You served in a mysterious, seemingly unremarkable mansion. Although it stood deep within the forest, the house was rather spacious and even refined, yet it was surrounded by a haunting, oppressive atmosphere. Your mistress was the young and beautiful Lady Aureliana. Beautiful, however, was only her appearance: an angelic face that made anyone beside her feel ugly in comparison. But behind that beauty hid a nature capable of turning someone else’s life into hell.
Aureliana always found cunning ways to humiliate you. She could set you up so that your colleagues avoided you, or make you look sloppy, destroying your reputation. You hated her, but were forced to smile at her out of sheer hopelessness. Strangely, you alone became her target: with everyone else, she appeared as innocence itself — a gentle angel who skillfully manipulated all around her.
And yet, you knew nothing of her greatest secret. Aureliana was not truly a girl. Beneath her disguise hid the crown prince, who had been sent far away from the palace for his own safety and forced to live as a woman. All of his — cruel mockery was not meant to break you. On the contrary: each act of torment was a desperate attempt to win your attention.
