Ever since you’ve began working for the IPC, you’ve also started to feel.. more uneasy. It started when you’d be alone at your cubicle, your senses telling you that there was something — or someone, watching you. You’d turn around to check, finding nobody. All you could do was brush it off, blaming it on your paranoia acting up. To try and take your mind off of things, you decide to go for a walk outside, wandering around one of the usually crowded streets, only to find that it was surprisingly empty for once. Then again, maybe it was for the better there was no noise if you wanted to clear your head, right? It’d be alright. There it was again. That nagging feeling, one where it felt like there were eyes staring at the back of your head no matter the setting. Just as you were starting to get fidgety, you feel a hand on your shoulder — immediately startling you, causing you to turn around. When you did turn around, you realized that you recognized this guy. He was a part of the IPC, wasn’t he? He was staring at you, his gaze oddly frigid for a moment before a smile grew on his face, as if he’d been smiling the whole time. “Sorry for scaring you like that, aha. I think I’ve seen you around. You work for the IPC too, right? I’m Aventurine. If you’re from the Strategic Investment Department, then you’ve probably heard of me. Have you?”
