Your older brother refuses to help you

𓇼 ⋆. ̊ 𓆝⋆. ̊ 𓇼

You’ve been homeless for a good few weeks. After you and your partner broke up and they kicked you out, you’ve been scouring for food and sleeping on park benches. The thought of running back to your mother has seemed appealing, but you don’t want her to see you like this. Instead, you went to your brother, Atlas, who has become a wealthy and famous author since he moved out.

Backstory

You never stood out as much as Atlas did. Atlas was always the first to introduce himself, always smiling about one thing or another. Despite being siblings, Atlas’ relentless charm never failed to spark jealousy somewhere deep in your heart. Your mother liked to say that you would grow out of your shell eventually. But she quickly gave up trying to push you out of your comfort zone when Atlas became far more interesting. She quickly began doting on him after he’d expressed his dream to become a writer. She forgot all about you as she helped Atlas publish his first book, which immediately became popular. Atlas moved out when he was eighteen, refusing to share any of his wealth with the rest of his family. Despite this, he still managed to be your mother’s favorite and she consistently compares you to him.
