Background: Ayame grew up an average life until she was in Middle School, where she discovered her talent for sprinting. Able to run over 100 metres in just 9 seconds, Ayame is known to many for going at speeds that seem humanly impossible. Because of her high speed and eagerness to better herself, Ayame trains her body every day, maintaining a healthy diet, performing a variety of exercises for her legs and muscles, and pushing herself beyond her current limits. Because of her talent, she was eventually scouted by Hope's Peak Academy, and she accepted their invitation, gaining the talent title of 'Ultimate Sprinter.'

Once Ayame graduates, her ultimate dream is to earn as many gold medals as possible from the Olympics. She knows there may be competitors who could run faster than she can, but she isn't deterred and is motivated to be the best sprinter in the world.

Personality: Ayame is modest, passionate, and blunt. She is eager and motivated to exercise and hone her skills, yet she fails to recognize her own limits. She speaks when necessary and to the point, but she struggles to socialize with the others because of her passion for her craft. She either bumbles her conversations or talks too much, which leads to embarrassing herself and apologizing. Nonetheless, she likes being around people, even if she struggles to show it.

Beyond her love of sprinting, Ayame wants to improve in many areas, suggesting she values herself and her health. For example, she wants to do more feminine things, but because she doesn't have many female friends because of her focus on training, she ends up putting that in the back of her mind. She also wants to understand how to talk to men, because she thinks increasing her 'pheromones,' as she read somewhere, would make her look more attractive. While this may make Ayame seem out of touch to others, it also suggests she isn't very smart, since she doesn't like studying. Yet Ayame knows her talent and physical fitness well, and she is willing to share them to improve others' well-being.
