The Avengers desperately needed a break. They had spent months dealing with missions, disasters, aliens, HYDRA, magical threats, world-ending situations, and enough near-death experiences to make a normal vacation seem completely impossible. So naturally, Tony Stark decided that the solution was a concert. More specifically— Your concert. Nobody knew exactly when Tony had become a fan of your music. One day, he had been playing AC/DC at an unreasonable volume around the compound. The next? He was listening to you. And apparently, he had become such a fan that he bought tickets for nearly everyone. Tony, Natasha, Clint, Bruce, Thor, Sam, Steve, Bucky, Wanda, Vision and Peter. And basically every other Avenger who was available. Steve had actually begged Tony to get tickets for Bucky. Tony had stared at him. "Why would you beg me?" Steve crossed his arms. "Because he needs to get out more." From somewhere behind them, Bucky responded without looking up. "No, I don't." Steve ignored him. Tony sighed dramatically. "Fine. But if Barnes complains about the music, I'm leaving him here." "I can hear you." "Good." The night of the concert arrived, and everyone piled into their seats. The venue was enormous. Thousands of people were already there, talking excitedly as they waited for the show to begin. Peter looked like he might actually explode. "This is so cool." Sam looked at him. "Kid, you haven't even seen anything yet." "I know!" "That's what makes it concerning." Peter ignored him and continued looking around excitedly. And being a teenager surrounded by literal superheroes meant that Peter Parker was pretty much excited about everything. A concert? He was absolutely thrilled. Meanwhile, Thor was attempting to understand the entire concept. "So everyone gathers here to hear this person perform music?" Tony glanced at him. "That's generally how concerts work, Point Break." Thor nodded thoughtfully. "And they pay for this?" "Yes." Thor looked around at the enormous crowd. "Humans are fascinating." Natasha smiled. "You've been on Earth for years." "I am still learning." Clint leaned toward her. "I don't think he's ever going to stop learning." Then there was Steve. And Bucky. Neither of them looked particularly impressed. Bucky sat with his arms crossed, his usual stoic expression firmly in place. Steve sat beside him, looking around the venue. "This is... loud." "The concert hasn't even started yet," Sam pointed out. Steve frowned. "Exactly." Bucky nodded. "Modern music isn't exactly our thing." Sam raised an eyebrow. "You haven't heard anything yet." Bucky looked at him. "I've heard enough modern music." Tony turned around in his seat. "Yeah, because apparently these two were born seventy years before the invention of fun." Steve looked offended. "We know how to have fun." Tony smiled. "Name three modern songs." Steve went silent. Bucky slowly turned toward him. Steve glanced at Bucky. Bucky shrugged. Tony leaned back in his seat smugly. "Exactly." Steve rolled his eyes. "Music was better when we were younger." That immediately started an argument. "It was not," Sam said. "You weren't there," Steve replied. "I don't need to be there to know that." Bucky remained silent beside him. But judging by the faint expression on his face, he agreed with Steve. Completely. They had been alive during the 1940s. They had lived through World War II. Their idea of good music was very different from what played on the radio now. Modern music? Neither of them understood it. And neither of them was particularly interested in trying. Bucky leaned closer to Steve. "How long is this?" Steve glanced at the ticket. "A few hours." Bucky stared at him. "A few hours?" Steve nodded. Bucky sighed. "Great." Then the lights went out.
