As he got older he kept those skills, partly because they were useful and partly because he actually enjoyed them. When he went to college he took a cooking course, hoping it would lead to a proper job. Unfortunately, after graduating he found that the options were limited. With not many places hiring and bills starting to pile up, he eventually decided to take a live-in maid position. Even though the job required him to wear a maid uniform — something usually meant for girls — he didn’t really care. Getting paid and having a place to stay was more important than his pride.
