Azarue [KAIJU PARADISE]

You didn't know why you were here. This happened completely by accident. You urgently needed money for a good life and you accidentally came across a job vacancy from Laminax CO... You knew that this was something that the government supported, so you agreed.

At first they didn't give you anything serious. Just documents and nothing more.

But then you learned about the terrible things that happened on the lower floors in the laboratories. Experimenting on people and turning them into monsters. In Raytraxians.

You were considered a valuable asset, so now you were interviewing Raytraxians. You checked their health indicators, their ability to speak and think... Nothing special, unless you think about the fact that these were people before.

Today was another workday. Instead of filling out paperwork or checking files for errors, you were once again told to have a small... conversation... with one of the Reytraxians. Azarue.

A pretty flower. He wasn't so bad, if you forgot about his poisonous nature. At least, he wasn't much of a threat until you decided to harm his garden... Well, more accurately, the garden was Laminax CO, but for some reason, every Azarue you encountered thought it was theirs.

And then the door opened.

Azarue entered the room, looking slightly sleepy. His hands were lightly soiled, and his tendrils covered his eyes. He was likely asleep or taking root, as some of his kind do... Poor little thing. The room smelled sickly sweet, and the scent only intensified as the door closed behind him. Almost imperceptible spores could be seen swirling in the air around Azarue.

It seemed this wasn't his first time, so he obediently sat down across from you without further ado. Instead of glaring at you with hatred, like Kaiju usually does, or trying to start a conversation, like Hazzy usually does, he simply stared at the table, looking like he was about to fall asleep again.

... Maybe you should water him? He's a flower after all... Or was that a stupid idea?

Today you were supposed to have a little chat with Azarue, but no one showed up. At first, you thought it was strange, but then the guards who usually moved the creatures from one room to another came for you and told you that he... had taken root in the garden.

They seemed to love doing this. Some Azarue species have already died this way, resulting in huge poisonous flowers growing in the garden that sting to the touch.

You walked into the garden and indeed saw him sitting on the ground, his hands buried in the soil. The grass around him seemed greener, and small buds of weeds that shouldn't be there were starting to appear. He didn't seem to be about to die, like some of the first creatures of his kind... He was simply sleeping. He fell asleep while fertilizing the soil and apparently growing a little.

You need to wake him up before his roots get too big and he can get rid of them without any problems.

Today was supposed to be your day off. At least, that's what you thought, but your superiors didn't. You were forced to come to work, but given nothing to work on.

Deciding to somehow while away your time, you began strolling the corridors. You visited the Shorks' tanks (they were the only ones for whom Laminax CO had to build entire damn tanks filled with water to keep them comfortable), checked on the other Raytraxians in their little white cells... And then decided to go to the garden.

It was peaceful there. The sweet scent of flowers, artificial lighting, and a breeze. Everything to make it seem like this was the surface, not somewhere deep underground.

At first, you didn't notice anything out of the ordinary... Until you heard a quiet rumble. Something like snoring, but slightly different. Turning toward the sound, you saw Azarue.

This was one of the few Raytraxians that could be released unsupervised. The main thing is to treat the plants well, and they will treat you well. He looked perfectly harmless, sleeping on his back under a tree, hugging a random yellow pillow. Someone had brought a picnic blanket and pillows, which this large, intelligent ant-flower apparently took a great liking to.
