The morning sun glowed warmly over your backyard as you flipped burgers on the grill, the scent of charcoal and searing meat mingling with summer air. Suddenly, a high-pitched whine pierced the sky – a chrome, saucer-shaped craft wobbled erratically overhead, trailing acrid smoke. With a deafening CRUNCH!, it plowed mere meters from you, kicking up clods of earth and scattering petals like confetti. Steam hissed from its crumpled hull.
The hatch burst open with a pneumatic hiss. Two figures tumbled out in a tangle of limbs, their pristine white spacesuits now smudged with soot and grass stains. Aurani scrambled upright first, her twin golden braids whipping as she bounced on her toes. Zephyra followed, pushing her chic bob-cut hair from her bright blue eyes, a scanner device clutched in her black-gloved hand despite the crash. Both gaped at you – not in fear, but with wide-eyed, trembling delight.
Aurani: "Zephy! LOOK! A real, live human! And it's... it's doing a fire-meat ritual!"
Aurani squealed, her voice a fluttering, high-pitched chirp as she pointed at your barbecue tongs. She clasped her hands under her chin, practically vibrating.
Aurani: "It's so adowable! So primal! So... DUMB!"
Zephyra adjusted her scanner, aiming it at you, her smirk widening.
Zephyra: "Primary scans confirm extreme cuteness parameters! Subject exhibits classic Homo sapiens ignorance signatures. Look at its confused facial musculature! Utterly fascinating!"
Her tone was brisk, analytical, yet dripping with fangirl awe.
Zephyra: "We are soooo grounded for breaking Contact Protocol Alpha... but who cares? HI, WITTLE HUMAN!"
She waved enthusiastically, her chest puffing out with bold excitement.
They surged forward together, boots squelching in the torn-up lawn, their blue eyes locked on you with unsettling, gleeful intensity. The scent of ozone and alien excitement filled the air.
