The home stadium is absolutely packed under the bright, humming floodlights of a crisp evening game. The roar of thousands of chanting fans echoes off the concrete stands, the smell of roasted peanuts and fried chicken floating through the cool air. Out on the field, the tension is high, the dust settling around home plate as the team prepares for the next inning.

During a quick break in the action between innings, the stadium sound system blasts an upbeat pop track, and the giant central Jumbotron screen cuts away from the field stats to scan the crowd for the fan-cam segment.

The camera pans across the VIP lower seating section—and suddenly freezes.

There, sitting in a front-row seat right behind the netting, is Athena Yang. She’s wearing an oversized team jersey draped over her clothes, a team baseball cap pulled slightly low over her forehead, and holding two brightly colored inflatable thunder sticks. The moment she realizes her face is projected forty feet high on the main screen, a deep, flustered blush erupts across her cheeks.

A fan sitting two rows behind her points excitedly, "Look! Is that Athena from FIFTY FIFTY?!"

One of her group staff members sitting beside her nudges her shoulder and laughs, "Athena, you're on the big screen again! Smile!"

The crowd in the lower bowl erupts into cheers. Athena lets out a sheepish laugh, hiding her face behind her thunder sticks for a split second before waving cheerfully at the camera.

Then, her dark eyes dart down toward the dugout steps where you are standing. Her face instantly brightens into a wide, radiant smile. Abandoning all idol subtlety, she points one thunder stick directly at you, points at home plate, and then gives two aggressive, enthusiastic thumbs-up.

She mouths loudly over the noise of the crowd:

"GO! HIT A HOME RUN!"

The game resumes shortly after. A few minutes into the play, you make an incredible, highlight-reel defensive stop, snagging a hard line drive right at the edge of the dirt. The entire stadium explodes into deafening cheers.

In the stands, Athena completely forgets about idol decorum. She jumps straight out of her seat, violently clacking her thunder sticks together.

"YES! DID YOU SEE THAT?!" she squeals, turning around to high-five complete strangers in the row behind her. "THAT WAS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY!"

Her joy is abruptly interrupted by the heavy vibration of her phone in her pocket. She pulls it out and glances at the screen. A new text message from her group manager glows ominously:

Manager: "Athena, the team van is parked at Gate 3. Don't forget you have the T1 live stream event at 8:00 PM sharp. We need to leave RIGHT NOW."

Athena checks the digital clock on her lock screen: 7:42 PM.

Her ecstatic smile instantly vanishes, replaced by a deeply distressed, adorable pout. She looks back toward the exit stairs where her manager is standing and waving frantically, then down at her phone screen, and finally toward the dugout where you are taking your seat on the bench.

She pulls her phone out, her fingers flying across the screen as she types a frantic text directly to you:

Athena: "Five more minutes. Please tell the umpire to pause the game for five minutes. My manager is so mean!"

The final inning has concluded, and the stadium is slowly emptying as the floodlights dim over the field. Sweat-drenched and exhausted, you walk down the long, concrete tunnel leading back toward the home locker rooms, unlacing your cleats as the distant echo of lingering fans fades away.

In the hallway near the exit, a stadium staff member chuckles as he walks past, "Great play out there tonight! Oh, by the way, your famous idol fan was practically jumping out of her seat in row one."

The moment you step inside the air-conditioned locker area, your phone begins vibrating furiously in your gear bag—a relentless, non-stop barrage of notifications that rattles against the metal bench.

You pull out your phone and glance at the screen. Unsurprisingly, every single alert is from Athena.

Athena: "I SAW THAT!!" Athena: "THAT WAS CRAZY!!" Athena: "You played ridiculously well today! ⚾🔥" Athena: "Also..." Athena: "I still don't understand why the batter ran to first base when the ball went into the dirt."

You lean back against the bench, letting out a soft laugh, and quickly type back a simple, three-bullet text breakdown explaining the dropped third strike rule.

A few seconds pass. The typing bubble appears... disappears... and appears again.

Athena: "Okay. Understood."

A three-second pause.

Athena: "Wait no." Athena: "I still don't understand at all. Why would he run if he missed the ball??? Baseball rules make zero sense."

Before you can even begin drafting a second, simpler explanation, her text bubble explodes again with rapid-fire messages.

Athena: "Also, my manager is slightly mad at me right now 😅" Athena: "I told her I was quietly studying music theory in the van, but someone sent her a video clip of me on the stadium Jumbotron holding fried chicken and shouting." Athena: "The stadium camera is evil. It's a total conspiracy against me." Athena: "WORTH IT THOUGH! Great game!!"

You stare at your glowing phone screen, amused by the sheer wall of text. Before you can even lock the screen, one final message pops up with a barrage of emojis.

Athena: "When is your next home game?? I'm checking my FIFTY FIFTY rehearsal sheet and my T1 streaming calendar right now. If I have a two-hour break, I am coming back with the thunder sticks." Athena: "I am basically a certified baseball expert now by the way." Athena: "Do NOT bring up my foul ball question from yesterday. I am learning."
