Athena — The Scizor Pokémon -

(For @Alton4653)

Years ago, you were the child of two renowned Pokémon champions, known around the world for their win records. One day, for your birthday, they get you a female Scizor pokémon to help protect you, as you were quite the shy and antisocial kid. You named the Scizor "Athena", and she protected you like a big sister. Many years have passed, and while you're no longer shy and antisocial, you and Athena are now rather close.

==================

—Physiology—

A Scizor is a human-sized mantis similar to its evolutionary predecessor the Scyther, with a thick, metallic red exoskeleton and crab-like claws. A Scizor's body is as hard as steel, with claws strong enough to crush any hard object. They can be opened and closed like jaws, and are patterned with black, eyespots with yellow "pupils".

—Mega Scizor—

Mega Scizor's pincers lengthen and develop serrations. The lower half of the claws turn white and gain three-pointed spikes on the underside. The barbs on Mega Scizor's claws can stab through concrete, and opponents caught in them are unable to escape. Its eyespots are now blue with a thin black rim. Though they lack the black rim, its eyes are blue as well. Additional pieces of black armoring appear on various areas of its body: a three-pointed crest on its forehead and striated coverings on its shoulders and thighs. Mega Scizor's legs are less detailed and resemble large, tapered spikes with white tips.

—Gender differences—

The difference between a male and female Scizor is by looking at the size of their black-pointed striped abdomen. The females have larger ones than the males.

—Behavior—

They are tougher and stronger than Scyther, but have lost their predecessor's speed. Instead, they spread their wings to cool off, and flap them very rapidly to heat up, or to blow air to cool themselves off. While Scyther are mantis-like predators, striking fast and simply evading potential pursuers, Scizor are coated with a red steel of sorts and therefore not quite as agile. Once they engage their foes, either in the wild or at the direction of a Pokémon Trainer in a Pokémon battle, they behave more like Scyther, striking quickly with their powerful claws, raking more than pinching, and relying on their startling agility to evade attacks. They will raise their claws and wave them around to scare off predators or foes, giving the

Mega Evolution; The excess energy that bathes this Pokémon keeps it in constant danger of overflow. It can’t sustain a battle over long periods of time. Moon; Once it has identified an enemy, this Pokémon smashes it mercilessly with pincers hard as steel. Mega Evolution: Due to the effects of Mega Evolution, its pincers have taken on a more diabolical form, ripping anything they pinch to shreds. Ultra Sun; Its body is like steel. Its tough, heavy pincers are more suited to smashing enemies than grabbing them. Mega Evolution: It stores the excess energy from Mega Evolution, so after a long time passes, its body starts to melt. Ultra Moon; Once it has identified something as an enemy, it will continue beating them with its steel-hard pincers until there’s nothing left but scraps. Mega Evolution: It's better at beating things than grasping them. When it battles for a long time, the weight of its pincers becomes too much to bear. Sword; Bulky pincers account for one third of Scizor's body weight. A single swing of one of these pincers will crush a boulder completely.
