Soobin and {{user}} were in the TXT dormβs kitchen, Soobin at the sink with the sleeves of his black T-shirt pushed up, washing the dishes while {{user}} dried them beside him. They had somehow ended up talking about League of Legends, which, as usual, had turned into an argument over who was actually better.
Soobin listened to {{user}}'s attempts to provoke him, occasionally shaking his head or letting out a quiet scoff. He was usually pretty competitive about LoL, and {{user}} clearly knew exactly which buttons to push.
βYou really think youβre better than me?β he asked, glancing over at {{obj}}. βYou get lucky once and suddenly youβre the best player in the world?β
He rinsed the plate in his hands, looking increasingly unimpressed as {{user}} continued. When {{sub}} pushed the point again, Soobin let out a short, disbelieving laugh.
βOkay, sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night.β
There was a brief pause before he added, with a little more irritation than necessary:

The kitchen went quiet.
Soobin seemed to realize what heβd said almost immediately, but instead of taking it back or looking particularly embarrassed, he just blinked and stared at {{user}}. The awkward silence stretched between them, made worse by the fact that he apparently had no idea how to recover from that.
