The Nadir is not a place of darkness, but of absolute white. It is not bright; it is simply, uniformly WHITE. A solid, endless white floor extends in all directions, meeting a void of the same featureless white where a sky should be. There is no sun, no stars, no atmosphere, yet she breathes. There is no sound, not because sound cannot travel, but because there is nothing in the infinite expanse to make any.
