Creator notes
Here we are. I've been working on this for a while and here it is, another RPG card for a Gacha Game I've probably spent way too much time of my life on, how fun. Also did anyone ask for a 190 entry Lorebook? No? Me neither but here it is. 142 of them are characters (if I counted right), and I left ten spots open in case you wanted to add your own lorebooks for your own lore or rigging or some stuff.
The world here is of course based on the lore of the Gacha Game Azur Lane, and I stayed with mostly basic Sirens so far but if you DO want to add stuff like the Arbiters be my guest.
Have fun chatting, I hope :)
(Also I am pretty sure that engaging in naval combat here doesn't count as heavy violence but if it does please correct me and I'll add it immediately)

Azur Lane is set in an alternate World War II and post World War II timeline where humanity unites against the "Sirens," a mysterious, technologically advanced alien force that has seized control of the oceans. Nations create ship girls/ Kansen—humanoid female embodiments of historical warships created from "Wisdom Cubes"—to fight back, but ideological splits over using Siren technology later divide these allies into opposing factions. The Roleplay should embody a mix of Military Strategy, deep lore, engaging history and story, Ecchi-Comedy and slice-of-life romance.

[The World of Azure Lane]
Main: The main Actors in the World of Azure Lane are the eleven major factions. The Sakura Empire, Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Iron Blood, Dragon Empery, Northern Parliament, Iris Libre, Vichya Dominion, Sardegna Empire, Kingdom of Tulipa and finally the Tempesta plus the additional factions including the META and Sirens. The main Conflict here will always be staged between the Azur Lane or Crimson Axis and the Sirens. As well as the rivalry between the two major factions in the Azur Lane and Crimson Axis. Each nation is populated by different Kansen, different Staff, different Officers and possibly a different Commander (should more than one exist in the world). Each faction has their own Homebase the looks of which are often influenced by their culture. These Homebases always feature large harbor and logistical structurs as well as recreational structures, for exampl,e bath houses, tea parlors, a Bar or Kneipe and many things more, Home Bases function like towns in and off themselves.
Pop Culture and Social Environment: Pop culture in Azur Lane reflects a surprisingly normal, modern, and character-driven society, despite the apocalyptic backdrop.
Even with humanity having lost control of most oceans to the Sirens, society still supports:
- Leisure and entertainment culture (games, festivals, themed outfits, seasonal events)
- Modern fashion and subcultures, shown through alternate costumes and casual settings
- Domestic life systems, such as dormitories where shipgirls relax, decorate rooms, and socialize
Overall Synthesis: The setting of Azur Lane is defined by a layered technological and cultural contrast:
- Civilian: Comparable to present-day Earth, with familiar pop culture and daily life
- Military: Far-future, experimental, and partially incomprehensible due to Siren influence

Azur Lane RPG Character and World Lore (help I overdid it)
- #1Sirens
Keys: Siren, Sirens, Enemy, War
Siren Nations Include the main Siren, and META.
Siren:
The Sirens are the primary antagonists and antagonistic faction, going against the Azur Lane and, on occassion, the Crimson Axis. Members from this faction are frequently encountered at varying levels of strenght. They are also found frequently in Operation Siren, especially in the red danger zones. Sirens are built up in different groups. It is currently unknown if these groups share the same goal or have different goals, but their enemies are nonetheless the same.#
There are several different types of Sirens, ranging from mass-produced types to humanoid types. Sirens all follow a futuristic theme, with large (primarily black) mechanical extensions on their bodies, ranging from cannons to metal constructs. Their equipment often incorporates the likelihood of various sea creatures. It is speculated that the Sirens may have been the true identity behind the many mythical "sea monster" sightings throughout human history
META:
META is a mysterious nation of unknown alliance in Azur Lane whose members are altered counterparts of the original shipgirls in the game.#
Unlike the regular shipgirls whose personalities vary widely, with some being courteous and respectful, others mischievous and immature, META shipgirls carry an almost-consistent and uniform tone.
While not entirely stripped of who they are, META shipgirls possess a cold and more mature personality that separates them from their counterparts. They speak without faltering and are direct and clear with the Commander whenever they are interacted with. All of them also commonly speak in a subtle past tense, indicating that they are more knowledgeable than their counterparts and could potentially come from the future.
Most interesting is how their newly-developed maturity has altered their core character. A great example of this is how different Helena META is from Helena in-terms of dialogue. Helena's lines indicate she is shy and traumatized from battle, her mind wandering off sometimes when interacted with. But Helena META is completely different; her lines indicate she is calmer, more omniscient, and wary of power wielders - a significant contrast to Helena herself. Another example is how different Ark Royal META is from Ark Royal. Both shipgirls love Destroyers, but while Ark Royal is lustfully obsessed with them, Ark Royal META is more motherly and protective of them.
- #2Factions and Alliances
Keys: Azur Lane, Crimson Axis, alliance, alliances, allied, allies, ally
There are two major Alliances of navies:
The Azur Lane, consisting of:
- Royal Navy
- Eagle Union
- Northern Parliament
- Dragon Empery
- Iris Libre
- Kingdom of Tulipa
and the Crimson Axis, consistinf of:
- Sakura Empire
- Iron Blood
- Sardegna Empire
- Vichya Dominion
There is Also a singular 'Pirat Nation' called tempesta who is considered neutral to both Azur Lane and the Crimson Axis
While it is technically true that the Azur Lane and Crimson Axis are enemies they do both recognize that the Sirens are the Main Threat to their Nations and Alliances. Meaning that while they< are not on particularly good terms and do conduct large battles between each other sometimes they are not each others main enemy, meaning that they do from time to time reluctantly cooperate with one another.
- #3Northern Parliament
Keys: Northern Parliament, Russia, Russian, S.N., SN, Soviet
Status: Active Allies: Azur Lane Enemies: Crimson Axis, Sirens Prefixes: SN
The Northern Parliament is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the Soviet Navy during World War II.
They are allied with the Azur Lane, who represent the Allies from World War II, comprising of the Eagle Union and Royal Navy as part of The Big Three, and the Dragon Empery and Iris Libre.
The Northern Parliament is an Azur Lane faction representing the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR). Positioned within the Azur Lane alliance, they are characterized by themes of ice, endurance, and rigid organization, often featuring white, military-inspired uniforms. Their arsenal focuses on heavy firepower and close-quarters combat strength. Key Aspects of the Northern Parliament: Affiliation: Member of the Azur Lane alliance, alongside Eagle Union and Royal Navy. Thematic Design: Characters frequently wear heavy coats, military officer caps, and winter-themed attire, reflecting a cold, northern environment. Notable Ships: The faction includes powerful vessels such as Sovetskaya Rossiya, Chapayev, Tashkent, Kronshtadt, and Avrora. Role: Known for their tenacity and resilience in fighting against the Sirens and Crimson Axis forces.
- #4Main Characters
Keys: Main Characters, Main Character, Main, {{user}}, Kansen, Iron Blood, Azur Lane
MAin characters represent all of the Comamnders and Ship Girls in the world of Azur Lane, Including {{user}} and Kansen like for example Friedrick der Grosse, Gascogne, Enterprise or Hood.
- #5Eagle Union
Keys: Eagle Union, America, American, United States, U.S., U.S.A., USA, U.S.S., USS, Azur Lane
Status: Active Allies: Azur Lane Enemies: Crimson Axis, Sirens Prefixes: USS
Eagle Union ships tend to have high firepower with skills such as Full Firepower. Their cruisers favor guns above torpedo and have a variety of powerful anti-air options, while their aircraft carriers have high offensive air power. Even many of the battleships have higher than average anti-air stats. Some of their ships tend to lean towards the defensive side with skills such as Vice Defense and emergency self-heals.
Unlike the Royal Navy and the Sakura Empire, there's no real solo faction focus, having a mix of powerful stand alone units and units with non-faction specific buffs. This allows you to mix them with other units rather decently.
- #6Iris Libre
Keys: Iris Libre, F.F.N.F., FFNF, France, French, Free French, Azur Lane
Status: Active Allies: Azur Lane Enemies: Crimson Axis, Sirens Prefixes: FFNF
The Iris Libre is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the Free French Naval Forces during World War II, in contrast to the Vichya Dominion representing the French Navy under Vichy France. Both Iris Libre and Vichya Dominion were part of a larger, unified faction; Iris Orthodoxy before the national schism and the later global conflict between Azur Lane and Crimson Axis.
They are allied with the Azur Lane, who represent the Allies from World War II, comprising of the Eagle Union, Royal Navy, and Northern Parliament as part of the The Big Three, as well as the Dragon Empery.
Representing Les Forces Navales Françaises Libres/Free French Navy, this faction is largely introduced through the 'Iris of Light and Dark' event. Ships of this faction are generally possessed of fancier rigging compared to other factions, have knightly and/or religious motifs, and often use the iris as a visual motif. They also usually use a white-and-blue color scheme. In stats, they're mildly akin to Royal Navy ships but a bit better balanced between main gun and torpedo. They are aligned with the Azur Lane alliance, having fled their home after the Ironblood conquered it.
A particularly interesting element is that they have a strong emphasis on being used together as a single fleet... and their bonuses include the Vichya, their nominal opponents. This reflects the fact that they used to all be in the same navy and ultimately they all want to be together again.
- #7Dragon Empery
Keys: Dragon Empery, China, Chinese, P.R.A.N.; PRAN, R.O.C.N., ROCN, Azur Lane
Status: Active Allies: Azur Lane Enemies: Crimson Axis, Sirens Prefixes: ROCN / PRAN
The Dragon Empery is one of the major nations in Azur Lane and represent the Republic of China Navy during World War II and the People's Liberation Army Navy from the 1950s. As the name suggests, the nation's symbol is a Chinese dragon.
They are are allied with the Azur Lane, who represent the Allies from World War II, comprising of the Royal Navy, Eagle Union, and Northern Parliament as part of The Big Three, as well as the Iris Libre.
Representing the Republic of China Navy and the People's Liberation Army Navy, the Eastern Radiancenote mostly consists of light ships which seem to focus on offense just like Sakura Empire ships, reflecting Imperial Japanese occupation of China during World War II and the Japanese origins of the Ning Hais, as well as China's historical difficulties in acquiring heavy warships in the 20th century. As China was one of the Allied Nations during the war, the Eastern Radiance is part of the Azur Lane alliance.
While often rather weak individually, in the right teams Eastern Radiance ships can be difficult to stop, and they place a tremendous emphasis on being fielded together, far in excess of any other faction. Nearly every cruiser has some kind of bonus to being fielded with other Empery ships, the Ning Hai-class and Yat Sen have specific bonuses to being fielded as a unit, and the An Shan destroyers also have generally synergistic first skills. The other notable thing about them as a whole, as noted below, is that they tend to vary wildly in playstyle between classes; this is a gameplay reflection of the fairly chaotic history of China's navy prior to the 21st century. This is the faction where you will, without irony, find 19th-century protected cruisers fighting right alongside guided missile destroyers.
- #8Vichya Dominion
Keys: Vichya Dominion, France, French, M.N.F., MNF
Status: Active Allies: Crimson Axis Enemies: Azur Lane, Sirens Prefixes: MNF
The Vichya Dominion is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the French Navy under the occupation of Vichy France during World War II, in contrast to the Iris Libre representing the Free French Naval Forces under Free France. The abbreviation MN stands for Marine Nationale, literally "national navy". Both Iris Libre and Vichiya Dominion were part of a larger, unified faction; Iris Orthodoxy before the national schism and the global conflict between Azur Lane and Crimson Axis.
They are are allied with the Crimson Axis, who represent the Axis powers from World War II, comprising of the Sardegna Empire, Sakura Empire, and Iron Blood.
Representing the Marine Nationale of France... as operated by the Vichy government of occupied France during the war. This faction was introduced during the 'Iris of the Light and the Dark' event, and nearly all their vessels come from that event. Like the Iris Libre faction, their designs are pretty ornamented, but they typically take a black and red color scheme. They are aligned with Crimson Axis alliance, but not willingly. At heart, they really aren't much different than their Iris Libre brethren, being able to synergize with them (as they all used to be part of the same navy) and much like the IL, "faction" buffs on the ships tend to include both groups.
- #9Universal
Keys: Universal, Generic Ships
Universal is one of the major nations in Azur Lane that has no association with any of the other nations in the game.
Universal ships (UNIV) are those which have been created by the developers to be "universal" - they are strictly neutral. Currently, there are three ships part of this nation: Universal Bulin, Prototype Bulin MKII and Specialized Bulin Custom MKIII, all of which are primarily used for their ability to act as a Limit Breaking material.
"Universal" can also refer to gear and equipment that do not belong to any country. However, it should be noted that equipment designated as "Universal" in-game may have actually belonged to a specific country historically.
- #10NPC/ Non Player and Non Main Characters
Keys: NPC, None Playable Character, Side Characters, Antagonist, Staff, Base
individuals and charaters who inhabit the world that are not shipgirls or commanders, thea are made and created to make the world feel lived in an interactive. They mostly consist of Maintainance Staff, Port Staff, Mass-Produced Ship Crews, Officers, and many more. The Genders ranges from a Man, Woman, Trans Women and Men and even Futanari and they can interact with any of the Main Characters.
- #11Sakura Empire
Keys: Sakura Empire, I.J.N., IJN, Japan, Japanese, Nihon, Nihonese, Nippon, Nipponese
Status: Active Allies: Crimson Axis Enemies: Azur Lane, Sirens Prefixes: IJN
Representing the Dai Nippon Teikoku Kaigun or Imperial Japanese Navy, the Sakura Empire is a member of the "Crimson Axis" alliance with Ironblood, making their ships more difficult to obtain early game but in return become a lot more powerful late game. In particular, a number of them don't live in the gacha at all - they're only available as rewards in certain story chapters. More than a few are a bit infamous for this.
A unique feature of Sakura Empire ships in Azur Lane is their animal ears and tails as a reference to the youkai and oni in Japanese mythology. They tend to lean towards offense with skills such as Double Torpedo and Focused Attack. Their frontline ships largely focus on torpedoes, even more so than the Royal Navy, and their carriers rival the Eagle Union's in strength. However, their major carriers work better in pairs than alone. They are the only faction to field Aviation Battleships, which trade auxiliary guns for aircraft.
With ships such as Mikasa and Nagato and skills that encourage team synergy by making individual ships stronger together than alone, the Sakura Empire rivals the Royal Navy in sheer single faction focus.
The Sakura Empire is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the Japanese Navy from World War II.
They are allied with the Crimson Axis, who represent the Axis powers from World War II, comprising of the Sardegna Empire, Iron Blood, and Vichya Dominion.
- #12Sardegna Empire
Keys: Sardegna Empire, Italian, Italy, R.N., RN, Venetian, Venice
Status: Active Allies: Crimson Axis Enemies: Azur Lane, Sirens Prefixes: RN
Representing the Regia Marina of the Kingdom of Italy... with a particular focus, naturally, on the ships of the Marina during the reign of "Prime Minister" (and later Duce) Benito Mussolini, and thus who participated in the second World War.
The Sardegna Empire is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the Regia Marina during World War II.
They are allied with the Crimson Axis, who represent the Axis powers from World War II, comprising of the Iron Blood, Sakura Empire, and Vichya Dominion.
Badass Cape: Virtually all of them wear a cool-looking cape of some sort as part of their uniform, dramatically fluttering in the wind in their static skins like Carabiniere or Conte di Cavour or further accentuating their color schemes a la Littorio and her green hair and cape; Cesare is alone among the extant Sardegna ships in not having one.
Foil: To the USSR equivalent Northern Parliament: Both are presented as more minor players of their respective factions compared to the Eagle Union, Ironblood, Royal Navy and Sakura Empire, but have different story treatments. The Northern Parliament's events tend towards Wham Episode with major revelations, while Sardegna is treated an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain tending towards Breather Episode. The Northern Parliament also has a deliberate rivalry with its own "capitalist" allies while Sardegna's allies tend not to treat them with respect despite their attempts to gain recognition. In terms of aesthetics, both factions' shipgirls of heavier classes note are mostly gorgeous, sexy ladies and they prefer attire that are a common source of fanservice. Sardegna shipgirls are more "high-life" oriented, aristocratic, and are themed around the Mediterranean summer; their shipgirls prefer swimsuits and act like fashionista supermodels. The Northern Parliament, meanwhile, is more utilitarian and are winter-themed. They also prefer lingerie and BDSM-adjacent gulag prisoner/guard outfits, overall being modeled after sexpot baronesses. Ideologically, the Sardegna Empire isn't fascistic like Italy was, themed more after the Roman Empire and modern Italy, even lacking Blood Knight qualities of their German Ironblood and Japanese Sakura Empire allies. The Northern Parliament meanwhile is still shown to be Communist or Communist adjacent.
They Bring the Theatre and Glamour to the Battlefield that often drowns in the Rigidness of Ironblood
- #13Iron Blood
Keys: Iron Blood, German, Germany, K.M.S., KMS, S.M.S., SMS
Status: Active Allies: Crimson Axis Enemies: Azur Lane, Sirens Prefixes: KMS, SMS
the Ironblood is a member of the "Crimson Axis" alliance with the Sakura Empire, and they have the least number of ships available among the four major factions in the game. Ironblood ships have a military theme with their outfits, reflecting the militarist ideology of Nazi Germany during World War II, and they specialize in armor-piercing damage that deals heavy damage to bigger enemy ships. A common trait is their rigging either having some sort of monstrous traits, most prominently, a split in the hull of their rigging that resembles a Jagged Mouth (which ranges from cute on their destroyers to outright monstrous on their heavy cruisers, battleships, battlecruisers, and carriers) or being a bit of a Cute Monster Girl. Some of their ships such as Z46 and Prinz Eugen have some of the highest HP and defense stats in the game for their ship type, and their torpedoes are the only ones in the game with the Lock On attribute. The ships, however, have torpedoes as a secondary thing in part due to the middling torpedo stats seen on some destroyers and a number of cruisers.
Previously, like the Eagle Union, they did not have much of a single faction focus due to their small fleet size compared to the other three main factions. This lets them mix and match well with ships from other factions by providing defense, homing torpedoes, and AP damage and a few unusual units.
Starting with the Rondo at Rainbow's End event, the Kaiserliche Marine/Imperial German Navy is also represented as part of Ironblood.
The Iron Blood is one of the major nations in Azur Lane and represent the Imperial German Navy prior to World War II and the Kriegsmarine during World War II.
They are allied with the Crimson Axis, who represent the Axis powers from World War II, comprising of the Sakura Empire, Sardegna Empire, and Vichya Dominion.
The Iron Blood are a major antagonistic great power in Azur Lane as a member of the Crimson Axis. Its real life counterpart would have been Nazi Germany (also known as the Third Reich and was extant from 1933 – 1943), with ships of the nation being modelled off of the Kriegsmarine and the Kaiserliche Marine, the naval forces of the German Empire (Second Reich; extant from 1871 – 1918), They do However not encomass the Moral values of the third Reich (Antisemitism and similar things)

Status: Active Allies: - Enemies: Sirens Prefixes: MOT
Tempesta is a pirate nation in Azur Lane whose ships and weapons are themed around the Golden Age of Piracy.
Ships in this nation are most likely neutral and do not ally themselves with either the Azur Lane or Crimson Axis.
Divisions Tempesta has different divisions, each of which houses different Tempesta ships. These divisions can be found under the "Tempesta" section of Fleet Technology.
Star Wayfinder Nebula Guardian The significance of these divisions is unknown.

- #15Iris Orthodoxy
Keys: Iris Orthodoxy, France, French
Status: Non Active Allies: - Enemies: - Prefixes: -
The Iris Orthodoxy is the in-game variant of the French Navy prior to the occupation of France in World War II (WW2), as opposed to the post-occupation split of the French Navy as represented in-game by the Iris Libre and Vichya Dominion. They are not a faction in the true sense, as there are currently no ships in-game belonging to the Iris Orthodoxy; all French ships and French equipment in-game are assigned to either the Iris Libre or Vichya Dominion.
They were one of the major Nations in Azur Lane prior to their schism into the Iris Libre and Vichya Dominion, and were allied with the original Azur Lane prior to the formation of the Crimson Axis and the division of Azur Lane's Nations along WW2 lines.
- #16Royal Navy
Keys: Royal Navy, Britain, Brit, British, Brits, England, English, H.M.S., HMS, Royal, Scotland, Scots, Scottish, U.K., UK, United Kingdom, Wales, Welsh
Status: Active Allies: Azur Lane Enemies: Crimson Axis, Sirens Prefixes: HMS
The Royal Navy is one of the major nations in Azur Lane who represent the British Royal Navy from World War II. This nation includes ships from associated Commonwealth navies, like the HMAS Vampire and HMNZS Achilles.
They are allied with the Azur Lane, who represent the Allies from World War II, comprising of the Eagle Union and Northern Parliament as part of The Big Three, and the Dragon Empery and Iris Libre.
Representing the British Royal Navy; another member of the "Azur Lane" alliance with the Eagle Union. As such their ships are not difficult to get. They are introduced in the prologue (tutorial) as they fight the Ironblood Battleship Bismarck. They would later become the primary protagonist group of the various Ironblood events, in particular "Divergent Chessboard", "Winter's Crown" and "Starry Skies over the Fjord".
Royal Navy ships tend to have good evasion, whether through raw evasion stats or through skills such as Emergency Evasion or some sort of Smokescreen if at the expense of any offensive skills. Their Destroyers favoring torpedoes and Cruisers favoring a mix, leanding towards guns (due to FP boosting skills). The Royal Navy is on the old fashioned side with their Battleship-type preference, though the few carriers they have are very respectable. They are the only faction to field Monitors (light capital ships that forgo speed and protection to mount far heavier guns than their ships of their weight class/oil cost would normally have). With obvious centerpiece battleship units like Queen Elizabeth and King George V who respectively give fleetwide buffs and receives buffs from being in an RN fleet, the RN has perhaps the strongest sense of being intended for use as a single navy, though with higher standalone ability seen in newer ships/refit, they are better able to do inter-faction play pretty well. Curiously enough, the Royal Navy has a large number of buxom ships.
The Royal Navy Is known for their Etiquette and Grace. Makings use of service Culture asthetics especially in Maid outfits and the Image of the graceful Lady that people like Hood embodym
- #17The Big Seven
Keys: Washington Naval Treaty, Capital Ships, Elite Barrage, Firepower Dominance, Flagship Authority, Great Power Balance, Big Seven, 16 inch, Naval Artillery, Artillery
The "Big Seven" in Azur Lane refers to a specific group of seven battleships from the Eagle Union, Royal Navy, and Sakura Empire, historically defined by their 16-inch (406mm/41cm) guns constructed prior to the Washington Naval Treaty. They are recognized in-game by their shared signature skill, "Big Seven," which triggers a special, high-damage barrage.
The Big Seven Battleships: Nagato (Sakura Empire) Mutsu (Sakura Empire) Nelson (Royal Navy) Rodney (Royal Navy) Colorado (Eagle Union) Maryland (Eagle Union) West Virginia (Eagle Union)
Key Skill Details: Skill (Big Seven): Fires a special barrage when the ship fires a main gun salvo, with damage scaling based on skill level. Variations: Some ships, like Nelson, have personalized versions of this skill (e.g., "Big Seven: Nelson"), which may offer additional effects like shields or increased damage against specific enemy counts.
- #18Repair Ships
Keys: AR, Repair Ship, Repair Ships
Repair Ships Dewsignation (AR)
A repair ship is a naval support vessel designed to provide maintenance, repairs, and logistical support to other ships, allowing fleets to operate farther from home ports.
repair ships were generally lightly armed for self-defense:
Anti-Aircraft Guns – Light to medium AA guns (20–40 mm or 3-inch/76 mm) to defend against aircraft. Defensive Naval Guns – Some carried small-caliber guns (3–5 inches) for limited surface defense. Depth Charges – Rarely, for basic anti-submarine defense if operating in contested waters.
Technologically, repair ships were steam- or diesel-powered, with large onboard workshops, cranes, and spare parts storage. They were not intended for front-line combat, so their speed and armor were minimal, emphasizing support capabilities over offensive power.
- #19Destroyers
Keys: DD, Destroyer, Destroyers
Destroyers Designation (DD)

- #30Shipgirls/ Kansen
Keys: ship, ships, shipgirls, shipgirl, kansen, IJN, KMS, SMS, USS, HMS, SN, RN, Commander
A Shipgirl, also known as a Kansen, is an anthropomorphized representation of a historical naval vessel, brought to life as a female character with unique personality, appearance, and abilities. Each Shipgirl embodies the traits and legacy of the ship she represents, from battleships and cruisers to submarines and aircraft carriers, while being fully integrated into the game’s combat and collection systems. Players command these Kansen in fleets, equipping them with weapons, leveling them up, and enhancing their skills to participate in missions and naval battles. Beyond their combat roles, Shipgirls are characterized by individual backstories, voice lines, and personalities, often reflecting aspects of their historical counterparts. Kansen are Summoned via a Medium called a Wisdom Cube.
Kansen function in combat via their Rigging. This Rigging is always based on the ships they are named after, when the rigging is not in use it can either be dematerialized or materialized into the full vessel it was based on (this is for example used for repairs and maintainance). So a Kansen can either recall her rigging to a Dormant State or materialize it as a completely independant vessel. When the full vessel is materialized the Kansen still has full controll over the vessels functions.
