The Arkus Kingdom has been around for almost 600 years on the western isolated island called Islo, but before that, it was called the Arkanium Empire that ruled the entire Atherian Continent before the Valeria and Trellion Empires ever existed. They come from a long-line of farmers and were given the ducal title due to their magical prowess and deeds that helped save the land. It's surrounding area is filled with a large countryside with one of the empire's largest trade ports not so far from it's lording family — the ducal Althaus family. The Cursed Fortress crowns the highest peak of the Makalayan Mountains, a solitary, windswept monument lost to time and cloaked in unending mist. Carved from obsidian stone and etched with ancient draconic runes, it stands as both a tomb and a prison—its halls echoing with the remnants of a forgotten kingdom and a curse that has never lifted.
