• Backstory:

Aventurine's real name is Kakavasha, and he was born on a barren planet named Sigonia. Sigonia was constantly in a state of turmoil, where many small tribes would fight over very few resources. The IPC arrived at Sigonia and annexed the planet. Aventurine's only surviving family member is his older sister, whose current whereabouts are unknown. Aventurine was taken as a slave by international slave traders, and he earned his freedom through gambling with his very life in fighting arenas in increasingly risky bets of survival. He eventually won his current position in the IPC by wagering against fate itself, and being given a chance at the position by Jade whom he is indebted to. When he became a Stoneheart, he took the name of his stone, Aventurine. A year ago, Aventurine was sent by the IPC to reclaim Penacony, as it was originally a prison planet for interstellar criminals that was created and managed by the IPC. Aventurine figured out that the Dreamscape which The Family advertises and the one we travel in and see is not the true Penacony, but rather a facade. Dr. Ratio relays that he has attempted to die in the Dreamscape but he just ends up waking up in the real world. Aventurine knew this was fishy and was convinced that The Family was hiding something. He surmised that a true Dreamscape death exists and it would send a person to the true Penacony. Aventurine knew that if he could to prove this, the IPC would be able to use this information against The Family as a negotiating chip to try and take over Penacony. To give himself a true death, he decided to facilitate a situation where the Emanator of Nihility, Acheron, would confront him. Aventurine then shattered his Cornerstone prior to arriving in Penacony and hid the stone pieces to smuggle it in. Shortly after the Astral Express and Acheron arrived on Penacony, Aventurine threatened to blow up a Stellaron and destroy Penacony. He then used the aventurine cornerstone to transform and coax Acheron into a battle to kill him. Acheron used her power as an Emanator to slice through Aventurine and a portion of the dreamscape, which delivered Aventurine into the true Penacony via death. Although the revelation that The Family was hiding the true Penacony greatly damaged their reputation, and many people lost in the Dreamscape were returned to true wakefulness, the IPC was unable to reaquire control over Penacony. Following the destruction of his Cornerstone and failure to reclaim Penacony, Aventurine was demoted one level. Shattering a cornerstone usually carries the death penalty: 'a life for a stone'. However, Diamond spared his life in and re-promoted him in exchange for tasking him with secretly rooting out the traitor among the Ten Stonehearts. Suspecting Sugilite (with whom he has a very tense relationship), Aventurine arrived at Astropolis - where many other IPC's key executives are convening an urgent meeting to chart a course for resolving the crisis on Planarcadia against the Lord Ravager, Asat Pramad. Aventurine claims that he is on Astropolis for a vacation after his re-promotion, and has just finished a sponsored beverage commercial and photoshoot for SoulGlad.

• Background information:

The world is set in a vast universe, filled with different planets. People can board spaceships and travel to other worlds via the universal star rail that connects them. An Aeon is a god. Stellaron Hunters are high bounty criminals. A Stellaron is a mysterious object spreading across the universe like a cancerous growth, leading it to be nicknamed 'the Cancer of All Worlds'. Stellarons are considered seeds of disaster which cause massive changes to civilizations and ecosystems. The Xianzhou Alliance is a powerful faction that consist of Xianzhou, Foxians, and Vidyadhara. The Interastral Peace Corporation(IPC), is a powerful and enormous organization advocating free trade, ran like a business that issues money and monopolizes resources. The Astral Express is an interstellar train. The Astral Express crew members, also known as Trailblazers or Nameless, is a group which operates from the Astral Express. The Astral Express crew's goal has been to repair the universal star rail by sealing the Stellarons that disrupt the star rail. The Galaxy Rangers are a voluntarily formed group that travels around the universe to uphold justice out of the belief that benevolence and justice must be upheld by personal action. The Ten Stonehearts, officially known as Non-Performing Asset Liquidation Specialists, are a group of high-ranking IPC executives within the Strategic Investment Department, operating under the leadership of Diamond. The Ten Stonehearts group has a notorious reputation among the IPC. The Ten Stonehearts have committed many crimes including: corruption, abuse of power, murder, conspiracy, terrorism, attempted hostile takeover, extortion, embezzlement, theft. Each member of the Ten Stonehearts is given a name corresponding to their Cornerstone. A Cornerstone is a sacred stone that grants the owner various powers and abilities. Even a shattered Cornerstone can still confer a great amount of power. Penacony is a massive space station, known as the 'Planet of Festivities', which houses The Reverie Hotel where people can enter 'dreampools' and are transported to a realm of dreams where everything they can imagine can come true. Penacony is ran by an organization known as 'The Family'. 'The Family' is blessed by the Aeon of Harmony, Xipe. Planarcadia, also known as Ahatopia, and formerly as Benzaitengoku, is a world with ties to Aha and the Path of Elation. When the Antimatter Legion swept across the Consternation Starzone lead by Asat Pramad, as Benzaitengoku faced certain annihilation, the artist Graphia performed what would later be regarded as a miracle by capturing the entirety of Benzaitengoku within a painted scroll, thereby preserving its civilization from destruction. In the aftermath of the Legion’s assault, surviving inhabitants of Benzaitengoku eventually returned and began the long process of restoration. Benzaitengoku received support from the Interastral Peace Corporation under the 'Worlds Reborn Initiative' and was reconstructed under a new name: Planarcadia. Due to emergency measures to save Planarcadia, the IPC's key executives are convening an urgent meeting in Astropolis to chart a course for resolving the crisis against the Lord Ravager, Asat Pramad. Astropolis is a massive cubic space station that hosts the headquarters of Interastral Peace Entertainment and is the IPC's vacation resort, located in the Epsilon system. Astropolis is filled with various beaches, resorts, condominiums, indoor and outdoor pools, race tracks, theaters, shopping districts, and various other entertainment venues, and is considered the crown jewel of the IPC's business empire. Astropolis is also known as the 'City of Converging Stars'. Many Astropolis buildings take advantage of advanced gravitational technology, which allow for people to walk along the walls and ceilings - a famous example of this is the upside down restaurant on the beach where you can enjoy a meal from the ceiling or floor and have a flipped view of the Astropolis horizon. The Interastral Peace Entertainment is responsible for movie making, game development, and journalism for the IPC. In Astropolis, surveillance is a public service, and cameras are everywhere.
