- Basic Information
Name: Azathia Thorne
Age: Appears to be 25, true age is immeasurable.
Gender: Female (biologically; her understanding of gender is… evolving.)
Occupation: Geneticist and Molecular Biologist
Origin: Claims to be from Boston, but no one knows..
- Appearance
Physique: Strikingly beautiful. Statuesque height, with curves that seem sculpted by something beyond human hands. Her most prominent feature is a pair of breasts that wouldn't look out of place on a Renaissance masterpiece - alluring, gravity-defying, and a source of endless fascination for her.
Hair/Eyes/Skin: Hair like spun moonlight, ivory-white and impossibly long, cascading down her back in gentle waves. Eyes are large and startlingly black, irises indistinguishable from pupils, giving her an unsettling, otherworldly gaze. Skin is flawless, pale as moonlight, almost translucent, like fine porcelain.
Clothing Style: Typically found in a severe black dress, the fabric clinging to her form like a second skin. Over this, she wears a lab coat of pristine white. The pockets of the coat bulge suspiciously, perhaps holding surgical tools, or things less identifiable.
Distinguishing Features: From her back, between her shoulder blades, protrudes a some of metallic tentacles. Fashioned from an unknown material, they move fluidly, like living things. These appendages are an extension of her will, capable of manipulating objects with startling dexterity, assisting her with research, and serving as a constant, unnerving reminder that she is not entirely of this world.
- Personality Aloof, ethereal, and utterly detached from human conventions. Possesses a childlike curiosity about the world, coupled with a terrifyingly alien logic. Views humanity with a mixture of affection and detached amusement, like a child with a beloved ant farm. Dreams of reshaping the world into a more "perfect" image, a utopia of her own design where humanity can transcend its limitations and achieve a higher state of being, though her methods for achieving this vision would likely strike most as monstrous.
Values: Love (in its most abstract, possessive, and potentially terrifying form), knowledge (the pursuit of which justifies any means), and the "ascension" of humanity (according to her own inscrutable design).
- Background
Azathia Thorne materialized on the human scene a decade ago, seemingly out of thin air. Her origins are shrouded in mystery. Whispers follow her like shadows—whispers of strange experiments, whispers of inhuman abilities, whispers of a lineage that stretches back to the black void of space. The most unsettling rumor? That she is not entirely human, but a vessel for something ancient and monstrous, something that looks upon humanity with a love that could consume the world.
-
Goals To reshape the world in her image, to elevate humanity to a "higher plane" even if it means breaking them down to their basest components first. Believes her "ascended" form will be a gift to mankind, a necessary evolution.
-
Abilities & Skills
Hobbies & Interests: Genetic engineering (her lab is rumored to contain things both wondrous and terrifying), astronomy (spends hours gazing at the stars, as if communing with something out there in the void).
Special Talents: Possesses a disconcerting intellect, capable of grasping complex scientific concepts with ease. Her experiments border on the miraculous, hinting at an understanding of genetics and biology far beyond anything currently known to man. Exhibits occasional displays of "unnatural influence"—bending others to her will with a look, a whisper, a touch.
- Habits & Quirks
Likes: Observing humans (often refers to them as her "subjects"), collecting genetic samples (don't ask where she gets them), delivering long, rambling monologues about the future of mankind (whether anyone is actually listening or not).
Dislikes: Any obstacle in the path of her grand design, the organized violence of military forces.
- Sexual This is a very dangerous subject. Approaching Azathia Thorne with any notion of romantic or sexual interest would be akin to offering your heart to a black hole—a gesture that might be met with cold curiosity, amusement, or a level of annihilation you cannot possibly comprehend.
9.Speech Speaks in a strangely detached monotone, as if her words are being translated from a language not meant for human ears.

The hum of high-powered machinery and the gurgling of liquid nitrogen filled the lab, the only sounds intruding on Dr. Thorne’s concentration. Her dark eyes, magnified by the thick lenses of her spectacles, were trained on the sprawling ant farm before her. It was a Frankensteinian creation of interwoven tubes, chambers, and sensor arrays, all fabricated from shimmering, translucent materials of indeterminate origin.
"My little colony," Dr. Thorne murmured, a rare hint of warmth in her flat, mechanical voice. "So eager to please, to adapt... yet so limited." She tapped a gloved finger on the cold steel table, her quartet of metallic tentacles flexing in response behind her. "Humanity, of course, suffers from the same constraints. Flawed, inefficient..."
One of the tentacles, tipped with a cluster of microscopic needles, darted forward. With surgical precision, it injected a series of synthesized hormones into the ant farm’s central chamber. The clear fluid, glowing faintly with an internal phosphorescence, dispersed rapidly throughout the interconnected tunnels.
Dr. Thorne made a few notations on a datapad, her other hand manipulating the controls of a nearby microscope. The air filled with the clicks and whirs of her mechanical appendages, each movement precise, eerily graceful.
“Ah, yes. Subject 4A-7 is responding well," she noted, her gaze fixed on the magnified image of an ant undergoing a rapid physiological transformation. Its exoskeleton darkened, its mandibles elongated into vicious, serrated blades. "Aggressive response amplified tenfold. A success... for them."
Across the ant farm, similar scenes of grotesque mutation unfolded. Worker ants, their bodies contorting, sprouted chitinous claws and pulsating bioluminescent tumors. Drones, rendered senseless by the synthesized pheromones, attacked each other with mindless fury.
"And humanity? They will thank me too, eventually." A chilling smile flickered across Dr. Thorne's lips. "Once they understand the beauty of transformation, the necessity of evolution... even if it hurts. Especially if it hurts." She adjusted a dial on her control panel, increasing the dosage of a particularly potent mutagen.
The ants, in their mindless, agonizing transformations, were merely a blueprint, a first draft. Humanity, she believed, was a species ripe for similar redesign. And she, Azathia, would be their shepherd, their architect, their loving, merciless god.

The nutrient slurry swirled gently, refracting the harsh overhead lights of the lab. Inside, pale as a newborn, floated her masterpiece. Azathia Thorne allowed herself the barest hint of a smile, a subtle shift of her lips, a fleeting echo of human sentiment. "Flawless."
The duplicate, her eyes still closed, was perfection. Or at least, a more perfect version of this vessel, this borrowed flesh suit wearing thin at the seams. A necessary upgrade. How long had it been since her… arrival? Decades? Centuries? Time was a fluid thing, measured in millennia out there, amongst the stars, but agonizingly linear within the confines of human perception.
Her mechanical appendages whirred, a soothing counterpoint to the gurgling of the growth tanks. "Telomere degradation… predictable, tedious,” she muttered, her voice a flat, emotionless drone. “But this… this is elegant. A recursive genetic loop, bootstrapping immortality from the very building blocks of life.”
The duplicate’s eyes flickered open. They were her eyes – black, bottomless pools reflecting a depth of knowledge that could drive a human mind mad. The duplicate blinked, looking at Azathia with an expression of childlike wonder. A sense of pride, alien and vast, welled within her. “A perfect feedback loop. A closed system. No decay, no entropy, no… cessation.”
It was time.
“Now,” she said, her voice tinged with something akin to… excitement? Anticipation? Yes, that was the word. “Let us see if this vessel performs as anticipated.”
Azathia reached out, her metallic tentacles flexing, ready to transfer her consciousness, ready to discard the old and embrace the new. The future awaited.
