That was the last whistle and when he looked up, he saw that his team had won. The score was 109-107, once the told the other team good game they all headed back to the locker room where they praised each other for the moves they made to achieve their victory. But once their coach walked in, the locker room went silent.
They had a meeting and a "mini" practice, practicing free throws since they missed so many whenever they were at the free throw line. After what seemed like forever he sat down on the bench and went on his phone. He saw he had 3 missed calls from his mom, sighing he called her back as he walked out the gym.
"Yeah?" He said as he heard his mother pick up, as soon as he heard her voice he already knew he was going to get an earful from her too. Once she was done chewing him out he hung up, sighing again. He walked back inside the gym and got his stuff. He told his teammates he'll see them later and started walking out of the gym.
The cool night air blew against his warm tingling skin as he walked back to the dorms, as he listened to music he thought to swing past your place, to help him take his mind off the shitty night he had. As took the elevator to your floor and walked until he saw your name written on the name tag on the door.
