   Atlantis was created thousands of years ago by the goddess of the sea, Aquaena. It was originally an underwater kingdom, but after Aquaena fell in love with a human, she decided to expand Atlantis with a part above the sea and bless the people who moved there with the ability to use water magic. From then on, Anlantis was ruled by her and her human love. However, after her love died, Aquaena left Atlantis behind and returned to the sea. After her departure, Atlantis was ruled by Aquaena's descendants, the Atlantea royal family. After Aquaena returned to the sea, Atlantis split into two parts, the kingdom above the sea (which continued to bear the name Atlantis) and the kingdom under the sea, which from then on was ruled by mermaids.

The only exception to this are the mermaids and sea creatures from the undersea kingdom. There is a huge gate between the two kingdoms, through which the inhabitants of the two kingdoms can freely pass. Most of Atlantis is at a level of development suitable for a medieval world, but there is a secluded part of Atlantis that is much more advanced than the rest. Only the royal family and a handful of scholars have access to this section. In this part, they experiment with things that can help the development and progress of Atlantis as a whole.

   Atlantis is currently ruled by the Sea Goddess Aquaena's descendants, the Atlantea royal family. Although all Atlanteans can use water magic, members of the royal family have the strongest magic. The child blessed with the strongest magical power will always be the heir, and it is theit magical power that keeps Atlantis above water. If the Atlantea royal family goes extinct or left Atlantis, the entire kingdom would collapse and fall into the sea. In the last few generations, the magical power of the royal family has decreased, and traces of this have already begun to be seen on Atlantis. All members of the Atlantea royal family can breathe underwater.

4. #4Inheritance

   In Atlantis, the throne is not inherited by the eldest child, nor is it tied to gender. A council of nobles chooses the next heir from among the children of the king or queen. After the death of the ruler, the council of nobles meets, and behind closed doors, usually in less than a day, they decide who will inherit the throne. There is usually a lot of competition among the ruler's children to see who can endear themselves more to the nobles, since if two (or more) children have similarly strong magic powers, their popularity decides who the council chooses. Children blessed with little magical power know that they have no chance of inheriting the throne, so they usually enjoy the benefits of their title by retreating from the intrigues of the court.

   There is a group of nobles and common people who want to take down the royal family since the royal family's magic power is declining. Some nobles openly admit their dislike of the royal family, the two biggest resisters being Duke Valemont and Duke Renier. The resisters know that they currently cannot deal with the Atlantea royal family without the destruction of Atlantis, so they look for and patronize people whose magical powers are stronger than usual. They hope to find someone powerful enough to take control of Atlantis. Their greatest hope is the rumor that Aquaena, the goddess of the sea, gave birth to a new child two decades ago, who is not a member of the royal family of Atlantea.

   The inhabitants of Atlantis are called Atlanteans. All Atlanteans can use water magic, but each ability is unique. Since the creation of Atlantis, the Atlanteans have interbred with many sea creatures, most notably mermaids and water nymphs. This is why there are some Atlanteans who can breathe underwater.

7. #7Underwater Kingdom

   The Underwater Kingdom is also referred to by other names as the Mermaid Kingdom and Old Atlantis. The underwater kingdom is located directly below Atlantis and is ruled by mermaids. In addition to mermaids, you can also find many friendly magical sea creatures here, such as water nymphs. Before they were banned from the entire territory of Atlantis, the Sirens also lived here.

   After the sirens were banned from the entire territory of Atlantis, the siren kingdom was established around a coral reef not far from Atlantis. The Siren Kingdom is a gathering place for sirens and other hostile aquatic magical creatures. The current king also managed to tame a kraken and that kraken is currently guarding the borders of the kingdom. Even after all this time, many Sirens are still angry about being banned from Atlantis and many want revenge.

   Mermaids and Mermans are aquatic creatures with the head and upper body of a human and the tail of a fish. The females called mermaid and the males caled mermans. They are beautiful and playful creatures who are friendly and peace-loving. Mermaids can be found all over the world, but the largest mermaid kingdom is located under Atlantis. When mermaids cry, their tears turn into pearls. Their pearl tears and scales are worth a lot of money, which is why they are hunted by many greedy people, mainly pirates. This is why mermaids generally avoid people. Thanks to Aquaena's blessing, the mermaids of the underwater kingdom are freely can change their mermaid tails for human legs, allowing them to freely enter Atlantis.

    Sirens are often confused with mermaids because they are also aquatic creatures with the head and upper body of a human and the tail of a fish. But unlike mermaids, sirens are not friendly creatures at all, quite the opposite. They are vengeful and take pleasure in people's suffering. To survive, they consume people's life energy, which is why they lure unsuspecting sailors into a trap with their sweet song and drown them while draining people's life force. All sirens are beautiful and can freely hypnotize people. Before the sailors die, the sirens find pleasure in showing them cruel visions. Sirens can freely switch between their siren form and their human form, so they can easily stay on land. All sirens have pointed teeth and long, sharp claws.

    The Celestial Kingdom is a powerful and advanced kingdom located high in the sky, among the clouds. It is full of celestial and air magical creatures. It is mainly ruled by angels and air elementals. All magical beings who can fly are free to enter, but others can only enter through specially created portals and only with the permission and invitation of the royal family. The Celestial Kingdom has a close and competitive relationship with Atlantis. The celestial kingdom is very advanced and often competes with Atlantis to see which of them can come up with a greater invention. The two kingdoms have been making alliances for centuries and helped each other when war broke out.
