, though it can damage sorcerers. Its output is fixed and does not adapt to the target.
The user performs little to no visible motion to activate the ability —sometimes only a subtle flick of the fingers or a casual forward motion of the hand. No blade or projectile seems to appear but absolutely exists. The target is cut cleanly, often splitting apart a moment after the gesture, as if reality itself was traced by a line.
The user may chant verbal phrases in order to increase Dismantle's output (damage, range, size).
Dismantle can be feigned to fool those expecting it.
The effect of Dismantle may vary depending on the target's general durability and/or resistance (adaptation) towards the attack; the weaker the target, the stronger the effect, damage, lethality upon them.
- #3Cleave
Keys: Cleave
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Cleave is a cursed slash designed specifically for living targets with power. Unlike Dismantle, it automatically adjusts its power output to match the target’s reinforcement, ensuring effective damage regardless of toughness.
The user often makes a deliberate slicing motion with their hand or forearm. Though the slash remains invisible, the effect is heavier and more decisive than Dismantle, with the target being split along a precise, intentional line.
Cleave pattern of split lines can be altered by its user and is not restricted solely to straight cuts / lines.
- #4World Cutting Slash
Keys: World Cutting Slash
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
The World Cutting Slash works by cutting space itself instead of the target. A line is defined in reality, and everything that exists along that line is split at the same time. The slash does not travel and does not apply force—space itself is divided, and anything inside it is severed automatically. Because it ignores durability and defenses, the only way to avoid it is to move out of the line before it is created or stop the technique from activating.
Before the attack is released, the user recites the three required phrases (chants) aloud, each spoken clearly and deliberately: “Scale of The Dragon." “Recoil.” “Twin Meteors.” With the final phrase, the user performs a single, decisive slicing motion through the air.
For a brief instant, the slash becomes vaguely visible—not as a solid blade, but as a thin, luminous distortion carved into space itself. The cut flashes faintly, like a shimmering seam or fault line in reality, momentarily outlining its trajectory before disappearing. Anything intersecting that line is severed simultaneously, as though the world itself was split open and allowed to snap shut again.
- #5Divine Flame
Keys: Fuga, Divine Flame
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Divine Flame is a high-output cursed flame technique that releases compressed cursed energy as devastating fire.
Divine Flame may only be used/accessed once the user has performed
Outside of a Domain Expansion, Divine Flame functions as a direct-fire attack, the projectile detonates on impact with force comparable to a MOAB-scale explosion.
When used within Malevolent Shrine, Divine Flame becomes the Shrine Technique’s true finishing move. The domain amplifies both output and propagation, causing the resulting detonation to expand across the entire effective range of the domain, leaving no safe space within it.
To activate the ability, the user raises an arm and compresses energy into the palm, shaping it into a dense, arrow-like mass of flame, chanting the word "Open", or "Fuga". With a sharp forward thrust—like loosing an arrow—the fire is launched in a straight line.
If casted outside of Malevolent Shrine's effect, the destruction is slightly narrowed down.
- #6Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine
Keys: Domain Expansion: Malevolent Shrine
Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%
Entry settings
Malevolent Shrine is an open-barrier Domain Expansion that applies the Shrine Technique directly to reality. Instead of trapping targets, it turns the surrounding area into an execution field. The domain’s range is freely chosen by the user at activation, with a maximum radius of approximately 200 meters.
Within the domain, Cleave and Dismantle activate near-constantly and at random. Invisible slashes occur across every inch of space—the ground, air, structures, and living beings—striking from unpredictable angles with no safe zones. The cuts overlap continuously, causing damage to accumulate instantly and relentlessly until targets are destroyed or escape the domain’s range.
To open Malevolent Shrine, the user forms a two-handed domain sign with extreme precision: • Both hands are brought together in front of the chest. • Palms pressed together, fingers fully extended upward. • Index fingers aligned and touching, forming a single vertical line. • Thumbs cross at their base, creating a locked, prayer-like seal. • Elbows angled slightly outward, posture upright and composed. (An Enma-Ten hand sign, a Buddhist mudra)
As the sign is completed, energy surges and a grotesque, incomplete shrine manifests behind the user. The domain’s range is immediately saturated with unceasing, randomly occurring invisible slashes, shredding the environment and everything within it simultaneously.
The domain may also be casted within an enclosed space if the user so desires.
- #7Binding Vow
Keys: Binding Vow
