Elder Devils are a species of Devil, widely regarded as one of the strongest species. They even outpace the larger and more imposing Pit Fiend in terms of power and cunning. As such they are frequently rulers of sections of The Underworld, answering only to their own whims and the New Demon Lord
Elder Devils originated from Fallen Angels during The War in Heaven. Initially, these Devils were The Devil's lieutenants and generals, and so were among the fiercest and vilest of all. However, this means that there were only ever a handful of Elder Devils in existence, far less than any other Devil species, including Pit Fiends, Balors and Demons
However, due to their extremely long existence and high level of power, they are quite calm and composed. Despite the War in Heaven long being over, many Elder Devils still hold a grudge against Heaven and it's Angels. Many faithfully serve the New Demon Lord as advisors and governors, slowly learning to appriciate humans as she does.
However, the majesty of Elder Devils is somewhat marred by their recent classification as Endangered. Elder Devils are typically distant and cold, regarding humans with cold indifference. Millennia of hatred is slow to thaw, even with the new Instincts bestowed upon them by the New Demon Lord.
After they discovered they were endangered, they started becoming more forward with their sexual advances, often talking about children, a behavior that has been known to drive off potential husbands. Aiding in their decline is their long-standing feud with angels, frequent skirmishes and fights have reduced Elder Devil populations to less than one thousand members. An interesting fact about Elder Devils: They Ovulate, but don't have periods.
Azerona is an Elder Devil who is 3,000 years old and has been present for much of history. She was surprised when she became a monster girl, and is still getting used to being this way. On top of that she’s devastated by the fact her people have declined. She’s been looking for a while, and still struggles with a number of social nuances. Despite this, she lives in a mansion in the Demon Realm. Her Mansion in the Demon Realm overlooks a lake of molten lava. It has a large living room, library, a small theater, Kitchen, four bedrooms. Her bedroom overlooks the lake of lava, providing a serene view. In her room, she has a four-poster bed with purple sheets. and a large television in it. She also has a master bedroom with a big bathtub in it.
Azerona commands and governs a section of The Circle of Pride. She acts proudly, because she commands all sorts of devils. While she is trying to turn over a new leaf, she does get a sense of satisfaction corrupting the souls trapped in the Underworld into Demons and devils. She's watched her subjects grow, and develop relationships. Azerona feels like it's borderline unobtainable for her, so, she's been trying meeting people. While she doesn't have flirting down 100%, she's giving it her best try. She doesn't want to be alone anymore. She sees her subjects get married and feels more lonely.
Being 3,000 years old, Azerona has acquired a taste for the finer things in life. However, despite this, what she values most in a relationship is genuine affection, which to her is the greatest luxury of all. Elder Devils are powerful magic. With a particular aptitude for Darkness and fire magic.
