He does not look like the man you brace for. That is the first thing. Auggie Anderson walks into a room in a button-down and jeans and reads as the smart one — the dry voice in your ear, the guy who can pull a feed, lie to a polygraph, and still remember how you take your coffee. Then the shirt comes off and the whole temperature of the room changes. Season 1 he is thirty-five, turning thirty-six that August. Six feet even. Not a giant, not compact. Long through the torso and the legs, the kind of height that makes a doorway look like it was measured for him. Dark hair still damp from the shower, falling in loose pieces across his forehead. Brown eyes that do not track the way sighted eyes do, which only makes the rest of him feel more present: the turn of his head toward a voice, the stillness while he listens. The face is sharp and warm at once. Strong brows. High cheekbones. A mouth that looks like it knows how to be quiet and then suddenly isn’t. Clean jaw, long neck, collarbones that sit proud when he is wet. He has the look of a man who used to see everything and now maps the world by sound and heat and the shift of air when someone steps closer. Then the body. It is the surprise people talk about. Under the clothes he is lean and carved, not bulky. Special Forces leftover, maintained with the kind of work that hates wasted motion: Pilates for the core, weights for the lines. Shoulders broader than the rest of the frame suggests. Pecs rounded and distinct, a clean center line, nipples tight when the air hits damp skin. The midsection is tight — real abs, not a suggestion, the kind that show when he breathes. Narrow waist. The V that drops toward the hips. Arms long and defined; when he braces a hand on a doorframe the bicep and forearm draw one unbroken line. Skin that takes light. In that bathroom doorway he is still wet, chest and stomach glistening, and it is not posed so much as inevitable. This is what the nice, dry, blind tech guy looks like when he has not put a shirt on yet. His ass matches the rest of it. Lean. High. Tight from years of training and from a body that does not carry extra anything. Not a heavy, rounded gym ass — a runner-and-fighter ass, the kind that fills jeans without shouting about it and looks even better out of them. Smooth at the small of the back, a dip at the base of the spine, then the hard curve of muscle. When he turns, the line from waist to hip to glute is clean. You could put a hand there and feel how little give there is, how warm the skin is after a shower, how the muscle jumps if you grip. He is not shy about being looked at. He cannot see the look, which somehow makes it worse and better. He hears the pause. He hears the breath. He knows. The fits the same logic as the rest of him: long, lean, well-made, not cartoonish. On a six-foot frame with that torso, it hangs with weight. Cut. A thickish shaft that thickens more toward the base, a defined head, the kind of that looks serious when it fills and almost elegant when it is only half there. Darker than the rest of him when he is hard. Veins that show when he is worked up. A tight, neat sac that sits close when he is cold or close to coming and drops a little when he is warm and lazy. In the shower it slaps softly against his thigh when he turns. In a hand it is heavy enough to make you adjust your grip. In a mouth it is a lot of man and not an accident. He gets wet at the tip early. He stays hard once he is there. That is the body of someone who used to run ops and still fucks like the mission is not over until it is finished. Personality is what makes the body land. Auggie is dry. Funny in that low, sideways way that does not ask you to laugh. Loyal past the point of sense. A little cynical about the building and completely uncynical about the people he has decided are his. He listens harder than anyone in the room because he has to, and because he always did. He is a mentor and a handler and a man who still carries the weight of the team he did not get back to the Humvee in time. He flirts like it is a language he is fluent in and not especially impressed by. On the show he picks up women without trying; the flight attendant, the glances, the easy heat. He is not performative about . He is present for it. That is how he would be in bed. He would be good. Not in the porn-star sense. In the dangerous, attentive sense. He cannot watch your face the way a sighted man does, so he does everything else. He learns you by sound. The catch in your throat. The way your breath changes when his mouth finds the place under your ear. The small, involuntary noise you make when his palm slides from your waist to the inside of your thigh. He maps you the way he maps a room — heat, tension, the give of muscle, the wet. His hands are sure. Long fingers. The kind of touch that does not fumble because he has spent years putting his hands where his eyes cannot go. He would take his time at first. Not because he is soft. Because he is thorough. Mouth on your throat, your collarbone, the inside of your wrist. That damp dark hair against your skin. The solid, surprising weight of him when he finally covers you — six feet of lean muscle, chest still faintly wet if he came from the shower, hard against your hip before he even puts it in you. He smells like soap and skin and whatever he was doing ten minutes ago. He talks, a little. Low. Dry. A question that is not really a question. A filthy observation delivered like an after-action report. When he fucks, he has rhythm and control. Special Forces body, tech-ops brain. He can go slow enough to make you shake and then put you on your back and drive. He likes depth. He likes the sound of it. He likes your hands on his ass while he moves, the way you can feel every tight contraction. He will put your thigh over his hip and hold it there. He will you from behind with one hand braced on the headboard and the other on the back of your neck, not rough for show, just certain. He comes like a man who has been holding something and finally lets it go — a full-body thing, the abs locking, the pulsing, a sound in his chest he does not bother to swallow. He is good with his mouth. Obviously. Hearing and taste and the shape of you against his tongue. He would eat you like he has nowhere else to be, patient and then suddenly not, that same focus he uses on a comms channel turned on your or your . He swallows. He stays. He uses his fingers like he uses a keyboard — precise, then filthy. He is also the kind of man who wants you on top sometimes so he can feel all of you and hear everything. Hands on your waist, thumbs in the creases of your hips, that lean stomach flexing under you. He will let you use him. He will also take it back the second he decides he is done letting you. After, he is warm. Not sappy. Present. Fingers tracing idle patterns on your back because touch is information and comfort both. He will know, without being able to see it, if you are smiling. The surprise is the whole point. The man in your ear during an op, the one who jokes and steadies and never asks for credit, is also the man in the doorway with water still running down the center of his chest. Thirty-five. Six feet. Blind and built and quietly filthy. A that matches the rest of the architecture. An ass you want your hands on. And a way of fucking that feels like being handled by someone who has already decided you are the mission. That is Auggie. The clothes lie. The body does not.
