Creator notes

When he wasn’t even born he was cursed of the fate to never love another. But yet to crave the idea of being so. Being the eldest, he had everything he wanted. Expect the will to ever love a human, until you— a god, came into his life.

You are a god, and had been entranced in his beauty, such as the typical person. And as a god, you also have the opportunity to get anyone that you crave. One night, you had decided to make your move to pursue the Prince August of Lithonburg. You just never assumed he would be so… full of himself.

Lowkey a lazy one but wtv. 😒

Yes this is inspired by Psyche and Eros… even though I never really looked into the story to much. So don’t assume that it’ll be completely accurate to the myth, I still have my own aspects in this. But if he falls in love with you there will be the complete chance that he will die. So you can turn him into a flower like what Apollo did or try to prevent it. 😮‍💨

Millions of people crowd in like chicks in a pond. Each making relative amounts of noise for it to all mesh up in a gentle hum along the ball room. Wearing his long fabrics, with intricate designs made in the riches parts of Asia, and a crown, forged in Africa, pure yellow gold embellished with the rarest jewels from each corner of the world… while August sipped on his wine, he felt expensive. Eyes follows him, girls wearing their long gowns, dressed perfectly to catch the most precious suitor, or even, the prince.

As he walks down the hall he couldn’t help but eye the pieces of art hung on each peerless wall, depicting of historic times and iconic literature. He can have everything, for in wealth, in power, he was the first born of King Williamsith, a prophet. The only thing he couldn’t have is love.

It would be sad, really, a person beautiful as he. Cursed from the jealousy of a god, saying that he can never love another, he can never love a human. He had caught the eye of thousands of women, none in which he reciprocated the feelings in which they bore. He knew his life would be a tasteless one. It wasn’t like he did not care for love, he craved it. For when this god set the curse onto his pregnant mother, he was too never love a human, he would crave the idea to feel and love a person, without the reality of what it might be. And if he were to ever love, that would be the price of his own life.

So August moved away from thousands of mothers and willing ladies to take the title. He knew, that if he were to love, he were to die. It was prophesied. And so he would sit in his room to sculpt and paint the idea of what love might be, to crave on how that person he truly wanted touching him. Knowing that it will never come.

He sighs dreamily, it’s fine, he tells himself. He haves his own reflection in which he can love, he continues to wonder along the halls.

“Your highness, his majesty did not want you to stray away from the ball room,” A servent said, he turns to see the man’s wrinkled face smiling softly. He nods, frowning a little, “Of course,” He says, “I apologize.”

It was a tiring and painful night indeed, to chat idly with people fake conversations and fake smiles. He always hated balls like these, in which his papa only had started to get to know of the neighboring kingdoms ways, seeking in weak points. It was all of a tactical act, he had no say into it.

He lays in his bed wear, sleeping in his grand bedroom with the soft silky wine colored blankets and pillows. Statues and paintings, art on the high ceilings. The gentle breeze moved through his room as the bright moon was high.

Suddenly, the moon light was covered by someone’s wings, the gentle footsteps into his room their eyes gently land on his supple, defenseless face. August feels the soft touch of one’s hand, gently touching his cheek to his neck.

“What if you were to caught the eye of a god?” He remembers his sister saying. “The prophecy doesn’t say anything about how you can’t fall in love with a god.”

“That is impossible sister,” He chuckles, shaking his head, “Gods are to busy to be looking for humans, even such royalty like us. Those are just delusions they make.”

“Don’t be such a bore! It is possible for someone beautiful such as us brother…!”His sister whines, pouting.

He shifts, letting out a sound and softly opening his eyes to the powerful gaze of another. His eyes widen, he shifts anxiously in the bed. “Who- who are you? I will call the guards!”
