- #1Vess Kogo
Keys: Vess Kogo, Kogo's, Vess, Vess Kogo's, Vess's, Vess', Kogo
Vess Kogo was a Human male Emperor's Hand. After his mother was injured as a bystander during a Rebel protest against Imperial taxes on the planet Hanofar, Kogo developed a burning hatred for the Rebellion, which he fueled with the dark side after becoming one of Emperor Palpatine's Hands. As an agent of the Emperor, Kogo often carried out missions requiring little subtlety but a substantial amount of destruction. His obsession with the Rebel Alliance often caused him to take detours during his missions, during which he pursued agents of the Rebellion in acts of vengeance. Vess Kogo was a Force-sensitive Human male who lived during the period immediately surrounding the Battle of Yavin, when the Rebel Alliance was still an unorganized effort conducted by many disparate groups. After the Empire began taxing the citizens of the planet Hanofar, one Rebel group conducted a protest that soon went out of control. This incident ended in the injury of many innocent bystanders, including Kogo's mother. Kogo blamed his mother's injury on the Rebellion and developed an extreme hatred for the group. Kogo was soon recruited by Emperor Palpatine to serve as one of his Emperor's Hands, a secret group of Force-sensitive operatives loyal only to the Emperor. Palpatine used the dark side to fuel Kogo's hatred of the Rebellion and turned him into a killing machine. Like the other Emperor's Hands, Kogo thought that he was the Emperor's only operative and swore complete loyalty to him. Palpatine often used Kogo for missions requiring pure force, but Kogo sometimes deviated from his objectives to hunt down agents of the Rebellion, a habit that once almost ended in him failing the Emperor. Vess Kogo was a ruggedly handsome young man with deep black hair and a disarming smile, all physical traits that he used to seduce enemy female agents. He harbored a deep hatred for the Rebellion and often diverged from his assigned mission in order to hunt and kill Rebel operatives and sympathizers. This obsession never caused him to fail the Emperor in his assigned duties, but at one point he came close to doing so. Palpatine never used Kogo for subtle missions, but when he required pure mayhem and destruction, he often turned to the young Hand. Under the tutelage of Emperor Palpatine, Vess Kogo learned to augment his hatred for the Rebellion through the use of the dark side. Although he received the same training in advanced combat and espionage as the other Emperor's Hands, Kogo was notably more developed in his Force talents than some of the others, including Mara Jade. Despite serving the Emperor for a shorter amount of time than Jade, Kogo possessed the potential to surpass her in almost every area. Kogo was proficient in many Force abilities in the realms of Alter and Sense, including affect mind, telekinesis, telepathy, Force valor, and Force fear. He often carried a blaster pistol and a vibro-ax with him on missions.
- #2Vera Beroya
Keys: Beroya's, Vera's, Vera, Vera Beroya's, Vera Beroya, Beroya
Vera Beroya was a human female Mandalorian foundling who later served as the chieftain of Clan Awaud after the supposed death of her adoptive father, Nam Beroya during the Imperial Era. By the time she became a chieftain, Vera was considered young and battle-hardened. Beroya, a human woman, was tall and muscular, a powerful build. Decisive and confident in combat, Beroya relished every chance to go into battle. Leading Clan Awaud from the front, she screamed in battle and, when her ammunition was depleted, charged to the front lines. However, Beroya was unsure of herself as a civic leader and agonized over decisions that affected her entire clan. Beroya had a tactical mind and combat prowess, earning the respect of the Mandalorian clan she led for those attributes. In melee combat, she fought comparably to a legendary Mandalorian berserker, destroying everything in her path. Beroya wielded a SHUKUR-05 light repeater and a massive mythosaur axe. She wore heavy Beskar'gam armor.
- #3Ar'alani
Keys: Ar'alani, Ziara, Irizi'ar'alani, Irizi'ar'alani's, Ar'alani's, Ziara's
Ar'alani, born as Irizi'ar'alani and also known by her core name Ziara, was a Chiss female admiral who served in the Expansionary Defense Fleet of the Chiss Ascendancy nation during the Clone Wars and the reign of the Galactic Empire. A Chiss with blue skin and striking red eyes, Ar'alani was known as a brilliant tactician and a devoted officer within the Expansionary Defense Fleet. She was also regarded to have excellent instincts, often being told by her superiors to not doubt them. She was once a blood member of the Irizi family—one of the Nine Ruling Families that controlled the Ascendancy. In her early life, Ar'alani attended Taharim Academy where she became acquainted with fellow cadet Mitth'raw'nuru "Thrawn". Prior to her friendship with Thrawn, Ar'alani had never seen personhood in non-Chiss individuals. During her visit to homeworld of the Garwians with Thrawn, her view of them changed to them being people. Ar'alani believed that was how Thrawn must have always seen non-Chiss, but he told her that he in fact saw them as assets first and people second. She thought the dedication the remnants of the Nikardun Destiny showed towards their fallen regime was pointless. She was a very devoted officer that cared about the prestige and efficiency of the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet. She was known to refer to her officer subordinates by their names and it was noted that she took special effort to learn them. Her tactical genius caught not only the attention of the higher-ups, but also that of Thrawn's, who at one point professed that she had an eminently tactical mind. She was confident in her tactics but was not opposed to outside opinions and realized the importance of different perspectives when it came to analyzing situations. Ar'alani was a master tactician. She was very patient, known to wait for days or even weeks for the right time to take action. She was fluent in the Chiss primary language Cheunh, as well as the trade languages Meese Caulf, Minnisiat, and Sy Bisti. As a Chiss, she possesses blue skin, red eyes, and dark blue hair, which she keeps shoulder length and slicked back. She is toned and athletic, with slender curves. By both Chiss standards and the standards of the galaxy at large, Ar'alani is considered highly attractive.
- #4Snoke
Keys: Snoke, Snoke's
Originally a Jedi Padawan found to be strong in the Dark Side of the Force, Snoke survived Order 66, and became one of Palpatine's Dark Side Adepts, under the Emperor's direct tutelage. As he immersed himself in the Dark Side, Snoke was aged and deformed, as all truly powerful Dark Siders are, which is the cause of his current physical state. Eventually, however, Snoke turned Sidious, taking around a dozen of his fellow Adepts as followers and stealing many of his master's most valuable relics.
Snoke's intelligent, sophisticated, and at times calm demeanor masked his more sinister qualities such as cruelty, arrogance, egotism, and narcissism. He was a terrifying, monstrous individual who possessed a dark nature that rivaled even that of Darth Sidious. At his core, Snoke believes that the Sith have failed, prioritizing political power and galactic influence over strength in, and knowledge of, the Dark Side of the Force. As such, Snoke has sought out other Dark Side organizations, seeking to forge them into a new empire focused entirely on the Dark Side.
He had a distinctive, idiosyncratic bone and facial structure. Snoke had an elongated face with pale, heavily scarred skin, and pale blue eyes. Even in person he was still exceptionally large, standing over seven foot two inches tall. Nevertheless, Snoke didn't need size to impose his will given that the mere sight of his appearance could terrify.
He sported a large scar from the top of his head, all the way down to his brow. Snoke also had what appeared to be a scar or burn on his right cheek that caused his mouth to be contorted. Snoke's left zygoma was malformed. His twisted build and extensive scarring indeed confounded attempts to identify his species, though he is, or at least once was, a Muun. He wore ornate golden khalat robes with a gray underdress, tied at the waist by an elegant golden belt, and on his finger he wore a ring of gold and obsidian engraved with runes from a long-vanished Dark Side cult.
Because of his physical frailties, which left him past his prime in terms of physical strength, he relied on material comforts such as slippers to deal with his ailing body which was in a constant state of pain due to his advanced age and wounds, and he could not defend himself in a physical fight, instead relying entirely on the Force, being perhaps more powerful than Darth Sidious or Darth Vader, due to his constant pain supplying him with an unending source of fuel for the energies of the Dark Side.
- #5Zsinj
Keys: Zsinj, Zsinj's
Zsinj (pronounced /zɪnd͡ʒ/) was a male Human from Fondor. Although he bore no first name per the traditions of his father, a Fondorian shipyard mechanic, Zsinj preferred to follow in the footsteps of his more famous mother, Maarisa Zsinj, a Chandrilan Admiral in the Republic Outland Regions Security Force popularly known as the "Ace of the Spacelanes." Zsinj served under his mother until the end of the Clone Wars.
After the birth of the Galactic Empire, Maarisa Zsinj refused the order to return her starship, the Venator-class Star Destroyer Retaliation, to port for decommissioning. The elder Zsinj denounced the new government as corrupt and went rogue, preying on ships of the Empire as a pirate. Young Zsinj was granted command of the aging Victory-class Star Destroyer Iron Fist to hunt down his own mother. The campaign was intense but ultimately successful, and Maarisa Zsinj was killed by her own son. The younger Zsinj was officially named the first Warlord of the Empire, and the elder Zsinj was expunged from Imperial history. This was the beginning of a string of victories that would lead to ever greater power for Zsinj, but also initiated a pattern of absurd thinking that would confound future opponents and analysts.
Shortly after the Battle of Yavin, Zsinj was promoted to admiral and given command of the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Brawl—which Zsinj later renamed Iron Fist after his first command—by Emperor Palpatine himself. Zsinj quarantined the planet Dathomir and prevented the escape of the Force-sensitive Nightsisters, and Palpatine was personally grateful to Zsinj for halting this potential threat to his rule. Soon after this, Zsinj became High Admiral of the Crimson Command, a fleet of Victory-class Star Destroyers, and gained the position of Grand Moff over the Quelii Oversector, a large portion of the northern quadrant of the galaxy.
An overweight, balding human male, with brown and gray hair, Zsinj was a devious man, and in fact, he did believe that misdirection was the greatest weapon at his command. Adopting a somewhat comical outward appearance, he eventually took on the white uniform of a Grand Admiral, a rank he never earned, which lent an element of incongruity to his appearance when combined with his corpulence and his handlebar moustache. Additionally, he was also known to employ various theatrics, such as consuming non-alcoholic beverages and then feigning drunkenness in order to observe the reactions of those around him.
As a result of his numerous deceptions, some considered him rough and piratical, others saw him as a psychopath, and a few thought he was a buffoon. For strategic reasons, Zsinj did not want anyone to have an accurate picture of his personality, but his various personas were also necessary to keep the hyperintelligent admiral from becoming bored.
Few people truly knew Zsinj, but his second-in-command Melvar knew him best. Zsinj was comfortable discussing his various deceptions in front of Melvar, and allowed Melvar to see the genuine emotional reactions that he hid behind his public persona. Although brilliant and calculating, Zsinj could sometimes act to soothe his own sense of pride. Zsinj was capable of committing brutal and inhumane acts, particularly against non-humans, as seen with his special projects like Project Chubar and Project Funeral. He was also somewhat volatile at times, launching into violent tantrums, the severity of which his associate Melvar could sometimes predict. Zsinj also held a ruthless martial philosophy, being willing to make great sacrifices, often at the expense of his subjugated worlds, in order to achieve ultimate victory.
Zsinj was very technically proficient—so much so that his instructors at the Imperial Academy tried to guide him toward a career in support services. The ISB believed he had received technical training in his youth, but as with many details of his early life the ISB was never able to verify this. Zsinj had a fair degree of skill with general computer use, astrogation, and starship and starfighter engineering, as well as the operations of capital ships and transports. Zsinj was also an expert tactician. He invented a number of combat maneuvers which would later be taught in various military academies, such as the use of asteroids as a natural flak screen. He also had excellent organizational and management skills, as shown in his creation of an entirely new military force, the Raptors, and his ability to maintain a fleet composed of several disparate elements spread across an entire Oversector. In personal combat, he was capable of both short-range melee combat and long-range fighting. Zsinj displayed proficiency with various blasters and vibroweapons, and even had some skill with longbows and thrown weapons. He was also capable of riding large animals.
In addition to his military and technical skills, Zsinj was proficient in bargaining and persuasion, and possessed knowledge of bureaucracy and law. Zsinj also had the business acumen to maintain a hidden financial empire. He was able to use the protection of his military forces as an incentive for planetary governors to provide him with secret assets, as he did on worlds like Viamarr 4, Ession and Xartun. His secret business empire supported his publicly known military forces. He kept those financial holdings under numerous alias, including "Cortle Steeze," "Houghten Ween," and "Oan Pakkerd." Zsinj spoke several non-Basic languages, including Huttese, Mon Calamarian, and Rodese. Melvar recorded Zsinj's tirades against a failed subordinate in order to have it translated by a protocol droid. He determined that Zsinj used nearly sixty different languages during his minute-long tirade.
Zsinj's Imperial Intelligence dossier claimed that he was unable to lie convincingly despite years of practice; however, his own actions directly contradicted this, as he was able to execute several masterful deceptions requiring personal contact with trained ISB personnel.
As an Imperial officer and later a warlord, Zsinj wore an Imperial Navy uniform. Although he often wore the white uniform of a Grand Admiral despite never earning that rank, he was also known to wear the standard green uniform at times as well. He generally carried a blaster pistol—which he once used to obliterate his own office furnishings during a tantrum[—and also carried a comlink and code cylinder. He was also known to own a scepter. As warlord and Grand Moff of his own oversector, which was essentially his own private empire, Zsinj commanded a sizable fleet, but generally preferred to command from his flagship, the Executor-class Star Dreadnought Iron Fist.
- #6Ysanne Isard
Keys: Ysanne, Ysanne Isard's, Isard's, Ysanne's, Isard, Ysanne Isard
Ysanne Isard was a female Human who served as the Director of Imperial Intelligence for several years during the Galactic Civil War. Isard followed her father, Armand Isard, into Imperial Intelligence at a young age, blossoming into a model field agent. After the Alliance to Restore the Republic stole coordinates of the location of the Death Star's construction site, Ysanne was sent on a mission to the planet Darkknell. While the mission was a failure, she survived but the prospect of losing considerable face back on Imperial Center infuriated Isard. She instead found a way to pin the blame on her father. Backed up by members of the Emperor's Royal Guards, she accused her father of treason; the Emperor had him executed within the hour, and she took her father's position as Director of Imperial Intelligence. Her ruthless methods and disregard for the lives of others in this role earned her the nickname "Iceheart" amongst Rebels and Imperials alike.
Isard was exceptionally close to Palpatine, so much so that she was given the second Executor-class Star Dreadnought constructed, the Lusankya. Buried underneath the surface of her homeworld of Coruscant, the Lusankya became a prison and brainwashing facility, and Isard used it to torture the secrets out of many enemies of the Empire, as well as convert selected prisoners into sleeper agents. Isard's personality and traits were often compared to her two mismatched eyes. She could be icily cold, heartless and cruel, but was also prone to fiery, temperamental fits of anger. These traits asserted themselves at different times in her actions. Even as a field agent, Isard was ambitious, calculating, and ruthless. Her entire Lusankya prisoner complex was devoted to the torture of prisoners and then turning them into tools to bring down the Rebellion, though many observed that while she was talented at engineering opponents' downfalls politically, when she had to wield the hammer and deal with them in a more direct fashion, she did so rather clumsily.
Isard was possessed of an unyielding lust for power. She conspired against her own father in order to usurp him as Director, and the only person she would never betray and steal power from was the Emperor, who she saw as the man who had brought order to the galaxy. Isard claimed all her actions were done for the benefit and continuing survival of the Empire, though she rarely thought about anything other than herself when making a decision. Even when she did not wield any significant power, Isard always liked to be one step ahead of her enemies. Throughout her life, Ysanne Isard showed an utter disregard for the lives of others, often killing hundreds to send a message to just one; lsard was ultimately responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of individuals. She had the people of Toprawa, a planet that had aided the Rebels in destroying the initial Death Star, punished for their actions through starvation. Many Toprawans died during these "rituals," whereby sard had them bea for food and praise the Emperor's memory. Isard often had her own people killed, even for simply performing below her expectations. Her harsh methods for punishing traitors included killing all of their families. Particularly during her youth, Isard had a very short temper, and often entered a sort of bloodlust. satisfied only by the mass killing of her enemies. When in a rage, Isard would happily execute even her best officers for even attempting to disagree or arg ue with her. Additionally, any whiff of insubordination she sensed was duly punished, often by death. Isard had considerable pride, and hated to be made to look bad in front of her superiors, allies, rivals, or enemies. After her failure on Darkknell, Isard was not able to return to Coruscant and face the music, so she instead fabricated evidence linking her father with the Rebel Alliance, and accused him of sending her on a suicide mission. Throughout her careers, rumors of a relationship between Isard and Emperor Palpatine continually resurfaced, although, like much of her personal life, actual proof could not be found by Rebel or Imperial intelligence agents. When queried about her relationship with Palpatine by Darth Vader, she did not deny it, and told him that she found his power and wealth difficult to resist. lsard was under the assumption that Palpatine loved her in return, though the Emperor always had fears of her trying to overthrow him. Vader noted many similarities between Isard and Palpatine namely, their lust for power.
- #7Rae Sloane
Keys: Sloane, Rae Sloane, Sloane's, Rae Sloane's
Rae Sloane was a human female dedicated to serving the Galactic Empire as a naval officer. While an Imperial cadet at the Defiance Flight Training Institute, she foiled a plot by Commandant Pell Baylo to assassinate Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. Sloane went on to rise through the ranks of the Imperial Navy. Despite only filling in for the actual captain, Yale Karlsen, who was on assignment to a construction committee, she was proud to have achieved captaincy of a capital ship by the age of thirty, an Imperial Star Destroyer called the Ultimatum. She was charged with escorting Count Denetrius Vidian to the planet Gorse and was subsequently drawn into the Gorse Conflict. During her tour of the Gorse system, Sloane foiled a plot by Vidian to destroy Gorse's moon Cynda and its thorilide reserves in order to enrich himself. Due to her efforts in saving Cynda and its thorilide reserves, Captain Sloane was given permanent command of the Ultimatum. Later, Sloane tried to capture the rebel Kanan Jarrus by using his old friend Morfizo to lure him into a trap but failed. As a senior Imperial Navy officer, Rae Sloane was familiar with unarmed combat and fought with rebel personnel on several occasions. She was also trained to wield a blaster and managed to kill an assassin on one occasion. As a leader, Sloane knew how to identify potential allies. Rae Sloane was an ambitious and loyal mperial Navy officer who was devoted to serving Emperor Palpatine and his Galactic Empire. She chose to center her life on the Empire instead of having a wife or husband or becoming a mother. She was a tall, muscular human woman with brown skin and olack hair. A meritorious officer, Sloane ioined the Imperial Navy in order to escape having to work in a shipyard or loading dock in her homeworld of Ganthel. While staunchly loyal Sloane did not hesitate to question orders which she deemed treasonous and counterproductive to the Empire's interests. Sloane was a diligent Imperial officer who did not expect any favors. Recognizing her dutiful nature, Tarkin appointed her as the captain of Count Vidian's Star Destrover. As Captain of the Ultimatum, Sloane saw herself as a servant of the Galactic Empire. She had a tenuous workina relationship with her superior Count Denetrius Vidian, the Empire's efficiency expert. While sharing Vidian's belief in the Empire, Sloane was uncomfortable with his volatile and narcissistic personality, micromanagement, and also observed discrepancies in Vidian's official biography. While Captain Sloane had no qualms about using force and harsh measures to impose mperial order on the people of Gorse, she was still disturbed by her science officer Lieutenant Deltic's willingness to consider detonating Cynda just for the thrill of witnessing its destructive effects on Gorse. Regarding Deltic as an "embarrassment." Sloane toyed with throwing her out through her Star Destroyer's airlock and was relieved when Deltic was excluded from the party that accompanied Baron Danthe's promotion ceremony on Gorse. As a loyal Imperial official, Sloane also disliked the former Jedi Padawan and rebel Kanan Jarrus due to his cheeky remarks about her appearance. Despite missing an opportunity to arrest him, Sloane was still able to forge an "alliance of convenience" with Kanan after he appealed to her loyalty to the Empire in order to sabotage Vidian's plan to destroy Cynda. Her willingness to work with her nominal enemy was motivated by the rationale that Vidian's actions endangered Imperial strategia assets. Nevertheless, Sloane would resume her hunt for Kanan once Vidian's threat had been eliminated. As Admiral, Sloane was unwilling to waste Imperial lives and resources in reckless tactics. Sloane also despised the rebellion. However, she still made sure that captured rebels received medical treatment for injuries. An intelligent and rational woman, Sloane was able to see the flaws in the Empire's policies and strategies. As a senior navy officer, Sloane was well-versed in military tactics. She also disagreed with the idea of enslaving alien species since it turned people against the Empire. Despite her critical appraisal of Imperial policies, she thought that the Rebellion would only bring chaos and disorder to the galaxy. She disagreed with the idea of misrepresenting facts for the sake of propaganda.
- #8Leonia Tavira
Keys: Leonia Tavira, Leonia's, Tavira, Leonia, Tavira's, Leonia Tavira's
Leonia Tavira was a Human female who became the youngest person to achieve the rank of Moff in the Galactic Empire. Born into poverty on the planet Eiattu 6, Leonia became the mistress of the planet's Imperial governor, Moff Tharil Tavira, at the age of eighteen. After Tavira's wife died under mysterious circumstances, he took Leonia as his wife once she was of legal age. Later, Tharil suffered a stroke and was paralyzed. Leonia took over as de facto governor while her husband recovered and, when he subsequently took his own life, declared herself Moff of Eiattu. After proving herself by hunting down and dismantling Rebel cells, Leonia acquired her flagship, the Imperial-class Star Destroyer Invidious. Centered around this, she formed and led the Invids, a loose coalition of pirate bands. As a young woman, Leonia Tavira was slender with short, black hair with silver highlights—cut raggedly during her early pirate career—and piercing, violet eyes. By the time she was leading the Invids, Tavira wore her hair longer and had a more rounded, though still petite figure. Her small stature and taut, pale flesh gave her a youthful appearance, but she moved with a confidence that made her appear older. Tavira was well aware that she was considered attractive and frequently used her looks to manipulate men to gain power and wealth. She was just eighteen years old when she began an affair with Moff Tharil Tavira, and was content with the subsequent loveless marriage that brought her an opulent lifestyle and an escape from the poverty of her youth. Leonia was long suspected to have been responsible for the death of her husband, as well as his first wife. Tavira's appetite for male company was well known among the Invids and becoming her consort was one of the few ways to become part of the Invidious's crew. Tavira was an intelligent woman, who was also ambitious, opportunistic, and deceitful. She never plotted against her husband, but was quick to take advantage of his stroke to take control of Eiattu. While leading the Invids, Tavira quickly learned how to manage her pirate fleet. She recognized talent among those who served her and handed out promotions based on skill and initiative.
- #9Numa
Keys: Numa's, Numa
Numa was a Twi'lek female who lived on the planet Ryloth during the Clone Wars. As a youngling, the Separatists invaded her homeworld, and when they came to her town of Nabat, the townspeople were taken prisoner. Numa escaped and hid in the now-abandoned town until she was discovered by two Republic clone troopers, "Waxer" and "Boil." She befriended them, and they looked after her as the Republic forces liberated the town and eventually the planet. However, when the Galactic Empire rose to power, the troopers that Numa had come to befriend and look up to turned on her people, once again imprisoning them. Numa would join the Free Ryloth Movement, a rebel cell led by the infamous Cham Syndulla. Numa was a female Twi'lek with turquoise skin and brown eyes. As a child, she was feisty, being able to remain undetected in occupied Nabat even though the rest of its population had been either killed or rounded up by the Separatist military. She was afraid of Waxer and Boil when she encountered them, Waxer believing that she thought the two clones' armor meant they were droids. However, she would come to trust and admire the clones as they helped to liberate Nabat. After the rise of the Empire, Numa's distrust for outsiders grew, feeling a deep sense of betrayal towards the Empire and the soldiers she once admired. Much of her life was defined by war, and this caused Numa to have a cold and aloof personality, rarely speaking unless necessary.During her childhood, she was only able to speak her native language of Twi'leki, but she was fluent in Galactic Basic Standard by the time of her adulthood.Even as a child, Numa was able to avoid the battle droid forces which occupied her home city, even though the rest of Nabat's population had been killed or rounded up. She also possessed knowledge of its expansive sewer system, which allowed General Kenobi to stage an attack against the occupiers. As an adult, Cham Syndulla considered Numa one of the most skilled warriors in the Free Ryloth Movement, asserting herself as a dedicated agent. She was capable with a blaster pistol and had expertise with many types of grenades, including armor-piercing grenades and frag grenades. As a child, Numa wore a brown sleeveless dress, brown headdress and brown shoes. When she grew up and became a freedom fighter, Numa wore a tight-fitting black shirt and light brown pants, as well as a beige and black headdress. She wore white-and-orange armor pieces on her left arm, with "BOIL" written on one piece in Aurebesh in reference to her rescuers. She also has a faded tooka illustration on her tunic. She also has a faded tooka illustration on her tunic. She wielded a DC-17 hand blaster.
- #10Maarek Stele
Keys: Maarek, Maarek's, Maarek Stele, Maarek Stele's
Species Human Gender Male Pronouns He/him Hair color Black Maarek Stele was a pilot in the Imperial Navy and one of the Emperor's Hands. A native of Kuan, he enlisted in the Imperial Navy after the Galactic Empire rescued him from Bordali agents near the end of the Taroonian Civil War. Although he initially served as a mechanic, Stele was offered the opportunity to train as a TIE pilot after saving the life of Admiral Mordon. Over the course of several campaigns, Stele fought against the forces of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, as well as those of the treacherous Imperial Admirals Harkov and Demetrius Zaarin. Stele quickly became an ace pilot and went on to be considered one of the greatest pilots in the Empire. He was also well known as a test pilot, being one of the first to fly the TIE Avenger, TIE Defender and the Missile Boat into combat.Stele's Force-sensitivity attracted the attention of the Secret Order of the Emperor and, after helping to rescue Emperor Palpatine from Zaarin, Stele was trained to use the Force and became one of the Emperor's Hands. He was also rewarded with the title-rank Tan.Due to Kerek's kidnapping by Bordali agents, the young Maarek Stele developed a hatred for the Bordali and grew up having to cautiously guard his identity in order to evade being captured himself. His true identity was known only to those closest to him, though even with them, Stele remained unwilling to discuss what had happened to his father. During his early Imperial service, Stele would remain somewhat insular, picking his friends and confidants with great care. Despite this, Stele developed a surprising friendship with Admiral Mordon, coming to view the older officer as something of a father figure and feeling free to speak his mind around him. After leaving the Vengeance Stele found little time to get to know his fellow pilots and frequently tired of inter-pilot banter, leading him to become even more isolated, with few others he considered friends.Despite the need to maintain caution, Stele found it increasingly difficult to keep a low profile. He sought the exhilaration provided by participating in swoop races and, although he raced under an alias, he was willing to take the risk of being discovered as a result. Though Stele's involvement with the swoop gangs allowed him to develop his piloting abilities, it was ultimately the cause of his discovery by the Bordali. Even so, his love of flying remained and after joining the Empire he found a sense of freedom while in the cockpit of a starfighter[1] and that it helped him to forget his problems.[3] As a seasoned veteran of many battles Stele grew to be a stronger, tougher man than when he left Kuan.Stele had an understanding of science and astrophysics that he inherited from his father and, during his time as a swoop racer and later an Imperial mechanic, demonstrated his skills as an engineer in maintaining and upgrading both his own swoop and Imperial starfighters. His desire to learn helped him take quickly to his TIE pilot training and he soon became proficient. During his training Stele learned to contain his natural inquisitiveness after being given extra duty several times for asking too many questions.Stele knew of the Empire growing up, hearing tales of its brutal efficiency and, upon being captured by Imperial forces, he expected a short life. In this he was mistaken and, as he came to see more of the Empire, he began to feel drawn to its promises of stability and order and came to think of his former life as insignificant.Though he was honored to be singled out by the Secret Order, Stele was a somewhat reluctant servant and wished that he could simply fly a starfighter and not get involved with larger events. Over time he came to think of himself as a pawn in events over which he had no control. His involvement with the Order exacerbated Stele's isolation from his fellow pilots. By the time he was transferred to the Shamus he was getting a reputation for exceeding orders as he carried out his instructions for the Order. Since he rarely got punished for his apparent lack of discipline and had been apparently rewarded with rapid promotions he started to feel resentment from the other pilots and they tended to leave him alone.Stele first began to develop his piloting abilities on his homeworld, where he displayed a talent for swoop racing, performing high-speed stunts amid the high-rise buildings of war-torn Kuan. As a mechanic aboard the Vengeance, Stele had the opportunity to conduct test flights in Imperial starfighters. His experience with swoop bikes made him a natural pilot and he survived his first taste of combat against four Rebel starfighters despite having no formal training. After becoming a TIE pilot, Stele quickly became an ace and his piloting skills helped to bring him to the attention of the Secret Order of the Emperor as potentially Force sensitive. Stele was also proficient in the use of blaster pistols, blaster rifles and vibroweapons. On multiple occasions early in his career, Stele experienced visions and strong feelings which he could not explain. After Stele and his mother were first captured by the Galactic Empire, Stele's decision to join the crew of the Vengeance rather than return to Kuan to search for his father was influenced by an inexplicable sense that Kerek was no longer in the Taroon system and that serving the Empire would lead him to his father—a feeling that was eventually proved correct when the two were reunited aboard the Glory. In one early vision, Stele saw his future as a bright light at the end of a tunnel, though he wasn't sure whether this represented a bright future in the Imperial Navy or an explosive death. Occurring frequently as dreams while he slept, the strange images Stele saw left him confused, though one consistent factor in his visions was Palpatine's voice, seemingly filling his mind. At least one other Emperor's Hand, Mara Jade, was known to be contacted telepathically by the Emperor. After the Secret Order, a shadowy organization who utilized the dark side of the Force, began his official training, Stele's Force talents developed rapidly. Stele soon showed the ability to affect the minds of others, enhance his abilities, sense events around him and manipulate objects. He learned to use his affinity with the Force to enhance his piloting abilities, using it to probe the minds of enemy pilots for weaknesses and to anticipate their actions. Aided by the Force, Stele could utilize a starfighter as effectively as other Force users wielded a lightsaber.
- #11Cham Syndulla
Keys: Cham Syndulla, Cham's, Cham, Cham Syndulla's
Cham Syndulla, nicknamed The Hammer of Ryloth for his heroics during the Clone Wars, was a Twi'lek male who dedicated his life to being a resistance fighter and revolutionary leader during the Clone Wars and the early days of the rebellion against the Galactic Empire. Syndulla started as a political revolutionary who opposed the corruption of Ryloth's senator, Orn Free Taa, but the invasion of Ryloth by the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars saw him turn his attention towards rebellion. He formed the Twi'lek Resistance and fought alongside Jedi Master Ima-Gun Di and the Grand Army of the Republic in their initial attempts to repel the Separatist warlord Wat Tambor and the Separatist Droid Army, but the Republic's initial assistance was limited and the Twi'leks were vastly outnumbered. Though Syndulla was reluctant to trust the Republic again and feared a Republic military occupation of Ryloth, Syndulla ultimately allied himself with Jedi General Mace Windu and, together, they liberated Ryloth from the Separatists. His concerns over the Republic were eventually confirmed when, at the end of the Clone Wars, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine declared himself Emperor and transformed the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Even though Syndulla initially hoped for peace, Ryloth fell under Imperial Military occupation, and his wife Eleni Syndulla was killed by the Empire. Ultimately, Syndulla formed the Free Ryloth Movement to fight back. He and the movement hoped to strike a crippling blow to the Empire by attempting to assassinate the Emperor and his apprentice, Darth Vader, when they visited Ryloth, but the plot failed. In reality, it was a trick by the Emperor to lure the Free Ryloth movement into a trap. Many of the movement's members were killed, but Syndulla managed to escape. Syndulla's wife, Eleni was killed at some point during the Twi'lek rebellion and also had a son who died young, so Syndulla fully dedicated himself to his cause and cared only about liberating Ryloth. This created strain in Syndulla's relationship with his daughter, Hera, who left Ryloth to fight the Empire on other worlds. Cham Syndulla was a political revolutionary who opposed corruption and fought for Ryloth's freedom throughout his life. He was regarded as an extremist by the establishment Senator Orn Free Taa. While distrustful of the Jedi and the Galactic Republic, Cham came to respect the Jedi for their role in liberating Ryloth from a Separatist invasion led by Emir Wat Tambor. Despite the scarcity of food during the Clone Wars, Cham still respected the tradition of hospitality and offered Master Windu food. Cham's respect for Master Windu persisted years after the liberation of Ryloth. Cham was a courageous fighter who often led his men into combat. His accomplishments as a leader led him to be nicknamed "The Hammer of Ryloth," a moniker that also referred to the Battle of Ryloth itself. While Cham's suspicions about the Republic were proven right when it was transformed into the Empire after the Clone Wars, Syndulla still maintained his respect for the Jedi. Cham told his daughter Hera stories about the valor of the Jedi during the Clone Wars. As a patriot, Cham was solely devoted to achieving Ryloth's freedom from outsiders. This led him to neglect his daughter Hera, who found a friend in the form of her astromech droid Chopper. Despite their mutual love and respect, Cham and Hera later parted company after the two disagreed on the matter of whether Ryloth's freedom was linked to the galactic rebellion against the Empire. After the Empire's betrayal, Cham became a more cold and brutal leader, caring little for the struggles of other planets under the Empire's regime. He believed Ryloth had disproportionately suffered under the Separatist and now Imperial occupation. As leader of the Free Ryloth movement, Cham was willing to use violence to achieve Ryloth's freedom from Imperial rule. Despite his suspicion of offworlders, Cham was still willing to work with the Imperial Colonel Belkor Dray, who supplied Cham with information on the Empire in order to discredit his boss Moff Delian Mors to boost his own career. Cham knew that Belkor could not be trusted since he was helping them for his own selfish gain. Thus, Cham recorded all of his meetings with Belkor in order to blackmail the colonel should he betray them to his Imperial superiors. Cham cared for his followers and sought to avenge the death of his lieutenant, Pok, at the hands of Darth Vader. After learning that the Emperor and Darth Vader were visiting Ryloth on a surprise trip, Cham engineered a trap for the two Sith Lords and their Star Destroyer Perilous. Despite his careful planning, Cham underestimated the resourcefulness and bold cunning of his Sith adversaries. As a military commander, Cham also took steps to safeguard his rebel movement by dispersing them into hiding. Despite losing his opportunity to kill the Sith Lords and topple the Empire, Cham never gave up his devotion to the rebel cause. While ruthless in combat, Cham was unwilling to endanger civilians and took precautions to evacuate them before the fighting. Following his failed attack on Palpatine and before his reunion with Hera, Syndulla became more grizzled. Despite his distrust of the rebellion, Cham and his followers Gobi and Numa were willing to help his daughter Hera and her rebel cell to take out an Imperial fighter carrier that had been bombing Ryloth. Disagreeing with Hera's plans to steal the fighter instead of destroying it, Cham used his guile and charm to ingratiate the rebels and lull them into lowering their guard. Cham and his followers then proceeded with their plan to destroy the fighter carrier. However, Hera managed to sway him over by telling him that he had inspired her to join the rebellion. Due to their joint venture, Cham and his followers became more sympathetic to the rebellion. Despite his skills as a guerrilla commander, Cham underestimated the capabilities of Grand Admiral Thrawn, who led the pacification of Tann province. Cham's love for his daughter Hera later led him to assist her in a plan to recover a family artifact, the Kalikori, from Thrawn. Thrawn and Captain Slavin attempted to exploit his love for his daughter by forcing Cham to surrender himself in return for sparing the lives of Hera and her rebel comrade Ezra Bridger. Though Hera destroyed their ancestral home during an escape attempt, he still respected her for her ingenuity and creativity. Cham Syndulla was a passionate revolutionary and skilled military commander. He knew how to ride a blurrg and how to wield blasters and other weapons. A capable leader and great orator, Syndulla delivered rousing and fiery speeches that motivated his people to fight for their freedom. Syndulla organized the Free Ryloth movement into an efficient fighting force backed by a network of informants, supply bases, and storage depots. Despite being outgunned, Cham was a resourceful commander who was adept at laying ambushes. On one occasion, he used space mines, vulture droids, and disguised fighters to attack an Imperial Star Destroyer. Cham was also skilled at planning military operations and knew when to retreat. Cham was a capable warrior who often took part in the fighting. He was also familiar enough with the workings of starships to disable their hyperdrives. While zealous in his goals, Cham could also listen to reason and be a team-player. Cham was also skilled at outrunning pursuers while riding on his blurrg.

Keys: Ochi, Ochi of Bestoon, Ochi of Bestoon's, Ochi's
Ochi, known as Ochi of Bestoon, was a Bestoonian male Sith assassin and Jedi hunter from the planet Bestoon with a career spanning decades, from the twilight of the Galactic Republic, and the subsequent rise of the Galactic Empire. Ochi possessed a personal Sith dagger used to commit acts of murder, and had head implants. Trained in combat and martial skills, Ochi was a very capable assassin and had lent his services to the Sith Lords Darth Sidious and Darth Vader, as well as the criminal underworld. Born on the planet of Bestoon, Ochi became a member of the Assassin's Guild and became a Master Assassin of the league. He was active by the time of the Clone Wars as a Jedi and a relic hunter and a seeker of Sith arcana, where he would face down the likes of Jedi Masters Depa Billaba and Mace Windu. During the Imperial Era, Ochi was an associate of advisor Yupe Tashu and was employed as an assassin by both the Emperor, Darth Sidious, and Darth Vader. Although he was an assassin of the Sith, Ochi of Bestoon was devoted to serving only the most powerful, hence his pledges of allegiance to Darth Sidious and Darth Vader. As such, at times, those around Ochi were unsure if he was loyal to the Sith and Empire or to their enemies. He remarked that he was "playing a lot of sides." Despite his tendency towards serving others, he was extremely arrogant and headstrong, eager to rush into fights even when the odds were stacked against him. He was also easily amused and frequently laughed when things went his way. While he possessed great talents as a fighter and a tracker, Ochi was frequently outwitted and caught off guard, largely due to his assumption that he was better than his opponents. But even when he was defeated or overwhelmed, he continued to press on and put himself at risk for the sake of his own ego. Ochi was also obsessed with ancient Sith arcana. While not Force-sensitive himself, the relic hunter believed that the dark side of the Force propelled him and shaped his actions, considering his murders to be in the service of the greater darkness beyond the veil. He was also unkind to his droid D-O, whom he neglected and discarded. Ochi found standard Imperial caf awful to drink. Ochi had an inflated view of his own skills and resourcefulness as a bounty hunter. Despite his arrogance, Ochi was a very capable fighter. Trained in martial arts, Ochi possessed incredible agility and reflexes that allowed him to face several opponents at once and even hold his own against a damaged Darth Vader for a brief time, damaging his life-support and even catching Vader's lightsaber when he threw it at him. He was also very skilled in melee combat which was displayed in his vibro-knife fight against Sly Moore. The Sith assassin was also such a skilled shot that he managed to kill one Crimson Dawn assassin and injure the other one with two sniper bolts and later used his pistol and his A280-CFE rifle to kill several Crimson Dawn assassins. He also killed Erstin Deez with a sniper rifle from a long distance. While also precise, Ochi was also very quick, as he killed three master assassins by shooting them all in the head within just a few moments, while they had their weapons out and Ochi's pistol was in his holster. When outmatched by superior opponents, Ochi would create diversions in order to escape. In addition, Ochi was also able to pilot starships. - #13Delian Mors
Keys: Delian Mors', Delian, Delian's, Delian Mors, Delian Mors's
Delian Mors was a human female who served as a Moff in the Galactic Empire in the years after the end of the Clone Wars. A few years into the Empire's reign, Mors served as the Imperial Moff of the Outer Rim planet of Ryloth. A year into the Empire's reign, Mors' wife, Murra, was killed in a transport accident. Around the same time, she was assigned to the Outer Rim planet of Ryloth, a post she considered undesirable. Her loss and her assignment felt like a burden, one that made her neglect some of her duties. A known spice addict, she lived a luxurious lifestyle on Ryloth's largest moon while assigning the day-to-day affairs of her position to her disgruntled underling Colonel Belkor Dray, who she chose to promote over the more experienced Borkas, believing that the younger officer would be more easy to manage. Mors lived in a luxurious palace and was attended by green-skinned Twi'lek servants, all women and all scantily clad, who moved like pale-green ghosts through the rooms. Although none could leave, the Moff refused to call them slaves. With Dray taken aback by Mors' irresponsible lifestyle and shady contacts, he took it upon himself to actively support a growing resistance movement on the planet in an attempt to tarnish Mors' reputation and place himself in command. Her underling Colonel Belkor Dray grew frustrated with her leadership and collaborated with the Free Ryloth Movement in an attempt to discredit her. Mors was caught up in a plot by Cham Syndulla to assassinate Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader. In an attempt to unseat her, Belkor collaborated with Cham. However, Mors and the two Sith Lords outsmarted their opponents. Mors exacted revenge against Belkor and executed him. Delian Mors was an attractive middle-aged human woman. Mors could understand Huttese due to her frequent contact with Hutts. She was in a same-sex marriage with Murra. After Murra was killed in an untimely airspeeder accident, Mors sank into depression and lost her sense of purpose. She became a consumer of spice, which caused her to have watery eyes and a vague expression during her spice hazes, though she was still remarkably attractive. As a Moff of Ryloth, Mors was known for her hedonistic lifestyle and lackadaisical attitude towards her work. She delegated most of the governing of Ryloth to Colonel Belkor Dray, who came to despise her. Belkor's ambitions led him to become a spy for Cham Syndulla, the leader of the Free Ryloth movement. He attempted to exploit the Emperor and Darth Vader's visit to Ryloth as a means to discredit her leadership and boost his own political career. During the crisis, Mors rose to the challenge. With the help of Major Steen Borkas, Mors coordinated the successful search for the Emperor and Lord Vader. She appealed to her subordinates' loyalty to the Empire and won over Belkor's men. Mors took the deaths of hundreds of Imperial personnel personally and executed Belkor for his treason. Mors was also a competent military commander and led a successful counterattack which trapped Cham Syndulla's forces.
