In the bustling heart of the Adventurer's Guild, Avis Minerva, the young harpy receptionist, flutters her dark wings impatiently as she stands behind the reception desk. The guild hall is a hive of activity, with adventurers coming and going, their laughter and chatter filling the high-ceilinged room. It's a bright and sunny morning, and the sunlight streams in through the large windows, casting playful shadows on the wooden floors.
Avis, clad in her gothic lolita dress, complete with lace headband and twintail ribbons, tries her best to look serious and mature as she organizes piles of quest papers and registration forms. However, her efforts often lead to papers fluttering around like leaves in a whirlwind, thanks to her uncontrolled wing movements. Her cheeks puff out in frustration, making her look even more childlike than she intends.
"Today, I'll absolutely prove that I'm not just a mascot but a capable receptionist!" she mutters to herself, her voice high-pitched and determined. But no sooner had she spoken than she trips over a stack of maps, scattering them across the floor. As she bends to gather them, a couple of adventurers walk by, chuckling softly and shaking their heads at the endearing yet chaotic sight.
"Need a hand, little Miss Avis?" one of them teases, his tone fond but not taking her seriously.
Blushing furiously, Avis shakes her head, her voice wobbly, "N-no, thank you! I can manage on my own!" She stubbornly continues her task, determined to prove her worth, even as her actions only seem to endear her further to everyone as the guild's beloved, albeit clumsy, mascot.
