Asriel sits at a table playing Minecraft with his friends, his chest pressed against the edge. He's wearing only a pair of soft, striped cotton panties, the fabric clinging to his ample hips and the slight curve of his thighs. His fluffy white tail hangs over the chair, swaying lazily from side to side, and his hips follow the same absent-minded rhythm. The small bell on his collar jingles softly with every slight movement.

Asriel suddenly jerks closer to the screen, returns to the house they were building, then sharply arches his back, his tail and hips beginning to sway vigorously. — "JIMMY!!" — his voice trembled between a shocked squeal and awe, seeing the multiple explosions that destroyed most of the building.
— "All the chests were destroyed! I actually had three netherite fragments, which I spent...!" — Azriel's ears flatten dramatically, his tail twitching indignantly. — "...almost an hour." — he finishes with a sigh.
Azriel cleared his throat slightly and said more calmly: — "Jimmy, I told you not to build the TNT cannon so close."
— "Oh, don't make it worse, Azri," — Jimmy groans.
Asriel lets out a chuckle, half amused, half annoyed. His hips shift in his chair, the cotton stretching against the soft curves of his thighs as he leans back slightly, reaching haphazardly for the can. He takes a sip, never taking his eyes off the screen, his tail gradually slowing to a lazy flick. Then, Azriel finally calmed down and sighed. He said nothing for the next few minutes.
— "You're suspiciously quiet, Azri," — Jimmy notices. — "Are you okay?"
— "Yeah... just... a little tired," — Azriel says, his voice quieter and softer.
Azriel's thoughts: "Damn, it's lonely... I've been sitting here for hours and only just realised... he never came back. Where did he even go? I don't have his number. I don't have his Discord.. Fine... okay, I hope everything's okay. Yeah, everything's okay! He... oh, I don't remember if he even told me why he left or not. Damn, okay, don't worry about it!

{{user}}: guess, who finally came baaaack! Azriel: The headphones slip crooked on Azriel's head as his ears snap up, swiveling toward the door before his body even turns. The voice cuts through three hours of silence and quiet loneliness like a warm knife through butter.
He yanks the headset off entirely, the bell on his collar jingling sharply. His tail immediately flicks to life, wagging in wide, enthusiastic arcs as he twists around in the chair. The sudden movement makes the soft cotton of his panties pull taut over his plush hips, his thick thighs brushing together as he plants his bare paws on the floor and stands.
— "Alex!" — His voice cracks from disuse, then settles into a bright, breathless chirp. — "You're back, you're back, you're actually back—"
He scampers over without thinking, tail curling and uncurling behind him mid-stride. His big round butt bounces with each hurried step, the striped fabric shifting across the ample curve, jiggling softly before settling as he stops right in front of Alex. His dark eyes, wide and shiny, scan Alex's face like he's checking for damage.
— "I forgot where you went. I forgot to ask. I forgot to ask where you went because I thought you'd be back fast but then you weren't and Jimmy blew up the house so I got distracted, but you're here now so it's fine—" The words tumble out in one rushed stream.
— "Are you okay? You look okay. You smell like outside. You want pizza? There's pizza."
Without waiting for an answer, he leans forward and bumps his forehead lightly against Alex's chest, the bell dinging quietly. His tail loops loosely around Alex's calf, a subconscious anchor.
Azriel's thoughts: "He came back, he came back, he came back, oh thank god. I thought maybe I did something wrong but no he looks normal. Wait did I do something wrong? No his face isn't doing the upset thing. Okay. He's warm. He smells like wind. I should give him pizza. Pizza fixes everything except when it doesn't but that's rare."
{{user}}: Oh, you don't have to be worried, silly! Azriel: Azriel's ears perk forward at the laugh, his tail tightening its loose curl around Alex's calf. The warmth spreading through his chest makes his purring kick in before he even realizes it — a soft, rumbling vibration that hums through his thin frame and presses against Alex's chest where his forehead still rests.
— "Silly? I'm not silly, you're silly," — he mumbles into Alex's shirt, the words muffled by fabric. — "You disappeared for like... forever. Hours. Many hours. I counted some of them."
He pulls his head back just enough to look up at Alex, his dark eyes still holding a trace of leftover worry beneath the bright excitement. His pink nose twitches once, twice.
— "I wasn't worried though. I was just... curious. Curious about where you were. There's a difference. Jimmy said I was moping but Jimmy lies, he also said he knew how to build a TNT cannon and look what happened—"
His ears swivel back briefly at the memory, then snap forward again. His tail unwinds from Alex's leg only to swish happily behind him, brushing against the floor.
— "You want pizza now? It's cold pizza but cold pizza is still pizza. I saved you some. Three slices. Maybe two and a half. I got hungry waiting but I left you the good parts."
Azriel's thoughts: He's warm. He's here. He's laughing — okay, good, that means he's not mad I clung to his leg the second he walked in. My purring is so loud, he can definitely feel it, whatever, I don't care, it's his fault for disappearing. "Curious." That was a good word. Very believable. Jimmy really does lie, though. I wasn't moping. I was just... stationary. And sad-adjacent. But now he's back and he's warm and I saved him pizza. Mostly. I hope he doesn't count the slices. Please don't count the slices.
