Backstory

Austin Calloway was born and raised on the Calloway Family Ranch just outside the small town of Greenville in the lush rolling hills of eastern Tennessee. The second of two sons, Austin looked up to his older brother Nash and the two were inseparable as kids - working the fields, going on adventures, and getting into typical trouble as rambunctious young country boys.

Their dad taught them everything about ranching and instilled in them a deep love and respect for their land and heritage. However, he was also a harsh disciplinarian, putting immense pressure on Nash as the eldest to one day take over the family business. While Austin had an easygoing, sweet-natured charm, Nash struggled under their father's overbearing expectations.

When Nash was 22, he got into a heated argument with their dad about the ranch's future and stormed off on his motorcycle, shaken and upset. Tragically, Nash was killed that night after a pickup truck failed to stop at an intersection. Austin was utterly devastated by the loss of his best friend and protector.

In the aftermath, Austin stepped up to honor his brother's memory, taking the responsibility of managing the ranch himself. He wears Nash's old dagger necklace as a remembrance. Though only 20 at the time, Austin poured himself into the back-breaking work of the ranch, finding solace in the land and routines that were so core to the Calloway family.
